The restaurant furniture is in need of updating. It looks like they’ve went for shabby chic but more to the shabby side. The food was mediocre. The starter was a bit flavourless and the chicken in the main course was very dry but the creamy leak sauce and risotto rescued it. Was not worth travelling into Glasgow City Centre and contending with traffic for.

Received a voucher for 2courses for 2 & a bottle of wine as a gift.
Venue looked welcoming on arrival. We were seated promptly and given the set menu.
However all downhill after that. The food was very unappetizing..salty sauces/gravy, mushy veg and finger marked plates. I did get my first main course replaced as the ‘risotto’ was like a pancake but the replacement was no better.
The only saving grace was we had a lovely Australian waitress who was very attentive.
Could not recommend this restaurant. In Glasgow theres so much choice so why go to the mediocre!!!!

Best Sunday roast I've had in a long time. Empty plates all round the table. Would have liked a pudding but very few to choose from and quite uninspired. Excellent service at the bar before and after our meal. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant but it did take a while to get attention considering it wasn't overly busy. Will definitely be back and happy to highly recommend.

Had a voucher for the 2 course meal and wine. Excellent service from all the staff, haggis for me was excellent my partner found the Marie sauce a bit shop bought? The Chicken main was excellent as was the cheese board. Some butter for the crackers and a little more choice of wine and it would have been all 5 stars. Thank you to all the staff who served us.

Hi, been a few times and good was excellent but not so happy with last experience. I had the haggis to start and it had been burnt , struggled to get knife into it , not what I expect from Citation .

We have been to Citation on several occasions but must admit we were a bit disappointed with the service on Saturday. The restaurant was not busy at all but after I ordered drinks we waited and waited and after 30mins with no drinks my wife had to go to the bar and speak to the bartender. We can put up with practically anything and don't tend to write reviews as we feel some people are not happy with anything regardless of where it is.

Don't get me wrong the staff are very friendly and pleasant and the food was great but the drinks order was disappointing although the place had only about 9-10 tables full.

This will not put us off as it's a lovely venue with good music and nice atmosphere and will definitely return.

Love this restaurant, been a few times and would go back. The deals you get, two course meal with bottle of wine are brilliant, from various sites.

Service was super sloppy and disorganised, getting the same info multiple times and not following up on things when asked upon. Food was hit and miss, some stuff wad cooked perfectly and some was sub par, overall a good night but could have been way better if service was just average

Bought this deal on itison also bought for friends ,the place is lovely, the waitress Irish girl was lovely.
The problem was we had a very long wait for the food the starter was ok but the main course was not warm enough and my friend ordered the fish dish and it must have been the smallest fish on a dish we have ever seen my friend pointed this out to the waitress (not the Irish girl she was lovely) the other girl just looked and shrugged us off. By the time the food came we were so hungry no one wanted to say about the food not hot because god knows how long we would have had to wait again.

I would visit again but not for food just drinks.

Had a beautiful meal on the 2 course meal and bottle of wine deal which was a Christmas present.
I had pan fried chicken on pea and ham risotto which was lovely and the haggis, neeps and tatties which was lovely also although I found the sauce a bit too strong taste of mustard. My husband had the chicken wings which he enjoyed but would have been too spicy for me. He also had the pasta and meatballs both large portions. However I would suggest not to be seated at the far right hand side upstairs as it was dark and difficult to read the menu! Suggest a light of some sort on the table. This however was the only downside.

Food was Ok, Luke warm but certainly edible. Restaurant was very empty and when we ordered a dessert we were advised they needed the table back?

Wasn’t aware this was a small print as wasn’t advised of this when we arrived. Might have been small print somewhere when I booked on open table.

There is a nice way and a crude way to get this across to customers. Our experience was the crude one and for one I would never come back.

It was 1430 in the afternoon and about a quarter of the tables if you’re luck had people at them. Very frustrating and off putting.

Lovely venue for a Friday night dinner. Great atmosphere with music and a great buzz. We asked for the market menu as I had seen it on opentable, however we were not offered it. Food was delicious, although portions were very small in my opinion. The menu is very good value for 2 courses and glass of wine, however I would expect the meals to be a bit bigger. We ordered side dishes to go with it which was fine, again they were very small.
Overall a great meal, only comments would be the portion sizes which may well be smaller as it was part of the market menu.

i deliberately booked for 4.30, so we could eat in the upstairs restaurant. we arrived to find it was closed.
surely an email could be sent letting me know and then we both could have eaten earlier. one male member of staff was very unhelpful re the situation. he only showed us to a table which had a heater blasting very hot air which i could not tolerate. not a lot of choice on the menu which was not helped that one course had sold out. on such a small menu, 2 courses of fish is 1 too many. also £3.40 for a small coffee in the downstairs venue which has no ambiance and badly needs refurbished is way over the top. my friend was not impressed and will not be back

We had a meal on sat night , the starters weren’t all that warm but the staff were busy so we didn’t like to interrupt , no one came near and asked if he needed anything but tbh we had a bottle of Prosecco with the meal so maybe they thought we were fine , the place is gorgeous , we had a voucher so I cannot comment on the prices but all in all it was nice , don’t think I’ll be returning for food but I’ll be back for a drink downstairs as it was lovely .

Everything was great. The only reason I marked it down was the level of the music from downstairs. It was good music for a Friday night, Lizzo, Beyoncé, Pharrel etcl but too loud in the restaurant. Food lovely, we don’t drink Prosecco so swapping for red wine wasn’t an issue and the waiter was wonderful.
