Coco Pazzo Café
The food was average and the ambiance and menu were dated. The service was extremely slow for dinner. For the quality it was relatively overpriced.
The new site for Coco Pazzo Cafe is not as intimate and quiet as the old site. Looking out the window you see fast food restaurants. It’s now a tourist stop when before many local area residents ate at the old location. I was disappointed but perhaps they had to move.
This is an absolutely fabulous restaurant!
Everything was good except for the pasta-specifically the Pepe pasta and the carbonara. Just ok at best
It's been five years since I've been able to visit Coco Pazzo Cafe... Which means I'd not visited the new location just yet.
The food was awesome, just as I remember. The new location isn't quite as cozy. But it was a blast to return to a little spot where I have such great family memories (my daughters remember the bread).
Always a great experience here. An intimate neighborhood place that is always a wonderful, welcoming lunch or dinner.
Hard to tell what type of food is provided at this restaurant. Mostly Italian in origin, but no particular style. Popular, lots of room, a bit noisey, casual dining. $50 salad, entre, tax, tip, one drink.
Excellent food and service. Go there every time in Chicago!
The food was amazing and the service was great. Highly recommended
Solid food options, impressive ambience /service, and overall great Streeterville Italian. You won’t be disappointed
The food was not only delicious but was served quickly and by waitstaff who were determined to make our meal as pleasant as possible. Coco Pazzo Cafe is a high quality and reasonable restaurant that I would recommend to anyone coming to Chicago.
Good Italian food and attentive service. Vibrant ambience, though a little loud. We will go back.
Food was awesome. We were greeted and seated by the owner. Guessing we had a new waiter. Service was slow. Never did get a refill on our ice tea. Had an appetizer of meatballs and they were delicious. May have been packed a little too tight. Enjoyed the margarita pizza and it was just the way I like it. Thin crust, yummy sauce and crust cooked through. Will definitely go back next time I am in town.
Absolutely wonderful food and service! Looking forward to going back.
Great food and great service. A very charming place we go every time we are in Chicago. Ambience is fun and relaxed. Wine list is extensive. Food is very interesting and not over the top but well prepared.
Very good. We always enjoy dining here.
Outstanding flavors- authentic and simple with high quality ingredients just like in Italy. 7 vegetali salad (chopped salad w 7 vegetables including string beans raddicio and cannelloni beans topped w pecorino ), the octopus appetizer and the ricotta gnocci w tomatoes and basil were mouth watering.
Old location was better but otherwise all the positives remain.
Never disappoints! Great service, excellent food! Very authentic Italian food!
We were very disappointed. We have been there before and very happy that is why we decided to go there when seeing family who were in town that we had not seen in a long time. Our server was abrupt and absent. When he came to the table he was always in a rush and then absent for 30 minutes at a time. Food was mediocre at best was cold when we received it. Then waited 35 minutes for dessert to arrive. We won’t go back and apologized to our guest for the poor choice
Professional staff, delicious food, fun casual atmosphere
Something has changed or maybe an off night. Service was horrible. Couldn’t get waited on and then entrees came out during salad course. Just a mess!
Excellent service. Good food - very flavorful. Good wine list as well
We loved Coco Pazzo Cafe for all of the reasons people enjoy a lovely evening. Food was good (especially the octopus appetizer) the vibe was lively. The service excellent. Ambiance enough to feel like we went out for a special evening. Enjoyed!
Great evening. Did get a little loud
Very good. Would like a little more variety on the menu
I was here twice during a stay at a professional meeting in Chicago as I stay close by, and I come with one colleague every year. The ambiance is great, bustly but not overwhelming. There are signature Modigliani! like murals on the wall. Service is excellent most of the time, good pasta and veal scallopini. I’ve always been able to get a table even when Chicago is mobbed. Prices are quite reasonable. One of my favorites!
Truly enjoyed every moment from when we walked in and how we were greeted to our starters and throughout our exceptional dinner and evening!! Thank you!
I have always loved the food at CPC and the servers are always respectful and pleasant!
But ever since the move to the new space, the noise is a lot more intense and interferes with my experience.
This time I sat right behind the hostess stand throughout the meal I could the noises from the kitchen--very distracting, as I was trying to catch up with my friend of over 20 years. In the old space the kitchen was removed and the ambiance was much less jarring to the senses.
When I got home I noticed my voice hoarse and my throat sore from straining to speak.
Maybe add some sound absorbing wall coverings? Or put a wall in front of the kitchen area?
I think next time I will request to sit farther from the table.
We were seated right away even though we showed up early. Food was very good. Service was lacking. We asked for limes twice and ended up going to the bar to retrieve our own. Waiter was nowhere in site. Half the meals came out and the other followed ten minutes later. Asked for a wine list, which we received, but waiter never returned for us to order wine. Service should be better.
Carpaccio was truly excellent! Service was very good. Would have preferred table by window, back room felt a bit confined.
My wife and I had pre-theater reservations for 5:00 pm. We arrived 10 minutes early and asked to be seated outside. The food was excellent, the service mixed. We had two cocktails, 2 beers, two appetizers and soup, and two pasta entrees. The bill was $145. We were there 2 hours. A relaxing dinner.
Wonderful setting with great service and fantastic good. Very enjoyable!
We had an overall nice dinner at CP Cafe when we arrived in town Friday night. The eggplant Parmesan and Caprese salad were excellent. Squid ink with seafood was good and the spaghetti bologna was very good. Missed having the antipasto bar like the original location. Definitely would go back. Service was good however one meal was served later than the other 3.
I ordered the ravioli with asparagus and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Esp. the sauce!
A lot of gluten free choices and everything was delicious !!
We really felt like we had gone somewhere different. Food is Great! Unique fresh flavors.
Marco (manager) and our server (Louis) could not have been better. We ended up with 14 people at two tables and everyone went out of their way. Three in our group were children - very well behaved - but most were in their 50's to 70's. Our server (Louis) FABULOUS. We ordered way to many appetizers then had lovely wine and yummy main courses and some of us indulged in desserts. It was busy - quite busy on a Thursday eve, so I'm glad we had reservations. I had called the restaurant and worked out the particulars with them because we had one person in our party in a wheelchair and we needed to use the side elevator to enter the restaurant. A really lovely evening. There is a reason we like this restaurant. Very accommodating.
We had not been to Coco Pazzo since they relocated. They did a great job of updating and retaining the atmosphere and design. The food was nicely presented. We had the Salad Vegetale which was quite good. I had a pasta dish which was also very good. My husband had the trout special which although a nice piece of fish was lacking in flavor-needed some seasoning. From past experience I would say this was an anomaly and would definitely return.
