I read several reviews complaining about the service... on this site as well as Yelp
The service was excellent! Attentive, courteous and welcoming...
The food was very good especially the pear salad
If in the area again to go to the PlayHouse I would definitely return
We ate at La Cucina for the first time before a show at the Papermill. The food was very good, needed a bit more sauce on the pasta with the chicken Francese. The service was also very good up until it was time for coffee and dessert. They were fairly busy, and the service slacked a bit. Overall, very good experience.
Everything was adequate except for dessert. I ordered orange sorbet and was served a hollowed-out orange with the sorbet inside. Nice, except this concoction was frozen solid! By frozen, I mean I was not able to chip off a bit of sorbet to eat. It took a half hour of trying to crack the thing. My husband ordered biscotti but the waiter came back to say they didn't have any. In an Italian restaurant? It also seemed the place was much less populated than it had been when it was Clemenza's.
Would have given a higher score but we had reservations, had to wait over 1/2 hr before being seated. Had to ask to have our wine opened and for wine glasses. Received our salad which was very good but then waited over an hour for our meal. I understand they were short a person but thought this was really slow. Might go back because the food was really good but it's not going to be for quite a while. Hope they get their staffing situation fixed.
Our reservation was at 5:15 so when we arrived it wasn't that busy, but by 6:00 the place was packed. Our waitperson, Jeffrey, was attentive, friendly and not afraid to have a conversation. He was knowledgeable about the menu and, even as it became very busy, still checked on us often to see to our needs. The food was excellent and our friends who joined us also raved about the food. It is a BYOB restaurant which we like. We will definitely go back and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Italian food just like Mamma used to make.
Wonderful little find!
Always a great experience here. Solid Italian food. Excellent service. Never feel rushed.
Enjoyable! Great food!
Happy new year everything was wonderful thank you ❤️
Changed menu not a plus. Wait staff needs a lot of work!
Went here before going to a show. Was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. Service was excellent. Food was excellent.onky complaint was a little sparse on the pasta.
Great food, great service, convenient location.
Excellent meal and service! We shared many appetizers and everyone was extremely happy with their meals, too. We forgot to bring wine for byob, but the place down the street delivered in a flash. Lovely evening!
We had dinner at Cucina 382. We noticed the menu changed and the food was still delicious with larger portions. There were more fish and healthier selections. We will be back.
Great place. Food was good. Will come back
Great food and very attentive service! Ambiance is nice, and they have a coal fired pizzeria attached!
Went to see a show at Papermill so wanted something near by. Great food, service and atmosphere. It was a Wednesday night so it wasn’t crowded so the noice level was fine!! Would definitely go again if going to another show!
This was a horrible experience. My husbands food had a large piece of plastic in it. It took an hour to be served. I would not recommend.
Eh—-would not return, small portions, salty, nice decor-
The dinner was delicious. My server ‘Pre’ was friendly and attentive.
Food is better then expected. Price is reasonable. Bring a bottle of red and enjoy!
We came for dinner before the theater. Seated immediately, the staff was attentive throughout, but we never felt rushed. We shared the Polpette appetizer which is two really large meatballs. They had a nice texture and the red sauce was slightly sweet which we liked. Both entrees lived up to our expectations. We will be going back again the next time we go to the theater.
Great place for dinner at a reasonable price. BYOB also a plus if you plan ahead. Will definitely return...
Perfect :-) we took friends fir his birthday after going to see a game we were the only ones left and they didn’t rush us food was great as always
Due to an unexpected death in the family I had to schedule a Mother’s Day dinner at the last minute, and they were so accommodating! Our waiter knew the menu well and had awesome recommendations, the food was fresh, classic, delicious, and hearty (Mom ate her take home leftovers!) the atmosphere was very warm & welcoming, family style! And everyone was happy. Recommended!
Service was eh, waiter not too knowledgable about the menu. Three of four people ordered Veal Chop Milanese but it was not a pounded chop but pieces of very thin, overcooked veal cutlet with the salad on top. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was way too salty. The shrimp in garlic appetizer was just ok. It was very pretty inside but a little noisy. May give it another try, may not.
I did not see anything on the website about it being a BYOB restaurant. They have a beautiful bar and it is just there for show, If I had known ahead of time I would have made plans to bring my own. Not quite as upscale as I interpreted it from the website. It was a little loud for my liking.
We had dinner at La Cucina di Clemenza and enjoyed ourselves. The service was excellent.
Excellent food and good service
Absolutely wonderful every time. It’s our go to!
Took a while to get them up and running after the street fair, but food was ok. Like to see a bit more personal touch and actually acknowledge that you are new to the resto.
Best Italian food in Millburn. Love the "Sunday Gravy" and the salads are great too!! Alsois BYOB which is great!! Service always spot on and everyone is super friendly.
Nice ambiance and wait staff. Food was very tasty and fresh. We sat near the fountain, which was a little distracting. Will definitely go again!
Always on point !
One of our favorite local places
The service was excellent. The salad the Pears was very hard. My meal I liked the spinach. I didn’t like the fish. It was sautéed with a thick coating. The desert tartufo was delicious. My husband enjoyed his meal. He had escarole soup. He also had Sunday Gravy.
It was awful. The clams oreganita was all bread crumbs. Don’t think there were any clams in the shells. Food was okay. My pasta was swimming in sauce. Had to ask for cheese for pasta.
Open Tabke took a reservation for 12:30 on Saturday. When I arrived I found that only the pizzeria was open, not the restaurant I had reserved. The manager told me that this has been a problem for awhile.
Very annoying-please work on your schedule
food was not that good, need to think of getting another chef
