Cinque Terre Ristorante
For more large party availability, please call the restaurant.
Cinque Terre is a beautiful area of the Italian Riviera which is comprised of five villages. The towns are connected by medieval style walkable paths. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore are set on steep rock formations at the water's edge. These villages are a favored destination for travelers to Italy where seafood is prevalent. Pesto, a condiment made of fresh basil, is the flagship of tradition in the region. At Cinque Terre, we make our pesto every day from the freshest and top quality ingredients. We always have on the menu, Muscoli (mussels), Polpo (octopus), Gamberi (shrimp) and a variety of seasonal seafood, artisan pizzas along with house-made pastas. You'll also find an oyster bar that serves raw oysters on the half shell with fresh horseradish and
We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Cinque Terre and loved it!!
Great graduation lunch! Especially liked the bistecca.
Pretty ordinary. But our server was great
Got stuck at a terrible table despite having a reservation. Saw walk-ins get much better tables.
Server recommended the gnocchi with the meat sauce. He said you should always judge an Italian restaurant by its meat sauce. If that’s the case, then this restaurant mustn’t be too good because the gnocchi and especially the sauce was terrible. One of the worst sauces I’ve ever had on gnocchi anywhere in the world. I’ve been to Cinque Terre and Florence and Rome many times - this was not an authentic take. It wasn’t tan American take. It was just a sad, flavorless, runny take. Frozen Trader Joe’s ones would’ve been more satisfying.
The squid ink pasta was excellent. Overall though, the gnocchi was so poor it ruined the dining experience. The server had a bizarre attitude too I think he was trying to be friendly but came across as condescending. I won’t be returning.
Both the food and the staff are truly awesome, seeing to our every need.
The food and drinks were excellent and our server Desa (sp?) was great. We will definitely recommend this restaurant.
Dargo the best
Waiter ignored us for five minutes. Too noisy for a quiet conversation. No complaints about the food.
Amazing food! The Squid in San Marzano sauce was exquisite!
Excellent food and nice ambiance. The grilled octopus was fabulous!
Comfortable booth, attentive service, delicious food! We wanted to both try several different dishes so they accommodated us by dividing soup, salad, and pasta dishes. Overall an enjoyable and excellent experience!
Our favorite Italian restaurant!!!
It was the best! Our server Miguel was just delightful and super helpful with anything we needed. His suggestions were superb and we really enjoyed our time here. 12/10 would recommend.
Food & atmosphere was good, service was poor due to staffing. Our server was kind & attentive when she could be, was 1 hr before we were even able to order.
If you want to treat yourself to an incredible dining experience, go to this restaurant
Wonderful food , environment and service! Thanks to Sierra who made the experience fun; adventurous and delicious
We celebrated birthday there, truly enjoyed the food and service.
Cinque Terre is a delightful environment with delicious food. The inside is really bright and airy, but doesn't feel overwhelmingly huge. Food is AMAZING, I can't wait to go back and try different dishes! We had a fantastic waiter who was able to give us great food and wine recommendations, and was patient when we had a hard time deciding on a main course.
My only concern is about noise level: our table was tucked away in a little nook, and it was nice and quiet. But, I think it would be pretty loud in the main areas because the ceilings are really high and there doesn't seem to be anything to act as a noise dampener.
Food was great- I had the pasta with rabbit and my daughter had the pesto. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, though we waited about 10 minutes for her to come to the table.
I was really looking forward to dine at this restaurant. We went there to celebrate our 20 years anniversary. We had oysters for one of our appetizers and it was good. Next one was grilled octopus and that was just ridiculous. The size of this dish didn’t really allowed you to taste it, it was SO Small! Grilled octopus is one of my absolute favorite dishes and I have it at anywhere it served. So, very disappointed about this. Next dish was anchovy crostini and it was good. And lost dish was a chef’s salad which was good.
So, ok, but nothing to write home about and very disappointed about grilled octopus.
Great space and food. I’d gladly return next time in Seattle.
Food is excellent and very welcoming service. Thanks to our server Darko, who gave us good suggestions on food and drinks based on our preferences and expectations. The dessert Panna Cotta was unbelievably delicious. I, with very little craving for sweet, felt like having the same plate more.
Great culinary experience
I have eaten here about 10 times. This is one of my two favorite downtown restaurants. Great place for seafood, but they have plenty of non-seafood fare. Squid ink pasta and seafood soup are extraordinary. Chef salad was delicious. Red pepper soup was mediocre. They make the best focaccia bread I have ever eaten, and you can have as much as you want - free. However, on my most recent visit I was a bit disappointed with it - taste was still good but it was flat and dense. Usually it is lofty and pillowy. One thing I love about his restaurant is that your table feels private and the noise level is not over the top. You can have a personal conversation and you do not need to shout. Good for dates and business lunches and dinners.
We had a delightful time celebrating a birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server Carrie was fantastic. I am never disappointed at a Varchetta restaurant!
Great meal! Food was fresh and tasty, service attentive and friendly. Possibly the best prepared octopus in Seattle (I order it anytime I can). Local oysters were so good as well. We highly recommend the beef carpaccio as a shared appetizer
the food is so average… service is okay
We booked this restaurant for a birthday dinner. We arrived early and were greeted warmly by the host person. While we were waiting briefly we were intrigued by a few cocktails that the bartender was preparing nearby. The bartender noticed our curiosity and stepped over to share the drink menu and discussed all the ingredients and how the drink was prepared. It was their “Italian Margarita” and we all recommend it! Already we were off to a wonderful night here. A few minutes later the host person sat us (early!) and provided us with special menus that said “Happy Birthday.” It was very classy and a nice start.
Overall the food and drink were very, very delicious. All four of us ordered different entrees and love them all. I ordered a dish that came with a side of potatoes, and I asked if it would be possible to substitute it for spinach. They gladly did so. In fact the sever came back to tell me that the chef wanted to know if I might want to have some extras to “jazz” up the spinach. I took them up on the thoughtful offer and they came out sautéd with mushrooms, garlic, etc. It was so unexpected and delicious. It’s a great touch that sparkling water is complimentary. This is a first we’ve seen in the US and it was another unexpected touch.
Our server was fantastic and very attentive but never intrusive. Overall a new top favorite restaurant so we will definitely be returning! Bravo to the owners for running a top notch establishment!
The food was good but service was definitely lacking. I would recommend this restaurant but it would not be my first choice.
Food was outstanding. Service was personal, funny and helpful. Ambiance was terrific on the first floor. But we were in overflow space on level 2, which had no ambiance at all. It was quieter up there, but also we felt we were more easily forgotten. There were problems with our order twice, perhaps due to overtaxed servers on a busy Saturday night but also possibly due to sloppy or inattentive waitstaff and bar staff. Overall we had a nice evening and will return, but we would prefer the first floor and maybe even sit at the bar to be closer to the action and hard to overlook.
We went to Cinque Terre for a celebration. We wanted wine to go with our meal. CT's wine list offers subpar information about the wines it serves. We asked our waiter for help. She could provide none, and sent another waiter to our table to provide advice. We told him that we wanted wine from the same Italian region as where the Cinque Terre is located, Liguria. He told us that, surprisingly, CT carries only one wine from Liguria, which he recommended we order. We accepted his recommendation. After drinking the wine, we learned that it was from another Italian region entirely. We were disappointed by the waiter's misrepresentation -- especially given CT marked-up the wine by about 3.5x its cost. Making matters worse, our meals were, at best, average. We were served overcooked shrimp and undercooked gnocchi. Given CT's servers' lack of knowledge about the wine it serves, and its kitchen staff's lack of cooking skill, we cannot recommend this restaurant, and suggest those searching for fine Italian cooking look elsewhere.
Vibrant on a Thursday night. We were upstairs, which was louder. The service had a New York quality, which was fine with us. It was a graduation dinner, and we wanted something nice and that everyone would enjoy. CT has a big menu, and the calamari, pizzas, pastas and salads were delicious. We also had a cheese, which had some nice selections. We left happy.
They seated us on time, the waiter was very good suggesting appetizers and service overall, and food was brought out quickly. For 14 people, we could’ve finished in an hour if we had to. Would come back for another business / team meal.
Joey was a great server and really did a great job explaining the menu and making great recommendations. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel very special the entire night. The chef salad was the highlight of the meal.
I just realized its sister is Barolo so I know its gonna be good. The seafood was good and the oysters were local and delicious
. Great selection of Italian wines. I was sad that the chiaretto on the website was no longer available tho. It was a great experience. We will come back!
They have 2 person tables right next to other 2 person tables. Could hear every word the tables next to us said. Not very date worthy.
Our waiter was amazing. His name started with a D. He made suggestions for a great wine and helped us decided every course. It was the perfect experience for an amazing date night out. Strongly recommend.
This is a bustling restaurant with outstanding staff to match their food.
We went for my 60th birthday. They made the occasion special in many small and special ways. Our server, Joey, was excellent... ask for him if you decide to go. He made our evening exceptional.
