Our server was excellent (Nikita)? Sorry if I got her name wrong. Very attentive and efficient even though she has many large parties! The staff that greets you could use some training...

I would recommend Claim Jumper to a friend, but would preface it by saying that they shouldn't judge it by their first impression. As was my experience, the hostess' were very rude and did not acknowledge us as we stood there waiting to check in. There were 3 hostesses' at the time and not one of them looked at us until I finally spoke up. I would also advise that they ignore the filthy waiting area. There were plastic wrappers all over and it look like a mop and broom had not hit that floor for months. The menus were crusty with food and all six of us has menus that were torn at the folds.

However, our server was excellent, I'm sorry that I don't remember his name, and the food and drinks were also excellent. I loved it that the server knew what we had ordered and placed the dish down in front of us instead of announcing the dish then waiting for someone to claim it. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and smart to tell us what the kitchen was out right after he introduced himself.

So regardless of the horror you will experience before you get to your table, try to get past that. The food is very good and pray that you get a good server. It makes a world of difference.

While the food was ok, it felt as if it came pre-prepared out of the freezer. And my "gold fashioned" drink was nothing even remotely like an old fashioned.

This is the 2nd time I have been to Claim Jumpers in the last month. Unfortunately they once again did not meet my expectations. While the restaurant was not very busy, the service was slow. The waitress kept forgetting stuff. We had to ask several times for items. We never were asked about refills on our drinks. Terrible service. Thumbs down for me!

Server never asked why we were there and what our special occasion was. The hostess staff as well as the wait staff stopping at the hostess stand kept complaining about being over booked and having so much to do.

Made a reservation for 5:15 PM and were being seated at that time. The food was very good and everyone had something different. There were plenty of left overs to take home with us to enjoy another day. The after dinner desert adult drink menu was great. We enjoyed all but one. It was the baileys and Kahlua with ice cream. My suggestion would be to have the ice cream in a bowl and the person add it at the table so it is not all melted away. It is a bit noisy but that comes with a children friendly restaurant. We had a little noise maker of our own at the dinner table.

For the most part, things were good. I ordered the beef rib dinner. The beef was a little to fatty than what I am use to. The flavor of the sauce was good. The vegetables were very good.
Had the carrot cake - we took it home but it was very good

Great buffet brunch for a great price! Can’t beat it. Good variety and tasty. Spacious area too. Bottomless mimosas for $4!!! And they are big and potent. Service was fantastic too.

I had a Landry's gift card to use up so went to Claim Jumper with my teenage son. Loved the big tables and our nice server, and the old-fashioned way you get a salad and bread for the table along with your meal. I do think the value is a bit off -- dinner for two was about $75. I'd like to come back with my whole family but will need to think about it first.

Our server Pat was amazing, he made the whole evening wonderful. Restaurant was kind of cold, I understand we were having an April snow storm, but a lit fireplace would have been nice. Food was delicious, but prices seemed high for the venue in comparison to other restaurants. We will however, be back for sure.

Had to order an extra side due to the small amount given. Both orders of the beef ribs were full of fat. Disappointed all around

Claim Jumper used to be a fun place to go with unique food options and mile-high cake. It's gotten a bit lackluster in our last couple of visits and frankly the service (from the greeting and seating when you walk in, to the actual table service attentiveness). I Ordered the tri-tip dinner and yes while there were choices and options for sides, the presentation was pretty stark on the plate making it not as compelling as maybe an embellished dish would offer. However, taste was still very good. AND... baked potato was hot which was appreciated.

Great overall experience with the food and the server were great! The hostess needs to work on her people skills! Thank goodness we did not give her that much power! She could impact the customer’s experience negatively!

Our visit to the Claim Jumper was fine. The food was good, not great. My steak was ordered Medium Rare, it was cooked medium. The food was good, nothing outstanding or great, but not bad.

This is the third time we have been here with three kids. Each time we have had a reservation and have had to wait 30 minutes or more past our reservation time. Furthermore, the only way they sat us that long after our reservation is because I complained. If we wouldn’t have said anything we probably would still be sitting there waiting. They continued to sit walk ins in front of us and others with reservations. Many people were complaining.

This time we didn’t even sit so I can’t comment on the food but the previous times it was mediocre. The only positive is the portions are large so you can bring some of that mediocre food home with you.

Don’t waste your time here.

I had forgotten that this is a really popular place for families with kids. It was predictably loud, but not uncomfortable. We were seated within a few minutes of our reservation and our server showed up right away and was attentive throughout the meal. The menu is extensive and not a little confusing what with all the available add-ons and upcharges in most main dish categories. Certainly not lacking in choices for sure! The corn chowder was very good as was the wedge salad; the salad would, however, have been better with about half the dressing. The fish tacos were just okay, but the buffalo club wrap was excellent. It was huge, so the leftover half was a treat the next day. All in all, a nice evening.
