Excellent for pescetarians, a lovely range of ceviche and other fish dishes. All delicious in Peruvian lime or Japanese sauces - nothing totally exotic though, most dishes are salmon, tuna, sea-bass or prawn. We recommend the mushroom skewers, and the guacamole was the freshest I've ever had, with a nice kick from the fresh chilli. Most dishes are sharing plates, with either 2 or 3 pieces to share - so ideal for a party of 3.
Amazing decor, this has to be one of the most beautiful and atmospheric restaurants in London. If you're a member of the private member's club (which has the same menu I'd guess) you get to eat on the ground floor overlooking Piccadilly and Green Park, for everyone else the restaurant is underground but they have created the space amazingly well, with subtle lighting and dark-hued tones. The bar where you walk in is absolutely stunning.
Charming staff. Some COVID precautions (staff all wear masks in Peruvian fabrics, hand sanitiser on offer, temperature check on arrival, tables fairly well distanced although there probably will be people sitting at the tables next to you). We went on a Tuesday night in July 2020 and the place was three quarters full with a happy buzz, many well-dressed but casual groups of 2, 3 or 4 enjoying themselves, no suits.
If you want to experience the venue without eating, the bar area looks stunning and was literally empty throughout our visit (so less COVID risk).
It is pricy, and the bill has a way of adding up to a lot more than you'd expect. Staff will smoothly suggest you might like another margarita... we were never shown an actual drinks menu and didn't realise till the end that the standard margaritas are £17 each, which is a lot even for Mayfair. Expect to spend around £75 per head even if you have only one drink each, and it would be easy to spend more.
Assuming you're happy with the cost, highly recommended - a relaxed but stylish evening out.
Felt slightly rushed, due to not being aware of a timelimit on the booking which left us having a negative experience towards the end of the meal, being told we only had 15mins left to have dessert or leave quite abruptly. This was a time when the live music started and we were enjoying some cocktails, we would have spent more money at the bar but wasn't given the choice.
A wider vegatable and extras selection - I presume it is due to the current climate that the menu is used through the phone, which wasn't the most user friendly.
Amazing food. Spendy obvs but really delicious.
Amazing atmosphere and food!
Food was very good and staff were friendly. Only complaint would be was that we felt they were trying to rush us through as fast as they could. So a lot of the food arrived together and we were made to feel very rushed.
Everything was great and the lubina was simply amazing!
Went as a group of three for a birthday meal. Food and drinks were tasty
Great food, friendly staff, lively atmosphere! Great for birthdays
Sorry. What is the fuss all about?
Once in life i dont advice two times visit the food is so common nothing special, the special menu its not good at all. Stuck with the regular menu its better
Loved the food, service and ambience! Always consistent with food quality and taste!
We had the testing menu and it was Nothing less than perfect
Everything we had was delicious. Even kids loved their ribs and sashimis.
The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back!
Amazing atmosphere and even better food!
Unacceptable treatment / service from a restaurant of this price. I’ve been to COYA London / Dubai / Monaco and never again.
Amazing food, vibe and presentation! 10/10
Great staff ! I my favorite orders are the sea bass risotto, corn and peanut salad, and guacamole.
Went for dinner with my girlfriend, after visiting Other restaurants with a fusion influence of Peruvian cuisine we were really looking forward to try COYA!
The dinner has been excellent, the presentation of the dishes was absolutely perfect and the quality of the food was really really good. Unfortunately we didn’t find the flavours we were looking for, almost every ceviche was lacking of the lime flavours we were hoping for.
Overall is a really nice restaurant where to have food, I must say you can have nicer food for a bit cheaper price in other restaurants!
The food was great, but the portions are so little
Fantastic food and service.
had fun alot
Tasty food and friendly staff
We had an amazing time and the food was lovely. We will differently coming back.
The waitress from Italy was the best!!!
We came to celebrate our friend's graduation and the only thing we got a plate with words and there were any staff coming to celebrate with music or even celebration candles!! And when we asked for it, the waitress said why would you need candles it is not your birthday!!!
Great music (although it was too loud I could hardly make convo). Food was amazing but wouldn’t recommend if you weren’t a fan of spicy food as most dishes were mild-spicy. Set menu offered way too much food but was fair for the paid price. Loved their chicken and churros!! Starve yourself before going.
The best atmosphere ever.
Amazing meal great atmosphere and staff were super!
We chose the set menu, the food was delicious and there was enough of it. We felt some were better than others but overall most were well thought out flavors and combinations. It was nice to try the different tastes of each dish, and the waiters were helpful in explaining what each dish was. The guacamole was made from raw ingredients on-the-spot at our table, which was a delightful experience to watch. The ambience was also good, there were quite a few people there for dinner but it wasn't overbearingly loud. The cocktail that I ordered also came in a beautiful ceramic tiki cup.
Vey good. Excellent service. Great food😍
