Claim Jumper - Village of Hoffman Estates
Went there for my wife’s birthday. They were in a “beer transition” so they were out of basically everything we wanted. There were times when our server disappeared for 20-30 minutes at a time and it wasn’t even busy. The food was excellent, but our experience could have been better.
Server was fantastic
A little overpriced. Food was nothing to write home about, $14 for a burger that should have had mac and cheese on it but was pretty much just noodles. Our server was great, never had empty drinks and used plates were never on the table long.
We used to go often. A move and revised menu slowed us down. We note some of our favorites are back and that is great. Will be back
Read some reviews that were not favorable..did not experience anything like they described. Had great service, wonderful food, had a really fun time, staff was so very accommodating to us and our grandchildren. Everyone around us was having a great time too. Lots of celebrations going on. Definitely going back and would recommend to anyone.
Food was excellent! It was my husbands birthday we had a great time and will be back for sure!
The food we had was great, but the service was surprisingly slow for how few people they had. We were well ahead of the dinner rush, but not so much so they should be backed up or still prepping. We were headed to a show at the nearby Sears Center. If you’re doing the same, give yourself 90 minutes to be safe.
Food was good, there for Valentine’s Day so we had an early reservation at 5:30.
I meals were good. I did order a ribeye, medium rare, it was borderline between medium & medium rare. Since it was borderline, I did not say anything to server.
Food was great. Service was not very good. First ever experiencing that at claim jumper.
We were disappointed with our experience here. We came to celebrate my son’s 17th birthday, party of 6. The server was missing in action almost the entire time. Took us an hour from the time we entered the building (with a reservation) to when we were able to order our food. Food was a mixed bag - tri tip sandwich was good, pasta was not, burger was good, ribs were not. Would have expected more for the cost.
Food was excellent & mai tai was excellent. Our waitress was very nice.
Overpriced, moderately good food. Certainly nothing to rave about. Average service, coffee was lukewarm, no real thought or care in the menu. Would not return.
the wait service was fine, the food from the kitchen was slow even though they were not busy.
The chairs were extremely uncomfortable making it less I joy able to sit and chat with friends. One of our friends has an allergy to garlic, they weren’t able to accommodate her requests for bread with no garlic. The salad had wilted and brown lettuce , very unappealing. The chicken pot pie and fish tacos were good n
Food was good, but service really lacked. Time we arrived to the time we left, we spent more time waiting for food, service or paying of check than we did get service. It was not busy at all when we arrived and had picked up quite a bit as we left, so do not understand why such the delay in getting service. I would try again, but hope that we do not get the same server.
Was not crowded due to weather, but had great service, food was good like always. The restaurant always delivers.
Claim Jumper has a large selection of choices on their menu. We’ll be back to enjoy the food but unfortunately our service was only average.
Pretty average as expected place, must be updated looked out dated
Would not recommend for brunch. Food was cold and old, omelets were made with a minimal amount of egg and burnt until brown, rolls and tortillas were dried out, At the carving station only small rations were handed out. Everything tasted just a little bit off, not sure it was due to age of food or if it’s a general problem. Not worth the price paid for brunch.
The food was fresh and hot. Good attitude on part of staff.
Unless you have all the time in the world this isn’t the place. Service is slow as can be so plan to wait. And wait, and wait. Don’t come thirsty or hungry you’ll have plenty of time to become both before your drink order is taken. Meatloaf is awful and should not be used for human consumption everything else we had was just okay at best. $120 later for 3 people and I mean way way later not worth it. Redeeming quality is the restaurant itself is very nice.
Ribs were dry as a matter of fact they were burned. Tri tip was tough as hell. Waitress was great. Food overall was below average. Bread was great. Pretzel ok. Not gonna go back
We love Claim Jumpers! This is one of our favorite places to take our grandchildren. We like it as everyone is able to find something they really enjoy. The appetizers are great, everyone goes crazy for the cheesy-bread, the service is always super and the prices are more than fair. What's not to love???
Good food, great service for party of 11.
With5 small kids waiter did a super job.
Very noisy. Had the New SURF & SURF* Honey Sriracha seared Atlantic salmon. Did not know how hot spicy it would be. Might add a chili pepper icon to warn someone. I did ask the server how it was an he said it was good. He did take it back and brought me a blackened salmon.
Our waitress is in the wrong profession
A really nice facility, very big and comfortable with a nice bar area and lots of cozy alcoves and booths. Huge menu and lots of excellent comfort foods. Tremendous bar menu with lots of special drinks. Everything is good and reasonably priced. Service was very good for lunch on a Saturday.
The food was absolutely terrible. I had the turkey dinner special. The mashed potatoes were like a rock, with no gravy on them. The stuffing was about one teaspoon full hiding under the dry tough & thin turkey slices, and the gravy that was on the turkey was thick like a gelatin. My wife had chicken & it was dry & tough. I big disappointment for our Christmas Eve dinner.
Always excellent service and food. Never disappointed here.
Waitress was very attentive. Enjoyed out time there
Great food and service!
Arrived to find No Hostess in sight. Then after about 5 minutes, a Hostess surfaced, only to say she’d be with us in a minute. Then the Hostess had a difficult time seating us because she was trying to match my Seating Preference from my Open Table Profile. Not sure what the issue was because my Profile says a Booth is preferred—and there were several Booths available when we arrived. After we finally got Seated, we were ignored for another 10 minutes-my Date actually went back to the Hostess to complain. Then we finally met our Waitress. She took our Drink and Appetizer Order. Then a 2nd Waitress came by to take our Dinner Order—and that was a little confusing. Then the 1st Waitress proceeded to over-compensate for the bad Start by checking on us every 5 minutes or so!! It was actually annoying and made things worse. And the Food was just OK. I highly doubt I’d return to Claim Jumper again.
Both food and service were good. Look forward to our next trip to Claim Jumper!
Went for Sunday brunch and was not impressed with the selection or quality of food. Definitely overpriced for what is available. Service was slow even though they weren’t very busy.
Food was excellent. service was good, somewhat surprised that birthday was not acknowledged (both on reservation and Landry reward used)
Evening out with my husband- good food, good service. We will be back
Claim Jumper is always one of our favorites for several reasons. We love the atmosphere with the wood and stone....makes it very welcoming, warm and cozy. It’s a nice quiet setting which makes it easy for friends to talk and catch up. The food is always excellent with many choices to pick from.
The buffet is way overpriced. It did not have any shrimp or any carving station there was an omelette station but the person had a tip jar out which I think is very tacky for what I’m paying for my buffet I expect to have an omelette without paying additional for it.
Fantastic Thanksgiving! Claim Jumper did it very well - great food, well organized, excellent service.
