Casual
The inspiration for the fuss-free French food and the stylish interior comes from the traditional bistros of Paris. The emphasis is on simply, reasonably priced dishes and the menu includes familiar Gallic favourites like moules marinières, steak frites with skinny frites, duck confit and the Côte dessert speciality, crème caramel. Côte is ideal for a quick business lunch, mid-week dinners with friends, and pre-theatre meals. We guarantee you’ll come back time after time.

Greeted nicely and seated straight away (we had booked and that is essential).
Initial service was very good but slowed up as the restaurant got fuller.
Order for dessert got lost and had to be reordered.

Great menu and service as usual. We were in a smaller room and the noise level was objectionable.

As always, great value and choice and nice staff and a decent wine list

Noisy environment, OK at lunch but this is theatre land so everyone expects a buzz

We had a very pleasant meal having just been to the cinema. The food was excellent and so was the service. Would highly recommend

A quick evening meal with my son. Table was small and very close to the next table occupied by two loud women. Noise level was generally high and not helped by the music tape. Waiting staff were efficient and the order taken quickly. We didn't order a starter but an a la carte main of steak frite. The sirloin steaks were cooked to different preferences and arrived promptly. The steaks were described as corn fed and hung for 30 days but with no information on origin. They were tender but not very flavourful. With a glass of wine and a soft drink the bill was approx £55.00.
Overall a reasonably priced meal but nothing exceptional. Noise was the main problem

Member of staff approached us with a very rude tone and very defensive behaviour, even when she was wrong.

I was told off by a very rude member of staff that we have to finish our food in the next 30 mins. She said we have been informed about this before they took our order which was not true. Even people seating next us told her that no one informed us about the time limit. Then she claimed we didn't book in advance and we just walked in and that's why we must finish food and leave within 50 mins. Later she found out that we made a booking in advance and no waiter told us about the time limit. Two waiters who served us apologies to me, but ruined our dinner because of her behaviour. Imagine explaining yourself in a busy, packed restaurant and waiter keep telling you that you are wrong. It was an embarrassing situation and I felt that I have committed a crime or some fraud.
