   This is a beautiful setting in the Yarra Valley, the dining is modern and light filled. We enjoyed our afternoon tea, particularly the scones with the raspberry and peach jam.

   Beautiful restaurant that had stunning walking grounds around the area. Great food, reasonably priced for a 2 course meal. Generous portions and beautiful presentation. Interior of the restaurant was so beautiful as well!

   We arrived and were greeted at the counter with a friendly smile and welcome. After being shown to our table we had the 3 course option. The complimentary bubbly was refreshing and a great way to get the taste buds going. The staff were very friendly, well dressed and helpful. You were not kept waiting. The potato and leek soup was creamy, hot and delicious after being poured directly into our bowl. I opted for the beef which was melt in your mouth and my wife for the pork belly which was also very tender. The potato medallions presented in a block were smooth and tasty and the side of greens plentiful and crunchy with a variety of flavours. We finished the meal with the 3 cheese platter accompanied by a vine of grapes. We opted for the Coombe Pinot Gris which was crisp and a perfect accompaniment for our meal choices. Well done Coome. We will definitely come again.

   Ridiculous waiting time for meals. Took 40 minutes just for the desert… One main and one desert course took totally 3 hours to finish because of the waiting time…

   We are sorry that your dining experience was not up to standard. We have looked at our records and can see that you received three courses in two hours and twenty minutes, which is longer than our usual two hour sitting, and we do apologise for that delay. We try our utmost to deliver meals in a timely manner with everything prepared to order, though delays can arise due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope you will consider Coombe again for a more efficient dining experience.

   While the food was excellent and cooked beautifully there was very little of it and having to pay extra for vegetables (apart for the little provided with the meal) at the prices paid is a bit insulting. It is highly unlikely that we would be returning.

    Happily found myself at Coombe twice in a short time and was delicious and an excellent experience on each occasion. Overseas guests this time and such a pleasant lunch and delightful venue and they were thrilled to have ‘ discovered’ Coombe.

    Have dined at Coombe on a number of occasions. Food presentation and taste are usually very good. However, table service a little muddled this time, staff were not sure of table allocations as we had ordered then another staff member came to hand us menus and another tried to give us dessert’s. Wrong glasses were provided for red . Perhaps those training staff need to clarify what tables they are serving. Attention to detail for service was not there this time. However, will return.

    Our waiter (Maglina ?? ) was delightful & outstanding and other staff quick and unobtrusive. Ambience was great. Jeremy in the cellar door, where we ventured for a couple of hours after our lunch, was helpful and good fun. We will be back

    We enjoyed a lovely high tea with my 85 year old mother. Access with her walker was easy and we all appreciated the fresh and tasty offerings on our 3-tied platter, the sparkling wine and the beautifully brewed teas which were served. The noise level with all of the hard surfaces in the room was a little loud upon arrival (mum is hard of hearing) but, as the lunch crowd disappeared, the ambience became more calm and pleasant. The views across the gardens were delightful. The service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble, and mum's dietary requirements were treated with considered respect. We'll definitely be coming back again.

    Staff were friendly, atmosphere was rustic but beautiful, the food was lovely, staff accommodated additional food ordering requests and they consistently topped up our drinks! Would definitely visit again!

    Delicious meal in a most delightful setting. Beautiful avenue of golden leafed trees outside and an excellent lunch to celebrate a birthday. First visit post Covid and did not disappoint. Look forward to our next visit.

    The poor staff were run off their feet which mean we had to wait a really long time for our food, even for someone to take our drink order. The entree had liver in it, which wasn’t specified on the menu, perhaps something to include on the description as it’s something that a few wouldn’t eat. When a new one (sans liver) was brought out it was great but had a big piece of gristle in it. The main and dessert however was incredible. The wine, spectacular. And the atmosphere beautiful. We would definitely return.

    We booked the house tour and three course lunch. A friend was visiting from South Africa and we thought it would make an enjoyable day trip. Even though the weather was chilly and umbrella's required for the tour, we were glad we had booked the tour and even had a short walk around the garden. The lunch from service to the superb food and wine was without fault. And the dining room is so pleasant with views looking out to the garden. We all had a wonderful day, thank you!

    Beautiful High Tea! Free flowing wine, delicious scones, freshly made sandwiches, and the most lovely sweet treats. We had such a lovely afternoon. Staff were all incredibly professional and made the afternoon feel that little bit extra special. Can’t wait to visit again.
