Welcome to Cinque Ports — Margate’s seafront pub with a proper food offering from STAKEHAUS.

We’re now taking food bookings only in our newly set-up restaurant area — a more relaxed space away from the bar, so you can actually sit down, eat well and be looked after properly.

From the kitchen, expect our signature British bavette steak, burgers, crispy fries and house sauces — simple, done well. On Sundays, we serve our rotisserie chicken — 24-hour brined, slow-roasted and made for sharing.

Our bar menu is available throughout the venue for walk-ins.

Heading to Dreamland? We’re a solid shout for a pre-show dinner or post-gig bite.

Food was great! We came for restaurant week and weren’t disappointed. Recommend the steak and chips! And the school cake was a nice end to the meal!

We went on a friday night as part of margate resturant week offing 3 courses for £20.26p.we had corn on cob as starter, smash burger and chips and pink custard with bit of square sponge cake, food was ok, but pudding was like old school pudding, i feel icecream.could have been offered as well . We sat by the cooking area which clearly had an extraction problem as it a smoke haze was across the tables, we came out smellimg of cooking which was not nice tbh. Not sure i would go back again unless that was sorted out.

Lovely meal for restaurant week. We went early as we knew it would get very busy. Food came up quickly, hot and tasty and great value. Barmaid downstairs ( Ellie) very helpful letting me try wine b4 choosing which was very helpful 🙂 .All in all a pleasant experience. Thank you.

Easy and simple instructions on how to collect your food. Service was great and we didn't feel rushed nor were we sat with our plates in front of us for ages after we finished. Food was outstanding and truffle fries actually came with their own sauce within the fries which was delicious. Our 1-year-old was happy in her highchair and enjoyed the fries. Very reasonably priced and decent-sized portions. Would highly recommend and will be going back again.

We are 4 had a burger but a different one and we all said how amazing they tasted. Had a wonderful lunch and would definitely recommend and we will be back again!

Admittedly we were probably one of the last servings of the day but the meat was pretty poor, I don’t usually say anything but about half was inedible. We were going to mention it when we left but no one came back to the table. A bit disappointing as we ate there most Sundays last year

Been here a few times for food and it's always fantastic. Everything ok the Stakehause menu is sooo good, a great mix of high quality chef cooking with everyday style food at decent prices as well. Ate and had a beer in the quarterback bar for the first time and will definitely be returning to watch the football, great space

Absolutely fabulous restaurant! The food was amazing — beautifully presented, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The staff were wonderful too: friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. A lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and exceptional service. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.
