Caribbean
Spreading the contagious spirit of the Caribbean - Cottons food, drink and trademark colorful interiors are all totally tropical, centered around an innovative Caribbean menu inspired by islands from Jamaica to Margarita.

Typical Cottons dishes include jerk chicken with rice ‘n’ peas; homemade curried mutton; and Cottons most popular vegetarian dish Chaguanas Dinner Plate - chana dhal curry served with black eyed bean, chick pea and callaloo fritters, and plantain. All jerk meats at Cottons are grilled and smoked over coals and oak wood chips with hickory and pimiento and covered in Cottons homemade jerk sauce.

Cottons Notting Hill currently holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the bar with the most types of rum commercially available (372). Cocktails are predominantly rum-based featuring Cottons originals like Sorrell Sling – beefeater gin, homemade sorrel squash, fresh lemon, creme de casssis and soda water; Cottons Punch and Killer Doppi made from four different rums.

Staff was very helpful and let us feel welcome,
Stout Punch I ordered wasn’t what I expected or what I had previously at Cottons Camden, it was weak and did not taste has it was meant to or previously made.
Rice & Peas was very tough and dry we couldn’t eat it,
Not sure what rice they use but it should taste much better if it was done properly,

Overall I would return again because this could’ve been a one off,

To end on a positive note the location was very good atmosphere was really nice and staff serving us I would give them 5* ratings.
If you haven’t been I would recommend

Good food, service was a bit slow don't know if they were short staffed. Toilets need to be checked as all paper towels were over flowing from the bin and no loo roll in one of the loos. Cocktail also delish!

Food was cold, rice was hard and meat was chewy. The food arrived before the drinks arrived. The bill was expensive. The only positive was the drinks which were good.

Dead vibes, and the servers kept ignoring us even though we were sat right by till/bar. The food was great though and the drinks were pukka. I’d defo visit another location.

Whilst we enjoyed some lovely rum punch and some delicious food our overall experience was let down, by what we found to be very poor and impersonal service, poor leadership from the manager, luke warm dishes being served and dry cold plantain that was inedible to us. We really wanted to have a fun family Sunday lunch and travelled an hour to get to the restaurant. We were shown to a table by the back door in a corner and when we asked if we could sit someone else were just left to find somewhere ourselves. It then took a while for our waitress to come over and take orders. The restaurant does not offer any bread or other nibbles whilst waiting and we waited twenty minutes for our starters. The order was brought wrong and our child's main meal was brought at the same time although we had ordered him a starter. The wrong order was not rectified. We finally had our main meal an hour later - goat curry, tofu curry and jerk salmon, nothing that should have taken that long to prepare, particularly as the restaurant was not full and we were one of only two tables eating, others were enjoying the bottomless brunch drinks. When we raised the issues with the manager, he repeatedly said he apologised that we felt that way, but gave no indication he heard or understood what the problem was. When asked he said, the time we had waited was within the acceptable waiting time for a restaurant. So disappointing. We will not be returning or recommending this branch. I thought that there was a lack of care and love for the restaurant and customers.

Ordered jerk chicken which turned up cold - had to ask twice for this to be warmed up. Also ordered the fish platter, tilapia missing from the platter not informed when ordering - the fish platter appeared to have not been grilled - lacked flavour! Truely disppointed, I have regularly gone to Cottons for many years and the food service was a big let down.

As visited Shoreditch branch expected good things. However disappointed with starters- husband had spare ribs & i had saltfish fritters both luke warm. We shared the jerk platter. Good apart from the plantain not cooked enough. At no point did the waitress ask if our food was good. Best thing £10 off per meal. Sorry

Apart from the food being insanely delicious and the portions totally being worth the money, the staff are super friendly and you can have a good laugh with them.
Also, cannot rave enough about the cocktails. So delicious and you definitely taste the rum that’s for sure!!

Food was great, we went for a lot of the fish dishes which were very tasty.
Our evening was let down by the service which was a shame.
Most of the waiting staff looked miserable and left our table unattended most of the evening.
Never offered more drinks or a desert.
Menus were reused / torn paper ones, probably not the most hygienic.
Went onto somewhere else for cocktails...
