Our go to place for Italian food or pizza. My 2nd favorite pizza in the UWS. Nice salads & consistent good food. The tables are close, but not too close. It’s a nice place for a good Italian meal. Their desserts are pretty good, too!
Excellent!! This was our 2nd time here and love it
It was a great experience and I will be back for more
As usual, Coppola's provided us with very good food and friendly, courteous and efficient service. Our favorite restaurant!
consistently the best in neighborhood.
would be better if had windows, but can't have everything, everything.
GREAT neighborhood restaurant. Friendly staff! Great food!
The entire dining experience was excellent. The food and service were delicious and attentive. If the bathrooms were in a better location or the martinis were a bit colder it would top 5 stars. Highly recommend.
Delicious food. Not as big as East but just as good. Definitely going back.
Asked for Linguine with garlic and oil with anchovies. They were perplexed. Wasn’t on menu. Seems like a basic Italian staple to me. I said the chef will know what I want. Most especially an Italian chef. The Latino waiter said the chef was not Italian and that I should tell him the ingredients. Really? Garlic and oil pasta? That’s like asking for the recipe for ice cubes. I ordered the ravioli. Not great. Over cooked. Marinara was very good though. Not a place to dine. In my opinion, an up scale eat-in pizzeria. Not what I thought we’d experience when made the reservation.
Food was spectacular. Homemade fusilli was as good as my grandmother ever made. Meatball appetizer was excellent. Great cozy atmosphere. Just what you would want on the west side. Great service
Table was ready when we arrived. Waiters were very attentive. Would recommend the homemade pastas and the stuffed chicken entree. (We will have to go back to try the others!)Portions and prices felt fair, especially for the UWS.
This restaurant is a hidden gem - coming here for many years when on the Upper West Side. It is a cozy ambiance, great food and service and best of all noise level is usually fairly low. On my last visit we were seated near a large group celebrating a birthday so they were boisterous but not intolerable. On all other occasions noise has not been an issue.
The waiter was friendly, the ambiance was great, but the food was horrible.
The food was delicious as always . The carbonara pasta is sooo good that I feel back in Italy .
We looked up the menu before deciding to go. Their website appears to have more items in it than the actual menu at the restaurant. When we got there we couldn’t find several of the items that we saw online, but were told it wasn’t a problem to make them. Portions are huge and the complimentary beginning bruschetta is a very nice touch. Would recommend if you are looking for good Italian.
We stumbled across this restaurant one day and realize why it’s a neighborhood favorite. The food is delicious, it’s cozy and welcoming and we’ve never had a bad time.
Perhaps we visited on a day when staff was short. The excellent ratings of Coppola's West prompted us to give it a try for a weekday lunch. Although the food was very good. the service was slow. It seemed that a number of tables -- in addition to ours -- experienced lengthy waits and lacked staff's attentive eye.
I really enjoyed Italian food
food is always great,,love the staff,,interesting guests!
the best neighborhood restaurant for 25 years. consistently great service, food, value. manager top of the line. ambiance not great, but regardless, well worth a visit.
Not only would recommend but have many times. I received a gift certificate from my daughter some four years ago. I took my girlfriend there to celebrate our anniversary and we have celebrated it at Coppola's ever since.
excellent EXCEPT the busboy took our silverware as we gave our credit cards to the waiter and when our credit card receipts were returned, took our napkins and washed the table as we put our receipts away. There was only one group of 3 which could have been waiting for our table - Coppola's just lost the 3 of us as future customers.
The 2 of us were at Coppola’s West for a 6pm dinner on Mother’s Day. Even on a holiday, the food and service were both superb! I had the Capellini Coppola—jumbo shrimp, arugula and radicchio tossed with a light fresh tomato and white wine sauce over angel hair pasta. He had the Fusilli with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. Both were perfect. We shared Grandma’s Cheesecake for dessert. We left very full, but very happy!
This is my second time at this restaurant. The first visit was good so we wanted to try the pizza which is recommended. I was unimpressed with the pizza. However we also tried the branzino which was very good.
Whenever we're on the upper west side during the dinner hour, we try to eat at Coppola's.
maybe the loudest Saturday night dinner ever
We’ve been to Coppola many times. Great food, great service and lovely overall venue.
We enjoyed a special dinner with my two granddaughters and the food, service and ambiance couldn’t have been better.
Amazing food, great service. Love this restaurant!
My 2 friends both had the eggplant parm and were raving about it - except for it coming with mashed potatoes. I had the flash fried calamari, which were good, as well as the pizzette which was also good. The place is always full but the kitchen retains its standards. A neighborhood gem is the apt description.
Delicious old world Naples food. Appetizer of baked claims and shrimp in lemon was excellent. The main dish of fresh crusted crab meat on branzino was mouthwatering.
The ambiance of this restaurant is attractive in an old fashioned way; the walls are of red brick; it is somewhat dark and cozy. The quality of the food is mixed. My salad was excellent but, the seafood pasta, while more than ample, was too oily, not particularly well prepared and much too expensive. It's best not to go during peak times as it becomes very noisy. All in all, my opinion of Coppola's West is mixed.
Premium service, outstanding food, supreme, warm and comfortable environment
Visitor to NYC.
Really good food, reasonable price, Fast service. Good for a relatively low key but delicious meal, loved it!
Great food, excellent service, and amazing homemade pasta.
Perfect neighborhood stop for Italian American comfort food.
Delicious food in old Italian atmosh
I absolutely love the servers there. Food is amazing and can't beat the short commute.
Delicious salads and pasta.
Would definitely eat here again
