Christmas Day Lunch & Dinner
cost $40.00 per head, food selection was below standard compared to other hotels what was available was cold or no supply in hot trays failed to top up empty hot dishes
Food was disgusting. Supposed to be main, but was tiny serve of pre-pack calamari fried into oblivion. The "salad" with it was only a minute garnish. Worst meal I have had for years. Will never go back.
I hate to do this to what to date is an otherwise exceptional hotel...
Sunday brunch was talked up as a must do thing.
- uninspiring food options
- not resupplied, so many options not available... we arrived at noon.
- no bar service, have to walk to another part of the hotel to order a drink
- no staff around during service
- when I mentioned that $40 a head was a little ‘overpriced’ for what was on offer a staff member suggested that maybe I should have sat in the ‘lobby’ and ordered a la carte...
My family and I left and ate elsewhere.. no refund was suggested and I don’t argue in hotels...
We were celebrating our second year of being Engaged. Also we are having a wedding here on 7th December and we wanted to try it out, we loved it, the service was amazing. The food was delicious and nothing was a problem for the staff.
Club Sandwhich was cold. Toast was hard. Chicken and bacon was cold. Was ok to eat but would have preferred it to be hot not cold. That was from everyone that ordered the club sandwhich
Gusti continues as a local gem - jealously guarded by knowledgeable regulars . Recommended.
Nothing spesial. Limited menu. I liked fish and honey.
You can choose to sit inside or out. Outside, looking over the river during the summer would be just lovely. Staff were friendly and food was great.
Whilst an attempt was made to make it a special Mothers Day, something was lost in the execution.
Staff appeared be overwhelmed, and openly displayed frustration - there was delays in presenting the complimentary champagne, and some of the food was variable in its preparation.
While the pricing was right for the occasion, offering it as a special mothers day may detract from the desire to attract repeat customers (while interfering with hotel guests).
Great location..busy day being mothers day
Keeping up the hot food plates caused small delays
Will go again
went for Mothers Day breakfast but it seemed there were just too many clients for them to be able to service to a reasonable level. Very crowded and noisy and had to wait a long for food to be replenished.
Good range for buffet breakfast. Bacon was a bit cold.
Good Hotel located restaurant. Reasonable menu selections although a little limited variety.
It is very rare that I would write a negative review, but unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience for us. We were farewelling a friend who is moving overseas and the occasion was soured by the worst service we have ever experienced in Perth. Although we had made a reservation they were not prepared for us when we arrived on time and we were seated at a table that had not been cleaned and had butter all over the floor underneath. The waitress asked us on arrival if we had any cards/vouchers we would like to use and when my friend said that she had an Entertainment Card the waitress snapped at her that she couldn't use it here! We weren't actually expecting to anyway! This particular waitress was downright rude - we were served a bottle of warm mineral water and when we asked for ice she slammed the bottle on the table, rolled her eyes and stormed off! We were astounded! This attitude continued all throughout our lunch. The other wait staff were friendly but incompetent, even our coffee order was incorrect and there were only three of us. We were made to feel that we were nuisances. When it was time to leave we waited for ages and ages for a staff member to appear - not sure where they all were by then but there was nobody around. Not what you would expect at all. We will not go back and we would recommend to our friends and family that they don't visit Gusti. Sorry. Very, very poor indeed. We have never experienced anything like it.
I am disappointed that pumpkin soup is too much level also very weak taste with water. Not many beans with grill meat.
The food was delicious but it would have been good to have had more greens with the steak or at least been offered a side dish at the time of ordering. When we stated we weren’t having dessert we were pretty much forgotten not even asked if we wanted tea or coffee.
Gusti continues to provide an excellent menu - breakfast through lunch and dinner.
Long respected within the Crowne Plaza / Intercontinental Hotels family, it’s fine food is supported by excellent service an a prime location overlooking the Swan River with inside & alrfresco seating. And 2 hours free parking when you go to lunch.
Pleasant view with indoor and outdoor table options. Food is tasty, well presented and value for money. Staff were very polite, attentive and responsive to requests. A great opportunity to and
When I booked reservation, there was nothing to say it would be a buffet.
Food was ok, but wasn't what we wanted.
Not worth a revisit - food was pretty average and service poor. No asking if we needed another drink, no water top ups, didon't even clear plates. I requested more water but they forgot. It wasn't busy so no excuses. I will not return
Service was ordinary and food was tasteless and beef rendang was tough as old boots
Absolutely amazing evening spent at Gusti Restaurant & Bar. We enjoyed a table for 10 on the deck watching the sunset over the Swan River. It was a magnificent view and great atmosphere.
Loved the menu, something for everyone! Thoroughly enjoyed the Terrace Tasting Plate and the Charcuterie Boards! The food was amazing, and everyone commented on how great their meal was. Beers were cold and service was prompt. All staff were friendly and helpful and we want to say Thank you to Kennedy, he was an amazing host for the night, and was available for all our needs! We had an enjoyable, relaxing evening at Gusti and will definitely be back again soon!
A quick Christmas luncheon catch up, the staff where amazing, polite, prompt, and friendly could not ask for better service, just had the steak sanga it was amazing the steak was tender we ordered chips on the side but we didn't need them as the sanga was more than enough.
The food was very nice, well above expectations, and the service good and friendly. Decor was quite clinical and could do with softening and a few pictures or something on the walls. Quite surprised at how relatively quiet the restaurant was for a Friday night, maybe being located a bit off the main strip, bet it certainly wasn't because of the food. Only other gripe was the cold drafts as automatic doors opened and closed throughout the chilly spring evening. Great view of the Swan River and an outside area that would be very nice on a warmer evening.
The food was not value for money. Thank God we have a scoop on voucher. Wish there are more choices in the menu list. Presentation of food is very ordinary. Service was slow and there was even a mistake in the sauce that was served to our main dish.
We used a scoopon voucher for a Breakfast Buffet. Good value coupon but the hot food could have been hotter. some was lukewarn to cold which was not very pleasant. other foods there were good.
Absolutely amazing. I would very highly recommend Gusti. I wasn't sure what to expect but the Barramundi was to die for. My friend had the rending and he said it was very rare to find it made correctly so he too was impressed and with the Apple Pie at the end. The Vietmenese spring rolls were stacked with tiger prawns. I really can't fault anything about the place. Worth every cent and we will be back as regulars. Thank you
The food was good ,but there could have been more choice on the dinner menu.Staff were helpfull and the tables are well spaced . The food was very good.
Upon arrival at the restaurant we were met with a good number of stairs with no ramp - we had a pram. We were greeted by pleasant staff and given our choice of tables. We were given the menu which had a very limited selection for lunch. The food was nice and the portion size was very good.
This would be a great place to meet friends for a quiet drink with a great outlook of the river and some snacks. Not sure what the Dinner Menu looks like, but we will be back to try it.
food is good and not too expensive service was good Theresa was good in serving us
Loved eating here! Service was out of this world amazing and food was equally as great. Will be back!
Nice restaurant, great location, good food although menu was too short, lacked variety and choices, great service just a bit pricey. Would go there more often if it was a bit more affordable.
A lovely setting if seated outside. Friendly service and food was really nice. Not a cheap dining venue, but deals can be found online or local entertainment book.
Would visit again.
Was lucky enough to get a scoopon before it was all sold out. Food was amazing service was excellent, they cated to my wishes as i have alergies. Overall great fine dining restaurant. 😃
Good service but food was poor, and the prices ridiculous.
Family just trying different venues for breakfast, couldn't fault Gusti..
Food was cooked as perfect as you would get.
They make a very nice Chai Latte too!
Just across from the river, so the view is nice..
Service was friendly and attentive..
"We'll be back... and in greater numbers..."
Special 92nd Birthday for my Mum. She was in a wheelchair and the staff were exceptional in the way they looked after her. The food was lovely and our bubbly waitress could not do enough for us. We had a table right at the front with a great view of the river. Unfortunately, the live band outside was right behind us and both Mum and my husband have hearing problems, so that was a bit of a test at times. There was room to move but we decided to stay where we were. The food.........Mum said the Wasabi Prawns were the best she had ever had. Hard act to follow!!!
All in all a very nice experience. A treat was in store for Mum. The chef had put together a lovely dessert complete with a Happy Birthday message. A great ending to make her feel extra special on her birthday.
Thanks to everyone at The Gusti, exceptional care, food and service.
Took over 10 minutes to be seated then to take our order. Delivered kids desserts (chocolate cake) to incorrect table, then ran out and gave us one brownie and one chocolate cake without any apology or explanation. My children are allergic to nuts! They brought ice cream to replace brownie as they had run out of chocolate cake in rum and raisin flavour, totally unacceptable. Asked if we would be compensated and they offered $3 off the kids $18 meal. Very disappointing experience. Will not return.
We found it extremely difficult to find a park. The restaurant was apparently overbooked and whilst we were seated, we had to wait 20 minutes before even being given a menu.
I felt sorry for the staff as we saw several tables complaining loudly and one table walkout without paying.
The staff were friendly and apologetic but unfortunately the food was average and the "ambiance" not conducive to a Saturday evening date night.
Good food and outstanding service. Attentive staff help make a great dining experience.
