Claim Jumper - Lombard
Terrible service. Server was rude. We asked where our drinks (second round) were, and she said the bartender was "busy"! Then she tried to charge us full price for happy hour drinks. We had to have the check redone twice. The manager finally corrected our check but tried to blame it on a computer change. We will never return!
We went to this location for what was supposed to be a quick anniversary dinner. Our reservation was at 6 but we weren't seated until 6:30. The hostess was rude and offered no explanation or apology. Our waitress was delightful but unfortunately the time it took to get our food turned our dinner into nearly 2 hours. When we were leaving, the hostess couldn't be bothered to look up and be courteous enough to say goodbye. I'm sure this isn't how things are typically run, but it was our first time there and ruined it for us. We probably won't be going back.
Celebrating family birthdays. Our service and food were great but there seemed to be a water leak in bathroom hallway and bathrooms weren’t being kept up. Leak could have caused a fall if someone didn’t see it.
I would recommend Claim Jumpers but not their Sunday brunch. The food was sitting for quite some time. Not fresh. Expensive too
The waitress seemed new and unfamiliar with things. Almost dropped the food of the guest next to us. Our food was warm not hot and the guest we were hosting had to send their meal back to be made over. Not a good experience at all. Most likely will not return.
Our food was great and our Server Patrick was excellent.
We had an enjoyable dinner here. The server Johnny was friendly and professional. I had the bbq back ribs, which were great. My side dishes were very average by comparison, and the mashed potatoes were good but they were not hot.
We had 14 people for dinner on a Monday night. Our waiter was great but the food, not so much. 2 of the 14 had to send their food back (burger was cold, ribs were burnt), salmon was crispy around the edges (salmon should never be that cooked), but was eaten anyway. Some of us had been here before and have never had a bad meal but we're not sure any of us will be back.
Great food and staff! We enjoyed our dinner and drinks in the bar area.
Our group of 6 female friends was celebrating a birthday. The food was good and the service excellent. Everyone enjoyed the experience. We will definitely come back.
Great food, Great service. Had a very nice time with my family.
Really nice brunch with lots of options at a cost of only $25.00.
Great selection of menu items-burgers, seafood, chicken, pork and beef.
Birthday dinner. Good food and atmosphere. My take home birthday dessert was incredible. So good. Thank you.
Service was poor from the minute we walked in the door. Hostess was annoyed that she had to look up my reservation. She was less than friendly as she seated us at a table. We waited about 8 minutes before we were greeted, and it wasn't busy. There were about a total of 4 tables occupied. When a server finally came, we asked about the happy hour sign at the front. He told us that was only available in the bar. When we asked what the happy hour specials were, he said "I don't know, I never work the bar area". We had to go to the bar area and look at the happy hour menu to see what was offered. We decided to move to the outdoor patio area of the bar. We again waited quite some time before a server came over, then had to "find some menus". The happy hour specials were good, portions are on the smaller side, and drinks were weak. Not sure we will ever go back.
sunday brunch was very good. $4 unlimited mimosas were delish
When we arrived the table was sticky and the hostess said it could be the finish on the table, but there definitely was some odd stickyness on part of the table. The server was very nice but we waited quite some time to get our orders taken and for food to be served. I usually don’t mind but it didn’t seem that busy. Over all the food was decent, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was alright.
I reserved a specific table 3 weeks in advance then went over to the restaurant one week in advance to qualify the reservation with the Manager. Then 1 1/2 hours before our reservation I was texted that our table was not available. I was furious since this was typically a quieter area and my 101 year old Aunt could manage it better. They had given our table to a large group (22) and even though we were able to sit in that room, the other table of guests made it much harder for our more senior table to hear each other talk.
Food was great. But advertised pizza on kids menu, but they don't serve pizza or did t have any available. They advertised a free slice of chocolate cake for your birthday month, but they were out of that.
Did get a coupon for free cake another day, but still is not good it isn't readily available!
Menu changed. My date's steak was not cooked per the order. My tri-tips were dry. Luckily, I had a very nice date and pleasant outing.
We had a group of 12, the food and service was very good. The problem was we waited 35 minutes for our drinks . No one even came to our table to apologize. The last time I brought a group the same thing happened but they did comp our desserts nothing this time.
Place felt dirty. Food was cold...
It was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. We asked more than once for the air conditioning to be adjusted only to be told it couldn’t keep up with the size of the building. Even the frosting in their signature cake was melting. We had a group of 10. My husbands stake was cooked wrong. He ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. He told the waitress and a manager came over. Both offered to have it remade but as everyone else had their food and the restaurant was so uncomfortable, he declined. No consideration was offered for the error.
Went for a family dinner of generations, so the varied menu was great for that. Mains, sandwiches, pizza, salads. Nice selection. Generally, the quality of the food was quite good. I’m always suspicious of chain restaurants like this. Johnny, our waiter, was very friendly and checked in on us often. However, he never cleared a plate or empty glass while checking on us. We had to keep asking him to take things away. He didn’t bring any food either. This is the type of place where everyone has a specific job, taking orders, expediting food etc., but seems like no on was given the job to take away dirty/used dishes. It really got ridiculous when staff would walk away from our table empty handed while we had a mess in front of us. For our large group and family, it served the purpose.
Really Great restaurant. Food was delicious at the brunch buffet and who could ask for more with $4 Endless Mimosas. Nice dining atmosphere only negative was the the seats were very very worn...the food and service from Carlos was so exceptional that I won’t take a star away.
We always enjoy claim humor for lunch or dinner. Alcoholic drinks are a bit expensive but the food is always fantastic.
Excellent experience. Couldn't ask for a better restaurant!
bartenders was great....df dfsdfdfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Good food and service but I'm concerned about some brokerage group having bought the chain from Landry.
Our Server Pat, was 10/10.
He made sure we were happy and set. It was my mom birthday and her food was burnt, he had them remake the whole plate. No questions asked.
Reserved the table this morning and when we got there at 6:50, they were waiting for us.
This was well worth the price.
Get the Pic 2. You will leave with a doggie bag😁😁
Gals from high school and server great. She let us be so we could chat. Food was good and we will be back.
Our server Mark was not good. The place was pretty empty and the service was bad. My mother in-law ordered a beer, the server brought a bottle, she asked for a glass 10 minutes later he showed up with a glass. The food for the 4 of us took forever, 2 sandwiches and 2 salads...The people in the booth next to us sat down 20 minutes after us, their food was there before ours. The server was inattentive. It took forever to waive him down to get a bill and then to take our credit card. The meal should not have taken 2 hours! It’s disappointing because my mother-in-law really loves the fish tacos.
My husband and I went to Claim Jumper specifically for the Sunday brunch buffet. I would not recommend this buffet to a friend. The variety of foods was limited. It featured most toward Mexican cuisine. The food seemed to have been sitting for a while. With the exception of the roasted vegetables, the quality of the food was average. The roasted vegetables were delicious. To make the experience even less impressive, my decaf coffee was weak and cold. Our server did his best to make up for our lack of enthusiam. Kudos to him!
Saturday note at 6:30 P.M .Drinks took way too long and the spinach cheese dip was served in a shallow bread bowl as opposed to the oval bowl as pictured leaving a small amount even though the Server suggested this. Dinner also took way too long! My Tri Tip roast beef sliced were rare when served, when Medium was requested. I asked for more heat and was returned with room temp rice and veggies plus medium well Tri Tip which lead me to believe that the meat was possibly zapped??. Also this meat was way salty do to the over seasoning. I was too hungry to send back and call for the Manager. My wife's pasta with cheese and skimpy spinach plus fried shrimp cut in halves tasted good but skimped on the shrimp .What restaurant cuts shrimp in half??
Sorry , I will think twice about returning and dropping $100 for 3 people.
Most amazing server. She made the date night awesome!
I ordered chicken tenders, they were the worst I have ever had!! The coating was mushy not crispy at all!! When I went to the washroom, I had to walk past the kitchen. If I had done that first I would have left the restaurant. There was water and food all over the kitchen floor, it just looked dirty. The washrooms were not any better. Paper all over the floor, plus there wasn’t any soap in any of the soap dispensers. It might have been the worse experience we have ever had at a restaurant!!
Service was horrible and there were many open tables. Slow food service. My simple entree was wrong.
Jonny was our server and he was great! The chocolate cake and cheese cake were a real hit at our table.
Our server, Patrick, was fantastic! He read the situation well and made offers accordingly. The food was good but a little on the pricier side for what it was. I would definately get the calamari again though, that was worth the price. Overall it was a good experience.
