Conrad’s Seafood Restaurant Abingdon

Our server was great and so was the young man who walked around greeting the guests (I assume he was the manager). The food was good as were the crabs. We were there early so the atmosphere was pretty quiet with a steady stream of customers. The only thing I would suggest is to train the staff at the reception area. When we left, there were 3 or 4 staff at the reception area and none of them said thank you, have a good day...nothing.

Calamari was hot and crisp and came with 2 sauces. Maryland crab soup chunky with fresh vegetables and a spicy broth. Conrad salad was fresh and large portion. Iced tea was filled regularly by our server. I'm glad we sat in the corner because it was a little loud and we were there for the seafood not to look at all the TVs.

Server was extremely friendly. Food was very good. We were hoping for steamed crabs which they didn’t have. However, the website did advise to call ahead about steamed crabs before coming. I didn’t so I don’t hold that against them but would advise you to call if that is what you are going for.

Enjoyed our early Valentine's dinner at Conrad's. Great atmosphere and felt very COVID-safe. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and the portions were large (we took leftovers home). We will definitely be back!

Service was excellence. Food was very sub-par. Rockfish bites were tasteless. Crab cake was mushy. Salmon good. Disappointing dining experience.

Great surprise. The food and service was far beyond my expectations. I rarely like to celebrate my special occasions in a casual restaurant. But the presentation of the food, the quality and freshness was that of a 5 star upscale restaurant. Our server, Zach was the final piece of making last night’s dinner absolutely amazing. We didn’t want to leave he was so personable!

Food is good, but pricey. Service is excellent.

Everything was great. Only issue was it was a little busy and we had to ask for drinks more thank once, but the other bartender heard and got it straightened out. All 3 of the dishes that came out with broccolini had to be sent back due to the broccoli being ice cold the other parts of the dish were hot so it was obvious that the broccolini had been sitting there a minute. I had to find someone to take this back. This was taken care of and brought back out. This would not prevent us from returning just something to be aware of since due to us waiting we could not enjoy this with our food.

If you’re looking for great crab cakes this is where to come! We’re picky and serious about our crab cakes and these never disappoint. Steaks are fantastic. We’ve ordered off of the specials menu before and it’s amazing. Salads and sides are fresh and seasonal! Service is always outstanding never have had a bad experience.

Excellent food and service. It was our first time dining here and everything from the hostess' greeting and seating us, to the waitress introducing herself and with fresh popcorn to the dessert was so fabulous! We will definitely come again and again.

Our server, Zach was so nice & had great menu suggestions. The restaurant was very clean and tables spread apart for social distance eating.

We went to Conrad’s for crabs on a Sunday evening, I can honestly say I was very disappointed. EXTREMELY small crabs and we ordered LARGE! When we complained the manager came out with a measuring tape to measure our crabs and a few did not come out to be large crabs. I will not return because the customer service level was unacceptable.

We were hesitant to eat at this location again, due to dissatisfaction with our last meal there. I became very sick, but we tried again because my husband wanted raw oysters and our dinner was very nice

Conrad’s is a fantastic place to eat. They have great staff and excellent fresh seafood. They’re fairly priced and have several locations around Baltimore. Captain Conrad is great as well.

Food is innovative and excellent. Some really special entrees on the menu, presentation is fantastic. Had the texas rubbed tuna cooked rare, served with wilted spinach and root vegetable hash with chorizo. Who else is putting this on the menu?? Wife had the salmon wellington with creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. Excellent dish and presentation. I can't complement the food enough. Always a great meal. Prices are reasonable.

We made a reservation for 6:30 pm for the outdoor dinning and It was confirmed, but when we got there we were told it’s first available table and hostess could not tell us how long we would need to wait. We left and went to another restaurant close by.

Conrads has definitely has their business interrupted by the COVID crisis, as traffic on a Monday night was light, even for Trivia night. We used to pre-COVID and the crowd was better, but... One of the reasons for light traffic is some of the menu items are a little pricey for a pub atmosphere. It's hard to pay over $25 for a menu item in a bar. There are many fine-dining choices in the area that are more competitive. More choices of appetizers would help...

Another suggestion would be to do an all-you-can-eat crab special in-season. They do have a crab feast for 2 on the menu, but a dozen small crabs for 2 people is hardly a feast for $40, especially in September/October when live crabs are selling for $10/dozen on the street. All in all, they have good food, decent service. Just need to fine-tune the menu and ad some ambiance.

Server was non attentive. After he took the initial drink order, he did not return for 15 min to take dinner order. He did not return to the table while we were eating. My wife flagged him down for the check. It took him another 10 min to bring the check to the table. He left after dropping it off and did not return for 10 more minutes. He did take credit card and returned immediately with the receipt to sign. He never checked to see if we needed refills or additional items. The restaurant was not very busy. The server would disappear into the kitchen, wait station or the seating behind the bar for long periods of time. The food was very good and the atmosphere is what we expected. Shame the server did not have the ability to perform his job adequately. We are frequent dinners of Conrad's, but we may think twice about returning anytime soon.

Make sure you make reservations on weekend nights as they are very crowded. The food was very good and had some items I haven't seen on a menu in quite a while. If you are a Marylander you will find Fried Hard Crab and Crab Fluffs on the the menu. The portions were decent size. I enjoyed the Fried Hard Crab and my husband had the crab fluffs. One of our friends got the Jambalaya and one had the Fish and Chips. He said the batter on the Fish was a bit heavy but he enjoyed it. The service was very good and we were not rushed. We will go back again.

Conrad's is okay. There are other restaurants in the Bel Air area that are less expensive with better food. We will probably not go back again. This is not a horrible restaurant by any means. It's just that there are much better for less money. The waitstaff was pleasant. The food was okay. It was a bit pricey. If you want to go to a restaurant that is okay and in the Abingdon area (rather than Bel Air) then try Conrad's. I will say that by the time we were leaving--around 8 pm, there was an abundance of open tables. The bar never got fully seated. We were there for dinner on a Friday at 6:30 pm. The good thing about Conrad's is that you can get a seat without much of a wait which is very unusual for a Friday night in this area.

We are regulars at Conrad's and probably on average eat there once a month with our family. My 2 year old loves the popcorn and playground. There is enough of a variety on the menu so that my older 2 teenage boys and my husband and myself can find something we all enjoy eating. However, the food was not as great compared to our previous outings. The chicken tenders for my 2 year old looked like they were sitting under the warming lights for some time. The fries that came with his dinner and my brother's looked like the leftovers from the day but we were eating at prime dinner time around 6:30pm. The prosecco in my drink was flat but I was given another drink after I indicated it was flat. The drink itself was not as good as it was on our last occasion. Not sure if there were different cooks but it was not our best dinner at Conrad's that night.

VISITED THE RESTAURANT ON BELAIR RD AND WASN'T VERY IMPRESSED.
THE WAITESS WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD WAS ABOVE EXPECTATIONS.
WOULD DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS.

The food was delicious and the service was very efficient. Great place to hang out with friends.

When we walked in the door we were greeted by the host. I told her that we have an appointment for 2 via open table at 7pm. She immediately corrected me and said “no you have a reservation at 7p” the. Asked for my name. She walked us to the table. As she was laying the menus I asked could we get a booth instead because they were larger and 2 were unoccupied. She immediately cut me off and said, “no, they’re unavailable. They have been prereserved all day”. I digressed. We sat at the table. No one sat at the booth the entire time. I also ordered the “Steak and cake”. I ordered the steak medium well, but it was very well done. The rest of my meal was ok. I took it to go.
