Overall the best seafood I have ever had especially the calamari
Good meal, fun atmosphere
The crab legs could have been fresher. They didn't snap when broken. Everything else was great!
I took a chance on Crab Shack today after reading some reviews. The service was ok...she was very polite but not checking on the customer often. The food was a little over priced for the meal I got but it was good. I understand pricing is going up due to the economy. I will return
Bland and overpriced. Definitely not worth the 250 we spent
Excellent food. Service was wonderful. The noise from another table was annoying but they left before our main meal came.
Food was ok. Nothing to return for, but not horrible either. Being from the Gulf Coast of Florida I can be picky with seafood.
Service was good overall. Only issue was the server forgot to order our dessert that took 20m to cook. We weren’t in a hurry so no problem. Food portions were good, breading on fried food a bit salty.
Service was slow, server was nice but obviously new to serving. Didn’t take dinner order till appetizer was on table and it wrong appetizer. Manager/owner was accommodating and brought correct appetizer. Food was ok, jerk chicken with nice presentation but Husbands food was cold. Server didn’t follow through on refills, had to flag server down to get bill and then again to pay bill. Wasn’t a horrible dinning experience, just disappointing, not a lot of seafood choices in area and we were there for birthday celebration. Tipped right at 15%, which is low for us. My husband has worked in service industry most of his adult life and we usually tip minimum 20%. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
Great Brunch menu! Crab omelette was good...a little dry...needed more sauce accompaniment. Overall a nice Brunch experience.
We came in at 9pm and it was quite. Our server Philip was great and took care of us. The crab legs were well seasoned with old bay. Our grandson like it and wanted more crab legs. Thank you for talking good care of us.
After just coming from Maine I was hesitant to order lobster, but I did and I'm glad. The twin lobster tails were cooked perfectly and delicious. The Street corn and scalloped potatoes on the side were also excellent. All party members enjoyed their food. Service was great. My only reason for giving less than 5 stars were the dirty glasses we had on the table and overall less than clean table area.
We absolutely love this place. Relaxing, good food, great drinks and quiet atmosphere.
Sunday Brunch was great. The kids had a reasonable breakfast and wifey gorged on shellfish, being allergic myself, there are still plenty of options for me
Enjoyed our fish meals....got there when they opened so really quiet and safe
Food was nothing like we expected. To much seasoning and was not what we expected. Service was good .
Food was great and our waitress was wonderful! Will definitely be back
Waitress was awesome, food was very overpriced and very dainty. No flavor. Would not recommend.
The food was cooked poorly, most of it was burnt or the flavoring was very off. I have always loved this place but was very disappointed for how much we paid for low quality food.
Nobody was enforcing masks. Food was soggy and overpriced. Compared to quality.
We had excellent service and the food was very good. We will definitely go back.
Excellent service, clean and our food was amazing. The manager on duty came over, talked with us and made sure everything was good. We can't wait to come back!!
The food and service were great. The bathrooms were very clean. However, it was freezing in the restaurant.
Our first visit. Service was good, food was pretty good but waaaay overpriced. We’ll give it another try.
It was me and the wife’s anniversary we enjoyed ourselves good food and good customer service
Food was warm - not hot. This is. A seafood restaurant but they had no seafood utensils - a knife and regular size fork.
Positive experience by us all. It was much quieter than our first visit there but we enjoyed the food and service was good and efficient.
The website and menu are quite deceptive. It may have just been a bad night for the server and kitchen staff. I asked for a ribeye -medium rare. I was served a piece of sirloin covered in a cheesy white crab type substance with two rubbery halves of a lobster tail.
New Years eve
Very accommodating to our group of 5 celebrating a birthday. Served birthday cake we had brought, a surprise to the birthday boy, lit candles and all. Server was attentive but unobtrusive. We had a very enjoyable evening. thanks!!
This is one of my wife and my favorite seafood restaurants. On a Friday evening we met her parents and grandmother for dinner since some of us had to work on thanksgiving. There must have been a company Christmas party which Crab Shack had an area roped off for them but they all congregated next to the bar on the same side as our table. More and more kept showing up for that party and literally had people’s backsides within a couple feet of our faces. On top of the party’s noise the music was sky high. Thank god I decided to notify our server about the problem and she made our visit much more comfortable and less noisy by switching us to a table on the other side of the restaurant. The crab dip was awesome and my crab cake sandwich was a little peppery. I usually get a crab leg steamer (which is delicious) but decided to try something different. Our seating close to that standing party could have been easily avoided but kudos to the staff for quickly accommodating our request to move!
Great hostess and server.. Che
. The food is great albeit pricey..
The whole experience was great. You can tell that whoever runs the store has put thought into making it an experience for their customers. Food was great, service was wonderful, and most importantly, my girlfriend had a blast on her birthday.
Our first visit. It was HIGHLY recommended by our Daughter. The Seafood was simply outstanding, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant .
In every way, it puts Red Lobster to shame. My only complaint is that it isn't in Charleston, WV, but some 2-1/2 hours drive away. HIGHLY RECOMENDED
The Crab Shack is pretty good for a seafood restaurant in a land locked state like wV. This is good, casual and dirty eating. Just roll up your sleeves and dig in.
Shrimp cocktail app was very good. Our brunch dishes were tasty as well-
Very good fish sandwich...for lent we have gone to different restaurants and this was the best.
Food was great, our waitress was awesome, we gave her a $50 tip.
Food was awesome. We had calamari for appetizer and the steamed meals for dinner. My only complaint was the price of the alcohol and most speciality drinks had rum in them. My server was spot on.
I don’t know if it was just cause they were doing a special for fat Tuesday but this was by far the worst crab legs I have ever had. They were way over cooked and tough. Not at all what I was expecting for the cost of the upgrade on the buffet
