Adjacent to Clement, The Bar offers a bewitching menu of suggested and made-to-order cocktails, a selection of wines and champagnes available by the glass, and small plates echoing the Clement menu with a touch of an Asian influence as a nod to the hotel company’s heritage.

Great food and service, and quiet enough for a conversation without speaking loudly.
We were trying to find a brunch place in the city that had all the breakfast foods as well as lunch foods for the bigger eaters! I found Clement on Open Table and everything on the menu sounded delicious. We were a party of eight and the staff was awesome. Food came out perfectly and tasted amazing. Would absolutely recommend the Clement for anyone next time they are in the city.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable Restaurant Week lunch. The food was tasty and service impeccable. The waiters were exceptionally nice and welcoming, and made the dining experience wonderful.
Excellent foods and excellent service. We 'll be back.
Great for out-of-town business people on expense accounts!
It was a great experience all around. The service was really superb. Every part of the meal sumptuous and unique. We were celebrating an engagement and they made us feel very special.
Thanks to Marco, our server, and the entire staff. The service here is wonderful and the food divine. A perfect special-occasion spot in a great NYC location!
Great food, awesome service... thank you Marco for making sure everything was just as we wanted it.
You’re the best!!
Can’t wait to return.
The crab cake and scallop appetizers were delicious. My daughter and I both had the lamb chops. They were superb. The service was excellent.
We had a very enjoyable evening.
We live in the area and my family and I came at noon on Sunday before a Broadway show, it is a very pleasant setting and it wasn’t busy so a nice and relaxed vibe. The food was excellent, steak and eggs, lobster roll, veggie omelet, all nicely prepared. Fine dining for our lunch!
I would like to come back but I do hesitate given our particular server’s tone and interaction with us. We found him to be a bit pushy and not relaxed. We couldn’t figure out if he was bored and wanted us to order so he had something to do or irritated with us for some other reason. I do want to say the rest of the staff was excellent and quietly took care of us as well.
Went on a Friday night with a Travelzoo voucher. Food and service were both excellent. The gazpacho, lamb, and lobster pasta were all delicious. Without the Travelzoo voucher it would have been a bit on the pricey side and I'm not sure we would go back without one. Overall 5 stars.
The service was impeccable, the food was excellent--the only flaw was that my starter arrived not hot. Be aware that the food arrives very slowly. This is a place to relax and have conversation. Also be aware that the wine prices match the food prices.
Excellent meal all around. Marco is the best!!
Our party of 4 had a tasting menu with wine pairings. The dishes couldn’t have been more expertly chosen by the chef to complement each other. Likewise the wines. At least 4 different waiters served us most attentively. They made us feel very special. This was an outstanding experience and we would not hesitate to return for a celebration or special occasion. An absolute gem!
Refined total experience, perfect for a business meal or quiet romantic dinner. It's pricey.
Excellent salmon dinner. Vegetarian plate was sparse by any measure. We may have been better having two side dishes. Very professional staff, beautiful dining room in a beautiful hotel.
If you’re going here, you should already know that you’re paying top dollar. I went for both breakfast and lunch. Both experiences were fair but the value for lunch is much greater than breakfast.
What I didn’t appreciate was the fact that for some reason, gratuity was included in my bill already for breakfast for two people (I didn’t even notice it until after leaving an additional 20%). For the price, there wasn’t even food for breakfast; I left rather hungry. Lunch was much better as far as substance.
The service is amazing. Can’t deny that. The place is always moderately quiet (even when it’s crowded) so it’s great for a business meal where discussions are key. Food was also very tasty.
Great food selection
It's always perfect. And, I am welcomed back like a member of the Clement family. Thank you.
A great place for dinner! Maintain the hotel’s standards.
We had a travel voucher but staff was super nice and went above and beyond can't wait to go back
What a lovely breakfast in a refined atmosphere. Our first waiter forgot our order of sausages and croissants, but another wonderful Chinese waiter, whose name starts with a T, jumped in and saved the day! The food was delicious!
It was a Mother’s Day gift!
Marco, out waiting was possibly the best waiter that I ever had. His knowledge and experience was outstanding.
This was by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in NYC.
Very good service and nice staff.
The stand-bys were still on the menu (Dover Sole, the yellowtail ceviche, lamb entrée and soufflé), but also several new, probably summer additions, that weren't on the menu a few months ago in February. Best service in NYC -- the offer to take the number of remaining pieces of the Wagyu prime-rib we identified back for re-heating after they had been sitting on the serving plate for a while, along with full and colorful descriptions of everything we were eating, were just some of the extra attention details. Best feature also is the noise level and wide spacing of the tables -- don't ever skip Clement because it's in a hotel.
Clement is beautiful, elegant and quiet with a great view over 5th Avenue. They couldn’t have been more gracious about my nephews and nieces being 15 minutes late because of a parade blocking the street. We had a great view of it, though! The brunch was excellent, as was the bottle of Chablis we ordered, and the desserts were to die for. To top it off, service was excellent. Not cheap, but worth every penny, and I will definitely be back.
Lovely restaurant with amazingly personal service. Food was good, just not that interesting. Very quiet and elegant setting.
Honestly, overpriced for no good reason. Nothing special about the food or service (which, frankly, faltered quite a bit, putting price aside), and the bill was a shocker for lunch with no drinks (and I’m used to NYC prices). Literally about 1,000 better places to go in a ten block radius. Avoid.
Perfect place for a business Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner
Fine food, service and ambiance, but a little too pricey!
Excellent meal with spectacular service. Marco was especially helpful.
Marco was wonderful. A perfect anniversary dinner.
Beautiful restaurant for a quiet and elegant evening. Very friendly staff and chef is accomodating.
We went on Mother’s Day and there was no indication on open table about a fixed price menu. We thought we were getting the brunch menu. Our meal was not worth $150 per person. With two cocktails and a tip our bill was an astounding $430.00. The main entrees were just ok.
Perfect for a business lunch. Formal, with good food, good service, and you can have a conversation
