Inventive and delicious flavor combinations and unique wine selections. Definitely worth exploring the varied menu choices featuring fresh market finds. Portions are generous and staff is knowledgeable. Colorful serving plates by craft artists.
Had a great experience! Waitress was wonderful and attentive. She recommended 3 or 4 plates to share for us 2. We did 4. The hummus was great, the mushroom appetizer was amazing. The trout was very interesting and good but could use a little lemon imo. The steak with the yogurt was fabulous!! And the treasure box for dessert was great! They also have conversation starter cards that was a fun touch.
The food is fantastic. If there is a private party, it get's VERY loud. Overall a go to place! Get the baked beans and quail <3
Conversation was an interesting restaurant for wondering palates. Every dish had unexpected flavors and was presented in a very artsy way. The London fog desert was full of flavor. 10/10 recommend.
Overall great experience. Our water glass was always kept full(not an easy task). Meals were tasty, unique, and food for the eye.
It ain’t cheap, but it’s literally the best food I’ve ever had in my life—every dish. They could do more with the whole conversation thing too, but who cares. Delicious food and friendly service.
Fantastic everything. Veggies, meats, fish, beverages and dessert. Arguably one of Seattle’s best!
The trout was excellent unfortunately the pastry chef was on vacation so some items were not available. The hummus and beets came in deep bowls that made it hard to share without serving utensils
Food was pretty terrible and quite expensive... oysters were nauseating bc there were dipping dots in them.
Excellent! Our waitress, Julia was fantastic and she makes an excellent latte!
Conversation has a beautiful modern space exemplified by the soaring ceilings and windows facing the Seattle waterfront. A fireplace in the corner gives warmth to the contemporary interior. The staff were very pleasant and had great suggestions. The plating and presentation of the dishes is impeccable-- we were especially wowed by the desserts such as the London Fog. The only downside is the "good" food service rating on the door which is one of the lowest possible which is definitely a concern.
Rooftop bar has great views of the wheel and the water. The Restaurant had a different take on food that was clever & delicious. The ambience is modern, rich, and dark. The food is a bit pricey. Service was great
We went for early lunch so hard to rate ambiance and noise. Great menu and bar looks cool
On a layover in Seattle, lookin for a good place for cocktails and food!
I was impressed steak and pisco was amazing!
Bartenders are very knowledgeable and amazing mixologist!
Everything about Reservation went beyond expectations.
Sorry, wasn’t impressed. We picked this restaurant after reading a best of list for brunch on Seattle Eater. Seemed more like a regular hotel breakfast and nothing fancy. We walked by the restaurant in our hotel, Lola, on our way there and everything people had ordered looked delicious. Next time in town I guess.
We had a wonderful time. Will definitely plan on dining there again.
Great, inventive, delicious food. Friendly, warm staff and the other patrons at nearby were all engaging with our table as well.
Interesting concept and interesting plating, but the food was either not great or just okay (and not worth the price in any case). Courses took forever to arrive, and the restaurant was out of the dessert we ordered despite there only being a handful of tables eating at the restaurant that night.
Too loud....they had a very loud party in the back and the girl attending had very bad manners. The waiter was good and said everything was to be shared yet not enough food on plates to share...raise the prices and increase portions I feel...not a lot bigger but it was kind of silly. The desserts were beautiful but lacked flavor. Loved the water container, loved the wine glasses loved the serving dishes and plates.
Great cocktail selection. Especially loved the double Brooklyn. Very friendly and helpful service that guided us through the menu choices for our first visit. Recommended dishes were delicious. Only complaint was that the music was a little loud. Made conversation a little harder 😀
The food was very good and well prepared!!
We celebrated my birthday dinner here and omg we enjoyed it very much! Our waitress recommended to order tapas style: red lentil hummus, foie crumble, flat iron steak, seared scallops, and oven roasted rockfish. Everything was sooo delicious! My favorites were the rockfish and foie crumble. Let me tell you, I do NOT like foie gras, but this was amazing! For desserts, we wanted to try the London fog and the garden- both for social media purposes and for memories. The garden was a bit disappointing, a little too tart for my taste, but we enjoyed the London fog soo much! Will definitely come back. The staff here was very friendly and kind, gave awesome suggestions, and I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. Oh, we also got a bottle of cabernet sauvignon (Holden). Easy to drink!
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Better than expected. Highly recommend.
Excellent service and food!
The menu is designed for sharing so you can try a lot of things. The foraged mushrooms were delicious as was the local greens salad. Then we had the hangar steak which was cooked perfectly but slightly cold when it got to the table. The rabbit came next which again was perfectly prepared but I didn’t try it, my wife said it was very good. We had the Green House for desert which was beautiful but wasn’t my thing. It had a grassy herbal taste that didn’t agree with me. My wife loved it. Lively place good food.
Food was underwhelming and some dishes straight up gross. Very pretentious without anything to back it up with
Pleasantly surprised by the food and presentation of the plates. I had a wonderful cocktail that was outstanding! I do not remember the nam but it was a bourbon drink, with lemon, sea salt, and toasted tea leaves. It was excellent! The food we ordered was delicious and beautifully plated. Excellent service in timing all the dishes. It was a wonderful find and when we return to Seattle we will have dinner again at this place.
Great wait staff, chef was fantastic, food fabulous. We highly recommend
What we loved about the food at Conversation was that each dish had an unexpected element to it. Without being pretentious or precious, the recipes were a new take on favorite food. Friendly, helpful staff, and an atmosphere that encourages interaction with other guests made for a most excellent experience.
Everything is great, rockfish is amazing! But the dessert is awful... macaroons taste like bought in grocery store... and the garden cake is taste very weird... the only thing we can eat is the top of the ice cream for the London fog.
Modern and chic ambiance. Food was beautifully presented, food was ok. But overall, great dining experience.
They were out of the wine we ordered and the salad we ordered. The main dish was prepared differently than the menu described so we had to order an additional dish since one of us wasn’t able to eat the first main course as prepared. The Jasmine cocktail was excellent. The salad was good. The trout was over cooked and sauces far too rich to eat very much. Overall unimpressed.
Larger fish choices seem to be be best value at this place. Rockfish with creamed brussel sprouts and chickpeas that remind you of corn nuts. and white fish were great. Trout was great until the Mayo and buttered potatoes ruined the flavor. May go back
Very limited menu, much of which didn't make sense. Website said PACNW inspired, yet menu included trout. All items were garnished the same. Service was okay, but order to execution lacked details.
Family from out of town visiting/birthday
Great restaurant with simple menu for brunch and plenty of sides to put together your own brunch or order from the menu. I love brunch but don’t like eggs (yeah weird) so most of the brunch combos don’t work for me and hence I like places that offer a bunch of small sides. The sausages were great and so was the coffee. For toast, they bring out condiments (jams, mustard, ketchup) in individual small bottles which I love.
Overall, great experience with the service to and it’s definitely one of my top brunch places to revisit.
$15 for a salmon bagel – HALF a bagel with a little smoked salmon spread. Not great value. Restaurant was very empty around prime Saturday brunch/lunch time (1PM), yet service was not super attentive.
The best breakfast I’ve had in soooo long:)
This is a perfect place to have dessert first. Get the Chef's Treasure Box. Trust me about this. Do it.
Although the Porchetta was a bit smaller a portion than I expected, it was delicious and beautifully presented. Expect some strange flavors along with it but they are thoroughly enjoyable surprises.
Great wine list as well. I plan to return soon and try other items. Well worth a stop.
