The manager served as our initial waiter and took the correct orders, however the waitress who delivered our meals was quite unclear when she announced what dishes she was serving, therefore a chicken dish was delivered to the wrong people, and when we realised the manager was very defensive and not willing to understand our predicament so we had to pay for an extra meal.
Confusion reigned over the menu. Starters were not identified and of the "mains" also not identified as such, ( a choice of small, med and large) - the first two mains sizes were confused as entrees/starters. Consequently people ordered a small course(thinking it was a starter) and a large. All food arrived at the same time. The kitchen should have realised something was amiss.
Never disappointing. Great food, friendly service and a great venue.
Corte is set in a beautiful old building surrounded by a picturesque outdoor area. The staff are highly attentive and very pleasant. The menu options combination of bar tapas and some larger dishes, nothing we ordered was notable. The music was cruise ship circa 1998. There is potential to make this spot a great cafe with vibe, but this is currently lacking. Generally overpriced for mediocre food.
