Staff are not very attentive to guests even though there may not be many people in the restaurant. We waited about 15-20 mins before our order was taken and we were not even given any water. Staff walk back and forth but don’t take any notice of customers waiting to order. Once staff attend the table they are kind and polite. The salmon and seafood pot were lovely but the garlic bread was oilier than usual. The pork tacos were tasty and very enjoyable
great staff, value for money and the menu was a little varied from last visit, which is great!
Slow service - staff seemed to forget us and we had to find someone to serve us
We have eten at Gusti several times now and this was by far our worst visit. We were using a voucher but that hasn't impacted this review. It was a busy Friday night so maybe that was the problem. My wife's meal and my veggies came after a moderate wait and then my main arrived 10 minutes later! Not good guys. The lamb chops I had were a little over-cooked but everything else was great. We will visit again but if we have the same issues then it will be a no go in the future.
Good venue - views, good food and excellent service....
Beautiful food, nice atmosphere, great service. Good value
I had the tacos for the entree, they were very tasty and were a large serving size. My main was the beef curry, also very tasty (the head chef is Indian after all). The food was well presented and fresh. The waitresses very friendly and attentive.
Food was lovely. Only one criticism, the Grazing Plate either needed cracker biscuits or bread to use with the dips. Garlic bread was beautiful but had a lot of air bubbles which didn't allow much spread to be put on it.
excellent staff excellent service - chef is hands on and prepares special requests.
The food was amazing. All 3 of us really enjoyed our starters (Seared tuna loin, Pork tacos, Wasabi prawns) & mains (Slow cooked red wine lamb shanks, Seafood pot au feu, steak).
However, the service was terrible. We were very close to walking out.
We waited by "please wait to be seated" sign with another couple for 10 minutes before we realised no-one was coming! Then at other end of restaurant for 10 minutes, before I grabbed one of the waitresses rushing around and asked to be seated. We were given a table by back entrance where door keeps opening automatically which wasn't appreciated on a cold night! Had to go looking for our menus ourselves. Asked twice for water and ended up with a piece of plastic floating in mine. They got our drinks wrong but didn't charge for that. Staff were lovely and friendly but just too busy to serve properly.
Would have liked to have had a dessert but never saw a dessert menu & couldn't wait any longer. Shame as this place could be fantastic as food really was excellent.
The best warm mini cinnamon scrolls in the universe!
We visited this restaurant after receiving a gift voucher for my husband’s birthday. The restaurant was noisy but the staff helped us to move to a quieter table when one became available and we retired to the bar for dessert which was more comfortable. The food was expensive for what it was. My husband had the sirloin and added a serving of 3x garlic prawns. Prawns were small and the steak underwhelming considering the price. ( $51)
The staff did their best though more staff were needed. We had to wait an uncomfortable amount of time to even order a drink.
We are not in a hurry to return when there are so many other restaurants.
It was the best Barramundi I have had in a l-o-n-g time ... the service was excellent and could not do enough ... very friendly and well looked after .. every request was met with a smile!
We stood for 10 minutes before anybody acknowledged us. The restaurant was freezing and we had to wear our coats the entire time. The food was not replaced quick enough and some areas remained empty. We had to ask for sauce, cutlery etc. We could not find anybody to ask when we wanted fried eggs instead of what was available. Overall a bad experience.
This is the second time in the last 3 weeks I have been to Gusti.
I was pleasantly surprised with the welcome and the service this time.
Kim and Jessica were great, after serving they checked if we were happy with the food. A contrast to the last visit.
I visited the restaurant in the afternoon last Sunday 11th. The supervisor can not recollect her name an Asian girl was lovely in her mannerisms and served us well. She inquired about the food and if we enjoyed it.
To all the three of them keep up the great work.
The food was good and fresh.
The steak was slightly over cooked I had asked for a medium got a medium well but overall was good.
We had a family lunch, service was very good, pleasant staff and tasty food.
Amazing food, lovely waitress with great attitude and smile. Our experience was enjoyable. We will return for more delicious food.
Great food, great service just a bit hard to find a parking on Sundays
Good food in a beautiful river views location. We went for a lovely walk afterwards.
I went for the buffet breakfast using a deal voucher. Very good value given the range and quality of choices. Staff were very pleasant and efficient.
Our 3rd time there recently. Overall food quality was very good as usual but this time round the portions for the fish and chips and beef cheek were much smaller. We gave some feedback to the chef regarding the fish and chips who didn’t seem interested which was pretty disappointing. However, service staff were friendly and attentive as they always have been.
Loved It... Loved It.. looking forward to going again ASAP... Cheers Lionel McPhee
lovely surrounds good and helpful service and a good range of food
Great service by friendly staff. Food was very nice and was good value.
The service was non existent when we first came in and sat down. For 10 minutes or more no one to greet, explain about Groupon, serve water or take a drink order though the restaurant had around 4 tables only with customers.
When I see waitresses laying tables or roaming aimlessly they need to be taught the sequence of service and what to prioritise.
Being from the Hotel Industry for many years for me the first impression is very important.
The service later was good, & prompt.
Dan and one of the old waiters apologies did not see his name were great.
Always a treat to dine at this restaurant.
Staff are friendly, food is delicious, complimentary papers are a bonus, views of river are appealing, price is great value with a coupon.
Hope to return again and introduce more of our friends.
great place, excellent personal service, as we had the chef make a special item for us catering to our taste for one person had several allergies which we thoroughly enjoyed. highly recommended
Meal was well cooked, tasty and presentation was great. Have eaten there before and will do so again.
Very good food from entree, main & dessert, all lived up to expectations.Especially the Sticky date pudding, yummy indeed. Spacious tables & very comfy chairs also nice views of the Swan River. Good customer service, however a bit slow. I would definitely recommend & will be going back soon.
Nice food well presented with pleasant service overlooking the Swan river.
The food is really really good. The prices are very reasonable. Big servings. We loved all the food served to us. Our little picky eater finished all her pizza which was surprising. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food at a nice location. Every dish was delicious. Forget about going to Freo for fish and chips. You’ll find fantastic fish and chips right here in the heart of the city.
Quiet at lunchtime but food was excellent. Staff need a bit more training when settling the bill as the coupons caused a bit of confusion.
excellent - had no complaints about anything. Would definately recommend and will go back again.
At the reception, we were greeted by an awkward, perhaps new server, and was seated. The server was clumsy with service and did not seem to have a keen eye on details, but generally seemed polite. We had to literally look for him to take our order, which I felt was perhaps due to a lack of initiative.
We had the seafood linguini, the crispy salmon and fried cauliflower fritters, finishing off with a warm sticky date pudding. Food was mediocre at best, but serving portion of the salmon was very generous.
Overall, great value only if used with the coupon. Otherwise, I would not recommend dining here at full price.
The avocado dip was enjoyable until I found a piece of a plastic lid in it. I raised it with staff and suggested more attention to detail be paid prior to serving food to patrons.
Asked for steak well done but it came out medium and the excess blood bleeding into the mash.
Staff also cram patrons into one corner of the restaurant notwithstanding there is plenty of space available. Nearby noise makes conversation difficult amongst the table.
Food quality was very good. Service staff were very pleasant and polite but a little inexperienced.
Great food, a bit over crowded, ran out of some hot dishes etc, so had to wait. Overall a great experience, will return again
It was lovely to start the day with such a good variety of things to eat. Loved the hash browns and heaps of sausage. I would think it is a great idea for a first stop before exploring Perth.
Booked for breakfast for 4 with a Scoopon deal, only downside was that slots available were earlier than we would have liked. We all agreed that it was good and we would be back.
