I had the Ocean Bake. Disappointing. 75 percent mashed potatoes. It looks impressive when it arrives but half of the dish itself level to the rim was filled with mash potatoes the other half with a lack luster unseasoned mix of scallops, fish and scallops. Then this is topped with overflowing potatoes. A disappointment. For the price of $39 I would expect the dish itself to be filled with the seafood food, level or slightly lower to the rim and then topped with mash potatoes. My partner had the fish and chips which was a 10/10. The fish was thick and juicy, the batter crispy and seasoned. Dessert - avoid the carrot cake. The icing was overly sweet and too thick given its sweetness. And the cake itself was very greasing and undercooked. My partner had the pistachio cheesecake which was quite nice. I would return but stick to the fish and chips. Avoid any of their potatoe baked options as I heard a table nearby comment their displeasure too. I did question the waitress about the ratio of potatoe to seafood which was their normal delivery of this item.

Four of us attending. Two of us are repeat visitors and seasoned diners. Two were their first time. We are locals and love the drive from Charlottetown to Cardigan. The 48 Road makes this drive well under an hour. Service was quick and came back tot he table at a perfect timing. We ordered two Beach House Platters as apps. The fish was perfectly cooked and one declared it the best fish he had in a restaurant. He repeatedly said it and we all agreed. Every time one of us would have a scallop we heard, "Isn't that amazing?@" It certainly was. The platters were too perfect. The boys ordered another platter each as their mains. We all wanted more of the deep fried clams. The ladies ordered mussels (Coconut curry) and 2 bowls of seafood chowder. An order of onion rings as the last time they were the best ever. The mussels were delicious and declared the best sauce ever.A huge dish with lovely mussels. A bowl for the mussels would have been great. The chowder was exceptional. Lots of onions and celery, but not too much. Buttered base. Lots of potatoes and fish. Would totally order again. The biscuit was heavy and dense. More of a bread texture. The onion rings were cooked a tad too long, they were quite dark, and other then one being eaten and another tried. They were left on the table untouched. We did mention it to the waitress. An offer to recook them was declined because we already had our other food served. The place was full when arrived and pretty full when leaving. Recommend reservations. This was an exceptional experience and out first timers are looking to return to work through the menu. I suspect the boys will be re ordering the Beach Platter again! I suspect we might all and there won't be any sharing!!
