I went to Cira for a work lunch. As I had heard great reviews, I had high expectations. The decor was very cute and the lunch menu had great selection. The food was good, but nothing outstanding; compared to what I was told. The disappointing part was our server was not very attentive. Over beverage glasses and water were never refilled and it took us a while to get our check.
Wonderful meal and beautiful restaurant!
Was a bit expensive for the portions. Liked the size of the plates but think the prices per plate are a bit high. Loved our waiter and the ambiance.
made reservations for 2 but showed up with two more couples. Hostess was very nice and accommodating, giving us a table right away on busy saturday night!
the place is very happening and very loud but it was not a big deal. Food started arrive within 10 minutes after ordering. Pretty much all dishes were outstanding especially humus, lamb tagine and seafood brodo. Falafel was just a bit to complicated for a falafel. deserts good but can't remember what we ordered:) We will be back for sure. Great young vibe
Our table's favorite dishes were the brown butter hummus and the duck leg confit. My personal favorite was the conchiglie pasta.
Wonderful cocktails, tasty and inventive small plates for sharing, very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Only problem is getting to the restaurant with all the construction. Allow plenty of extra time.
We had a fabulous time here. The food was delicious and the service was just outstanding. The ambience was everything! Definitely coming back again... soon!
Great atmosphere. Great vibe. Missed the mark on on a few menu items:sardines and puttanesca, chicken had lovely flavor but a little over cooked. Hummus and dorado were lovely. Will go again to enjoy the lounge and small bites.
Everything was incredible. The duck confit is absolutely out of this world. We also at the Cira Salad, grilled octopus, two pasta dishes, the swordfish and had cocktails. Everything was perfection. Drinks were delicious. Food was outstanding. Service was too notch - our server knew we were celebrating, so he brought us complementary champagne glasses.
My wife and I went here for our 29th birthdays. The food was exception. We ordered off of the Cira Feast menu, which was composed specifically for us by the chef. At $75 per person, this was a STEAL. We probably brought home more food than we ate. The quantities were great. The food and chef selections were exceptional. Would HIGHLY recommend. Before your reservation, stop by on the rooftop of the hotel at Cabra for a poolside drink.
The best spot to entertain a client - had a wonderful lunch. Our server Colleen was fantastic and remembered my last visit and my favorite dish! Well done!
Ciara is an amazing restaurant. The food and service are excellent. The chef is very supportive of those with allergies. The presentations of the food is beautiful!
The food was outstanding and I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend the shakshuka.
We absolutely loved everything about Cira. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
The only complaint is that the staff were a bit aggressive with clearing our plates between courses. We barely had taken our last bites before someone tried to take our plates. I had to tell them twice that we were not done. Other than that I highly recommend Cira/
Staff is inconsiderate and unprofessional. Spent my last half hour dining with staff vacuuming the booths and seats around us. Loud and incredibly annoying. Not a good place if you like to have a conversation while dining. Also the waitress pressured us to close the tab in the middle of our meal so that she could receive her tip before her shift ended and transferred the table. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Food good. Service slow.
Great experience - food was terrific and staff very friendly.
We went for my birthday. The space is beautiful, great energy and everything we ate was delicious.
The service was very slow. Food was very good, but small portions on appetizers and pricey. We had to ask multiple times to get placesettings and things that we had ordered. The atmosphere is great and the food was very tasty.
Date night at one of the new restaurants in the Fulton Market neighborhood. Decor is nice, but maybe the tables along the bench seating are a bit too close. A bit of a struggle getting between tables. Mostly small plates, but when your sharing with a date, never a bad thing. The crudo was fantastic, as were the olives. While the chorizo was tasty, the plating was just a bunch of slices on a plate. The beet and asparagus salads were very good, and the swordfish punttanesca was also very good. Trying to figure out how to copy the octopus red sauce. Maybe a slice or two of bread with the entree would have been good to soak up the sauce.
Our only complaint might be the feeling of being rushed. We were out the door in less than an hour. A couple of times we had to indicate we weren't done with a plate. However, we would rather the service be prompt, than wondering whether we had been forgotten. Small issue, won't stop us from coming back.
I loved the interior. The service was good and the server was nice. I thought some of the items on the mezze platter were bland especially the lentils. Beautiful presentation but not super exciting.
Our server Jory was great
Overall everything was good. The food was good and the service was excellent. I'm not sure if I would recommend it to someone else just because there are so many good places in the area. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from going but it just didn't have that wow factor.
Great location to celebrate a birthday or get together. Exceptional service and food. Remember, you get what you pay for so expect a higher tab, although very reasonable for West Loop and the quality of the overall experience.
Cira has a unique menu and it's a lovely space. The Turkish menu items were amazing.
The food was good. The service was acceptable. The experience was nothing terrible, but nothing exceptional.
Service was overall very slow. When the food came it was good and flavorful. Had three in our party and two meals came out first. Took almost ten minutes for third meal. Only go if you don't mind a slow meal and waiting a while for coffee.
A really great evening was had by all- great inventive menu, no oversize portions to weigh down the evening, fantastic flavors.!
Very prompt service. Great food. Totally outstanding.
Service was disjointed. No one came to our table for over five minutes upon arrival. Our pastry came approximately 45 seconds before our entrees. Our cocktails and coffee came after our entrees. The restaurant was not busy for brunch so I’m not sure what the problem was.
Amazing food, nice decor, great service, and overall good time! Would definitely recommend to friends and going to go back and try Cabra Rooftop very soon...
Excellent food, will be back for sure!
Beautiful room. Excellent service. Delicious food. Lots more on the menu to try! Will be back.
The food was good and ambiance good, however, felt the food was too over priced for what it was and portions. Seems that it is priced higher due to being part of a hotel versus a stand alone restaurant. I would go recommend friends to go there at least once but not sure if I'd go back.
We had brunch at Cira. The noise level is high, as it is a big space with a lot of people. The wait staff seems a bit scattered - it took a while for the waiter to come to our table. However, he was reasonably helpful once he got there. The food was good, and fairly priced. So, if it were a bit quieter, I would recommend it. As is, it is too loud for me.
My sister and I came to Cira for a "girls' night" and had a late dinner after having cocktails upstairs at Cabra. Our waiter was accommodating and gave great advice on the wine list and food selection. The octopus was slightly disappointing, as it was heavier on the peas and lighter on the citrus than I hoped, but the salad and pastas we ordered were fantastic. I highly recommend the Pistachio Ravioli. We were very skeptical and nervous it would be too sweet (or taste like oranges) but it was DELICIOUS. I would've ordered two more orders, if I'd had the appetite.
We enjoyed our meal at Cira last Friday night. The place is connected to the Lobby of The Hoxton and is very loud and energetic. We had three people and shared a number of dishes, all of which we enjoyed. I think the place is a good value given the food quality and the location you are at in the hottest part of Chicago.
