Food was delicious, service was great . Was a lovely place to have a catch-up with friends and enjoy a few glasses of wine and amazing food for sharing.
All the quality of the old Ciao Cielo, great food and service now in a spectacularly renovated historical court house. Now clearly the best dining Xperience in Port Melbourne
Fabulous authentic Italian with excellent wine selection. gorgeous old building with so much charm and atmosphere. Food was exceptional.
The new reopened restaurant was just lovely. The decor , food and service were all wonderful.
I booked a table for 11 people, we are all local mums and everyone was very impressed. We had a long table down the middle of the room with one end close to the fire which made it a perfect temperature.
Food was delicious. I shared the T-Bone with 3 others and we had 4 sides, Blue Cheese Cauliflower, Broccolini, Fries and Roast Potatoes. All good size to share and none was leftover. If you were hungry I would suggest sharing the T-Bone with 2 people but it was enough for us with the extra sides. Most had dessert and all loved what they ordered. I had the Bomb Alaska which was yum. We were well looked after even though the restaurant was packed. We had a great night, thank you!
Food is good as usual seems to be teething problems with new facility and new staff.
Raw Tuna dish was a letdown as there was a tendon/filament running through it and this would never be served at a sushi restaurant , sad since the price is 5 times what you would pay for this.
Ciao Cielo is superlative in every way. Fantastic service, amazing food and an inspired menu. Everything is awesome - but the chicken liver parfait is really special. Go, you won’t be disappointed!
It was the usual delicious and perfect food that Ciao Ceilo serves but this time in a new fantastic venue. Ciao Celo has found its perfect "home" and my friends and I will certainly be returning. Well done to the Kate, Brian, Christopher and the team. I'm looking forward to lunch in the courtyard as well. Gai
Everything was fantastic the small space was a let down
first time there,
did not disappoint
will most definitely return
fantastic job guys and gals
I have been a previous customer of Ciao and Cielo many years ago. However, I'm back in Melbourne and it is wonderful to come and been able to still enjoy Ciao Cielo. Food Quality, Services and atmosphere is excellent.
Staff were very friendly and the food was tasty. I would have liked more meal options but I was able to find something that interested me. The theme/decor was beautiful.
I’ve eaten at Ciao Cielo several - or maybe even many- times and it has never failed in any way. The food is wonderful - always perfectly prepared and interesting. In December a visiting friend took me there and we ate ox cheek, which was delicious and a first for both of us. It alway gave me an opportunity to move away from the chili crab pasta which I seem to have most times I’m there. The service is also excellent. The wines are interesting and not overpriced, the deserts are sinful - really what more could you ask. Certainly by far the best restaurant in Port Melbourne.
My husband and I were absolutely delighted with our first visit to Ciao Cielo. The welcome was warm, the food delicious and the ambience relaxed. It was also lovely to have my birthday acknowledged by Staff and patrons alike, made for a very enjoyable lunch. We’ve already booked our next visit!
I dine at Ciao Cielo regularly it has never been anything but wonderful. Attentive staff who are extremely knowledgeable & compliment this with their warmth & humour. The food is incredible, causing us to reflect on it & talk about it days after our visit. I feel so lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant so close to home.
Yummy modern interpretations of Italian classics with a terrific Italian wine selection to boot.
Great food, great service and great team.
First time to eat there on a friends recommendation. Christian and the team made us feel like we had been many times!
Great atmosphere with Italian flavour, cosy, noisy. Good food
Amazing lunch. The lamb shoulder was to die for. Beautifully presented. Service was excellent and the decor was beautiful. A hidden local gem.
Brilliant food, incredibly tasty, unbelievably delicious, impeccably presented, great service, peaceful ambience, a perfect experience!
With owners as chef and front-of-house you can see the pride in ownership and attention to customer. A smallish menu but with each offering being appealing. The atmosphere is great - a background hum but not so much you can't have a conversation.
Went to Ciao Ciela for lunch with my son...we enjoyed a delicious three course lunch. Fresh, uncomplicated, creative meals full of flavour. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Just the complete package, easily best restaurant in Port Melbourne.
Service and food was it's usual high standard. Would highly recommended this restaurant to anyone....... one of the best in the Port Melbourne area.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambience and service particularly. Must try the Italian wines from Pulgia.
Enjoyed our Valentine's dinner - always great service who treat us like they've known us for many years (which they have). Great ambiance; great food - I love the Spanner Crab spagetti. Good wines. It's a special occasion restaurant.
Great food, best Lamb I've ever had (albeit a bit small portion). Worth the visit
Had a lovely dinner as always. My favourite restaurant in Port Melbourne.
This is my favourite restaurant in Port Melbourne. Excellent service, ambience and food. The goat casserole is fantastic.
Food, service and ambience was outstanding. Highly recommend
Kate is awesome front of house making everybody feel extremely welcome. Brian's dishes are authentic, fresh, seasonal and a delight to the palette. The wines are reasonably priced. Sardinian beer is fabulous. Ciao Cielo is well worth visiting.
An excellent, small, local restaurant with fantastic, creative food. It's mostly Italian, with modern twist.
lovely evening - food was beautiful! wine choice wonderful and we will eb back soon x
The restaurant is small and has the feel of a family run French bistro. My friend said her leg of goat casserole was the best meal she has had in ages. Will definitely return.
This was our second visit to Ciao Cielo and it was absolutely amazing. The food is exceptional and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates quality food and wants a beautiful dining experience.
Outstanding! have been there about half a dozen times and the standard is always the same.....excellent! The steak is soft and melts in your mouth, the duck aranchini balls are a treat. Excellent service, great attention to detail. Staff always friendly and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience - amazing food, beautiful wine, attentive & caring service and good value.
Would not hesitate to go back
Thanks Kate & her team
The food was innovative yet still comfortable. I mention particularly a BBQ watermelon dish with mozzarella, olives and prosciutto - intended as an entree (which I had as a dessert). One of the best dishes I've had anywhere in recent memory. Alas, it's only a special, but I hope it comes back. The service was very good, if a little rushed when the place started filling up. It's clear there are several regulars to this place, which is a great sign. I will definitely be back.
The ambient was great, a warm welcome from the hostess and great atmosphere. We booked the same day and was nice to know that they were waiting for us. The tables in general are bit closer one each other, so was bit hard to have some privacy. Then the service started. Beautiful wine list and drinks. We got bread with butter with a touch of black salt I think it was.
Then we ordered our entrees. Scallops for my wife and calamari for me. Scallops were perfectly cooked, just they way it was presented make me feel that something was missing. I'd rather called an expensive appetiser instead an entrée. But full of flavour. My entrée was enough, the rockets next to the calamari had this nice dressing, sweet enough for not still the taste of the rocket.
Main were absolutely amazing, nice balance on flavour and quantity and quality.
The dessert was a surprise for my wife ask at last minute and the restaurant were beyond my expectations. Nice details and nice presentation of the dish.
Very recommended for a nice dinner with someone to celebrate an special occasion.
