Coda Di Volpe
First time in Chicago. Booked Coda Di Volpe on a whim, based on the reviews. What an awesome decision it was! The service was absolutely outstanding and if possible, the food, beyond that. We had the arancini (probably the best I've ever had in...ever!), the Caesar salad, the Margherita/Di Bufala pizza and, the wood-grilled octopus. My palate is still reveling from the latter! If perfection had a face, it would be this octopus'! The wines and spritzes were definitely on par with the food. All in all, a GREAT eatery with a nice, quiet patio and extremely good service.
Leah was a great server, very friendly and knowledgeable. The pizza was great, wine was good and really appreciated getting a booth on a busy night for a date.
Great restaurant in the heart of Lakeview. The restaurant has fun outdoor sitting and great bar. Good Italian wine list. The pizzas are perfect size. I had the ink spicy pasta and It was delicious. Portions are just perfect size. Restaurant is definitely trendy and pretty. Not so far for Wrigleyfield.
Great wine, great food, awesome ambiance! Friendly staff
A great birthday gift.
Like every time we go to coda Di Volpe the food was excellent. There were a couple hiccups with the service, however they were immediately addressed, corrected, and very apologetic. All restaurants to take it notes from Howe coda Di Volpe handled the situation. I
Great evening and food
Always a treat
Fantastic food and service! We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu!
Great food and service
A great neighborhood restaurant to eat with friends, couples, and to celebrate a special occasion. Great service and their pizza is wonderful!
Really loved this place! Went here for my birthday and the food was fantastic, the setting was great, service was awesome, we really enjoyed the food and the experience overall. Cannot wait to come back!
We had a lovely meal here. My favorite part. was the signature cocktail (sorry, name escapes me), but it has vodka, gin, citrus and a sprig of rosemary . Delicious!
Appetizer was the cheese plate and entrees were a mushroom and prosciutto pizza and peach and buratta salad. Really good!
Great food and service!
DELICIOUS ~ DELICIOUS ~ DELICIOUS !!! WE FELT SO WELCOME BY THE VOLPE STAFF ~
HAPPY ~SMILING FACES ~ WE WISH YOU WERE CLOSER TO LAKE FOREST ~ BUT WE DO MAKE PLANS TO SHARE A MEAL WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT CODA DI VOLPE !! THANK YOU !
We celebrated a family birthday party with 6 plus a toddler. We had a great dinner of starters, pizzas, pastas, and desserts. The food was all spectacular. It is our favorite pizza in Chicago! The pasta dishes were authentically representative of their origins. The gelatos were spectacular with great creativity, richness, and flavor.
All that being said, the highlight to the dinner was the service led by Jaxson. She is one of the top service professionals we experience in Chicago. Bravo!
I’m obsessed with this place. The only thing I wish they would pace a bit more is the clearing of the plates and refilling water. It feels like they’re constantly trying to refill water even if the glass isn’t empty. Other than that, this place has NEVER disappointed with the food/drinks.
First time here, but we were impressed. The food was very good and they did a great job of accommodating us when friends showed up unexpectedly and we didn’t give up the table. High marks
Service was amazing and the food was superb. I had a great time and would def come again. Great place for dates or a relaxed night out with friends
Really fun. Staff was great to work with from scheduling a birthday celebration to numerous questions before dining to actual service.
Food was good, but setting was terrible. Screaming and crying children and no attempt was made to move us or them away. We were having a celebration dinner but we cut it short just to get out of there as quick as possible.
Great tasting pizza with great tasting choices. Good drinks, nice staff and very close to brown line.
Just love this restaurant. A great menu that has some wonderful dishes. Outdoor seating is wonderful. I’ve recommended Coda to many people.
First time dining here and what a great experience. We dined outdoors in a lovely setting. Our server was excellent and the food was outstanding. Will definitely return
Love our neighborhood spot, always our go-to - great owner Billy Lawless greets everyone and makes you feel special and appreciated. Love the food, amazing pizza and diavolo chicken. Plus watermelon and sour cherry sorbets
As always, Coda was terrific. The ricotta bruscetta was novel and outstanding, as was the peach and heirloom tomato salad. The grilled octopus appetizer and the pasta chitarra were both excellent. The service is attentive but not intrusive and the ambience is friendly and vivacious. Coda Di Volpe is part of our standard rota.
Always a great evening. Everyone working there is wonderful and the pizza is always on point.
The food was amazing- great wine selection too!
always a wonderful time at coda di volpe! food, beverage & service are all top notch, expect nothing but the best here and enjoy one of their summer spritz!
Solid restaurant that never disappoints.
Excellent service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Our pizza was a bit too soggy to our liking though. I don't regret trying Coda Di Volpe but I would not go back again.
The experience was great, but the service was by far the best part of our meal! We were looked after by what felt like 7 members of the staff. I never wanted for anything! They were very patient and went at our pace! Awesome job!
Great atmosphere for a drink at the bar and dinner outside on the patio!
this is my favorite restaurant. We always have an excellent time. Appetizers, cocktails, pasta, etc. -- all delicious. Love brunch on the weekends! Keep doing whatever it is you're doing!
Amazing place with delicious food and a professional staff. We highly recommend.
We were seated immediately. It was not busy inside. Took a while before I think the front of house manager came over to ask about drinks. Waitress came about 5m later and asked again. Got drinks after about 15m. Placed our order and received our food, waitress didn't really check back at all. Seemed too busy with tables outside. Food was very good but the service was lacking.
Came here for the first time for my husband's birthday. Exceptional service and the food was amazing. Pizza, wine, meatballs, pasta -- best of the best on Southport.
Dinner before going to see a play.Absolutely a great spot for casual dinner. Our server made some suggestions for our group and we were all pleased.its a great addition to the neighborhood-will be back.
Great atmosphere with a good mix of Italian dishes and pizza that is. It run of the. Mill. Specialty drinks were on point ad well
