I am vegetarian and in the buffet there was no option for me. Chef cooked for me 4/5 items later. It took 30 minutes to get me starters also. And food was not at all tasty. It completely shuttered my expectations about collins kitchen. I would never recommend collins kitchen to anyone. I was highly disappointed. And while booking my table i had clearly wrote to provide vegetarian options but still my request was undermined.Desserts were good and i just had them at the end.

Staff were welcoming and attentive for afternoon tea. The table was set with pretty cups and saucers at a quiet, private space next to the window. We enjoyed a wide choice of great food presented on the 3-tiered stand, at the hot savoury buffet and at the enticing dessert buffet.

Lovely ambiance with fantastic service and attention to detail. All the food was delicious with a wide selection of savory and sweet foods to 'graze' on after the initial high tea table offering. We opted for the free flowing sparkling wine option and our glasses never had a chance to be empty. All the staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was a problem. We are looking forward to our next High Tea at Collins Kitchen. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon experience.

I really like the Collins Kitchen environment and enjoyed my dinner there but the service could be improved. The waitress was lovely but seems inexperienced. The entrees we had - gyoza and karaage - was great. I had the pork belly ramen and was a bit disappointed by the pork belly. It was a bit flavourless and it was presented in big chunks and very hard to cut in a bowl. You’d think they would have cut the pork belly in smaller bite size pieces. The beef ramen was tastier, i’m told.

The food was absolutely amazing! The beef brisket ramen and smoked cauliflower were incredible! Great service, great ambiance in the booths near the window, perfect date night experience. Would highly recommend!

We ordered the roasted cauliflower, beef brisket ramen and the scotch fillet steak, we're disappointed that all were a bit too bland for our taste.

Service was, and the prices were too expensive. There are restaurants that offer similar dishes at a cheaper price and with a lot more flavor.

I think it is better for Burn City Smokers to stick to barbecues and just concentrate on that. They can explore BBQ/smoking techniques and dishes from around the world and have that as their theme.

My 3rd visit and the most disappointing. The standrad of food was well below par as was the selection - it felt like we had come in for left overs and a few knocked together sandwiches. The tiered offer was beyond disappointing the selection so poor i am astounded this was the grand hyatt. The service was poor and slow we opted for free flowing i think the flowing went into the slowest pace even from 4.45 until 5.30 we were ignored and the waitress that was attentive in the first 45 min vanished

We could not have chosen a better venue to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything was beyond our expectations. The staff were fabulous, wonderful service and the food was out of this world. We are already planning a high tea for my sister's 60th birthday in July. Thank you to all concerned for making our special day so memorable 🙂

A 5 star restaurant befitting a first class hotel. The rib eye was a quality steak cooked perfectly, the way we requested. The lamb rump was as tender and tasteful as I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. The roasted eggplant was an unexpected delight. The sides were wonderful complements to the mains. And the hero of the meal: any chef that can make brussel sprouts the star in this constellation of fine food is a magician! The service is attentive and unpretentious.

We were 6 of us for my mother’s bday. The service is very polite. However, Food waiting time was long and basic serving cutlery wasn’t provided until we had to ask twice. Other than that the food and dietary requirements were largely met.

Food on offer was different to the menu shown on the website which was disappointing. The service for a venue of such caliber was incredibly disappointing. It took half an hour for us to receive any service to get another drink.

A bit difficult to find among the maze of restaurants inside the hotel - and interestingly the name wasn’t anywhere visible around the restaurant - staff warm and friendly, wouldn’t mind accommodating any extra request - ordered the veal osso buco - extremely tender, marinated well, though without the bone marrow spoon left clients to doubt if they were meant to consume the marrow or not, but the meat was really melting - even the tendinous parts yielded immediately to the cut. The bed of mashed potatoes it rested on somewhat lacked originality but was of course a safe choice. Portions very generous. Unfortunately didn’t find the desserts too tempting so just ended with a coffee. $48 without service charge - not bad at all

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my meal at Collins Kitchen. I ordered the pan fried Barramundi which was quite dry and was not served with a sauce of any kind. It was very expensive at $50. My husband and I had booked the restaurant not knowing that Ladros had "checked in". We had booked many weeks ago and were staying at the Hyatt for our 22nd wedding anniversary and were hoping for a very special night out. It just wasn't to be.

After arriving about 40mins late due to the Melbourne Marathon, we were told we had plenty of time to eat and enjoy as it was my birthday celebration. About 1hr later we were told the buffet was ending (also the dessert bar). The variety of food wasn't as good as it usually was as it didn't have a variety of vegetables. It was mainly meat. The variety was extremely disappointing as it was my birthday and I was so looking forward to it. $205 for 1 hour was a bit rich for what we got.

Wonderful high tea at the grand Hyatt. We try to high tea monthly and this was by far our favourite.
The service was impeccable. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Perfection for a special occasion.

Pork ribs were spicy, tender and delish, non of this over sweet sticky trash that gets trucked out as bbq here in auz. Peas and ham broth was superb! Loaded fries also a winner.

For a pop-up restaurant that specializes in meat, it was incredibly disappointing. Meat tasted pre-cooked and reheated. Pork belly dry and rubbery, steak was sent back because it arrived at the table well done instead of medium rare. We also ordered cocktails, but one arrived in a cracked glass. Beautiful restaurant, lovely ambience,shame about the rest.
