Comptoir Libanais - Poland Street
Very good food and ambiance
I love eating at Le Comptoir, but this was a serious off night. We sat for around 15 minutes, looking at our plates waiting on the counter to be brought over to us. The food was cold - lukewarm at best - when it arrived. My spinach pastry dish had dried out. It took us ages to get any attention when we wanted to order more bread, get the bill etc. Not a good experience, and it wasn't busy when we first arrived either. Please don't deteriorate, Le Comptoir - I'd really like to come back! I won't return to the Poland Street branch though - this experience scarred me enough.
Popped in for light supper after evening at Soho Theatre. Lovely welcome, great food and service. It’s a lovely sized Comptoir - cosy but not too close to other diners, big windows looking out to Poland Street so good for people watching. Very friendly manager and other staff. Fully recommend.
Fab food. Fun decor. Great place for a family and friends gathering with overseas loved ones
Good food and wine, friendly and efficient service, nice spot for a pleasant evening catch up with my friend. Recommended!
Nice location, good value for the Feast Menu. Good service.
Great service and food but noise levels bit too much if you want a conversation.
Great food. Speedy service and nice staff. Definitely go again
Lovely food, did not wait long for drink and food. Had some nice welcoming waiters too!
Wonderful place, food amazing
My friend and I shared the mezze platter. It was tasty and the perfect size for 2 or 3 to share. Good value too.
Zeer aangenaam. Lekkere cocktails
The meal was very good but not enough warm! Thanks
Nice food, nice vibe and decor, reasonable price
Overall we had a lovely experience. The food as usual was gorgeous. The only slight let down was the table we were given (you couldn't get out to go to the loo without nearly knocking your neighbours drink over) but this was due to how busy it was. This also meant service was rather slow - it took a long time to order and our drinks took a while to arrive. Again, this was all due to the fact the restaurant was so busy as it was Friday night. Would recommend!
Fun IT night out. Food lovely. Service great. Nice to go somewhere in London where you don’t get robbed.
Everytime we go there just for the shish taouk and it was very dissapointing this time. very difficult to cut the pieces not tender at all and my shish taouk wrap did not have a nice taste - not recommended. Im hoping it was a one off bad experience as its generally good but not value for money
Good food, but it did used to be better and more "flavour-ful". Chicken was somewhat bland.
The staff made our visit special and the food was delicious
We were 8 people and had a very good meal. The manager was very friendly and the waiters served us excellently.
This place was okey to eat a fast dinner in. Nothing special.
Very good food and the staff were friendly. Will visit again.
nice food and service. the waitress was were friendly and took very good care of us. the only issue of note to raise was the music - too loud!
A lot of improvement has to be made in client service.
We had to ask the waitress to order drinks and dinner. Otherwise, they will not come.
The place is very noice and smelly
Excellent meal. Service also excellent. Highly recommend.
food was decent but service really bad.
They keep the door open and in the dining room is quite cold.
Definitely I would not recommend it.
This chain never disappoints. It has fantastic flavourful fresh food and really efficient service. I went with a vegetarian friend and the selection was really tasty for us both to enjoy.
Food was amazing and delicious. However, we had to wait ages for a waiter/waitress to approach us and at the end I had to call them. Also at the end we received bill and same situation happened - we had to wait ages to pay and I came to the counter and asked if we can pay. The service shouldn't be included in the bill because no one was interested of taking orders and payments from us. The chef cooks amazing food, waiteres need improvement.
Really lovely place to have lunch. Laid back and chilled, right level of background music. Our waitress was really lovely but could perhaps do with some more trainings she was very slow to come take our orders but who looked to be the manager was amazing and so friendly.
Great local Soho eatery.....tasty vegetarian Aubergine Tagine.....nicely chilled glasses for beer
Rose tea...delicious.....great service and friendly atmosphere.....music a little loud but okay
Few tables outside which was good....quiet side street.....overall a very good experience
Lovely lively restaurant with great fresh tasty Libanese food and very friendly staff.
Amazing food! So fresh and so tasty! Service excellent.
The only suggestion we would have is to add mood lighting and add music for a better atmosphere. We will be back
Food was delicious, with great options for the vegetarian members of our party, surroundings were lovely and servers were very competent and friendly, but unfortunately the service was very slow and it did take a long time for us to order and our food to come. Luckily we weren't in a hurry and I would definitely eat here again just because the food was so lovely
A good chain of restaurants, all with interesting decor and efficient service. I have tried four branches and this one is no exception. Set off Oxford street in a relatively quiet road.
Lovely food, which I enjoy for the different flavours and generous portions. It is not overpriced.
Do have the chicken wings, they are delicious.
That food was really good and great choice of Lebanese foods on the menu. We were welcomed and seated, the service at this point was very good but after we had finished eating our main course no one came to clear the plates or ask us if we wanted desserts/coffee etc. So what begun very well petered out once we had our main courses delivered. They weren’t busy so there was no excuse for such poor service towards the end of our meal when we needed to go to get to the theatre on time. So I recommend for he food but not wholly for the service!
The food was good, the waiters very helpful and caring, the ambiance was perfect, the music had the perfect volume but the tagine was just a bit dry so it was not super super amazing but it was still good. The starter for two was exquisite, the chicken was so tender, I still dream about aha. We will definitely come back. A bit expensive but totally worth it.
Good food and excellent friendly service. Reasonably priced.
Really great food, good price and variety. Would go again
Loved the mezze platter to share, it’s ideal with a group of friends. I had the tagine aubergine quinoa, very nice. Happy hour until 7pm too!
The food was delicious and authentic, will good portion sizes. The variety of options on the menu was great, including drinks and food. Really impressive meal!
