This restaurant serves sophisticated, creative food. It was delicious, but I would not recommend it for families with children because the food is more sophisticated than most children would appreciate. The chef is quite fond of the use of gels, which can be interesting, but tiresome after many dishes. I very much appreciate his creativity however. Every dish has an elevated feel. A particular favorite of the night: cacio e pepe risotto with sea urchin -- delicioso!

Went with my husband when visiting Rome. The staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food. The food was very good - I had the buffalo tartare and roasted octopus which I really liked. lots of effort was put into it and it showed. The barman makes very very good cocktails. On the evening we visited they had a live singer who was just right he had a lovely voice. Overall we will definitely visit again when we next visit.

This place is amazing in every way, really made our trip to Rome perfect.
Food insane and great value for money

The wait staff was amazing. The bar tender makes a great drink. Loved the music, atmosphere and everything about it.

This restaurant will not disappoint! So much thought is put into the dining experience from entry through the lush landscape of the bar, to the drinks menu, the wine list and the atmosphere of the dining room. The bartender and owner/sommelier were spectacular in explaining all libations. The food was outstanding, wish I could have added the steak, my husband said it was the best he had ever had! We would eat here once a week.....if we only lived in Rome! Bravo, well-deserved praise from all the reviews!!

From the time we walked in to the time we left, we felt like we belonged. A very reasonable 8 course tasting (65 euros/85 euros if you paired with the cocktails) along with singing and laughing led by the owner, who apologized to US for not speaking much English, even though we insisted we should be apologizing to HIM for not knowing any italian! An all around wonderful experience. Make it to this spot if you can!!

Really nice atmosphere, great service and very good food. The appetizers were excellent - had the avocado salmon salad. The steak was a little chewy but flavorful. The place was very charming and the service was very good. Husband had a burger which was excellent. I would return.

Great food, drinks, service and experience. Not a lot of restaurants using OpenTable in Rome yet, but we were glad this place had some openings for us. The food was unique; if you’re a little tired of pasta with red sauce and want to try more inventive modern Italian cuisine, then check this place out. I think we were the only tourists in the whole place, which was cool as well. Worth a visit!

Very unique menu but it works. Amazing service and very friendly as well. Food was delicious and gotta have Tiramisu for dessert.

It was a wonderful secluded authentic place where we had great food and wonderful wine. The service was very nice and attentive without being pretentious. Overall, we had a great experience! I highly recommend it.

Staff were rude, table was directly below air conditioning unit which dripped water onto table, food was over cooked, flavourless and over priced. One of the worst dining experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world

The staff was fantastic. Made wonderful recommendations of dishes we may not have picked on our own. The restaurant has a unique style and great cocktail program. If/when we make it back to Rome, we will be back.

This was a very pleasant experience for my wife and me. We were visiting Rome I stumbled across this place on Open Table It is a bit hidden but sure enough, it was where it was supposed to be. We hade a 7pm reservation which I guess is the same as 5pm in Florida. We were the only ones in the place. We spend two hours there and at the time we left is was 2/3 full which is pretty good for a Sunday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. The staff spoke English very well and the selections were great. The server split our appetizer for us and also the Prima Plate and we each had a Secondi. It was the right amount of food. We shared a desert. I had the octopus which was excellent. The pasta dish was great and we started with a salmon tartar which was also quite good. I would go again, hands down.

Service and food were both outstanding! Bartender was creative and made the best old fashioned! Would highly recommend!

We were a little nervous as this restaurant is off a small dark alley with not much else around! But once we entered we felt very comfortable as the wait staff were super friendly, answered all kinds of questions and provided excellent recommendations.

Fantastic food and delicious cocktails. My group thoughtvit was the best we had in Italy as each dish was perfect. We arrived late and it is a little hidden in the dark alley but look for the twinkly lights!

Perfection. The Bombolotto carbonara e tartufo was insane. I am going to dream about it tonight. The service was excellent and they catered to an English speaking clientele.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the superior skills of the mixologist. He is attentive and talented. Also very personable. Excellent bar experience!

Best meal we had in Rome. Wonderfully creative dishes, fantastic cocktails and great service in a nice ambiance. It was a refreshing change from the traditional trattoria/osteria fare. If you are looking for something a little more modern and hip while still staying true to Italian cuisine this is the place for you!

Lovely! Such a great place for dinner.

What an extraordinary surprise. A little out of the way but worth the search, Clorofilla Cucina provided one of the very best experiences on our visit to Rome: our waiter was gracious and enthusiastically helpful, and very patient with our sons as they asked questions and ordered.

Given that their specialty was both fish and cocktails, focus on both when browsing the menu. My wife and I had terrific cocktails that featured cucumbers and gin in different ways, and I followed up with another cocktail with crystallized salt on the exterior of the glass, a clothespinned rosemary sprig, and a splash of Aperol.

The meals tasted as good as they looked- beautiful presentation and preparation. My seared tuna was perfection with a Moscow mule gel, my wife’s monkfish was perfection, and my son’s salmon was the very best he’s ever had. Even my other son’s burger is rated as his favorite of all time.

We’d highly recommend as an alternate to the tourist traps just a few short steps away!

Outstanding modern take on Italian food. Very nice reasonably priced wine list. Steaks are not as good as the rest of the menu.

Lovely little restaurant away from hustle and bustle. Food was delicious, service ‘relaxed’ rather than slow - so if you’re in a hurry go somewhere else. Would recommend and they have good choice of cocktails. It was quite noisy but this was due to a large group sat nearby.

Great little hidden gem. Lovely meal with great service. The main waiter was a sommelier so wine recommendations and information was appreciated. Would definitely go back.
