The food and service are always impeccable. We have been several times now and never come away not happy and fully satisfied.
Always, always a great night out at Ciao Cielo and A’s is the norm these days, it was rocking outside with the fine weather on Saturday night.
Best restaurant in Port Melbourne serving beautiful Italian food and great wines.
Have eaten at Ciao Cielo (and its more casual section Ciao Cucina) several times now and can report that this is the sort of Italian restaurant that everyone needs in their neighbourhood. The menu is quite simple but ingredient driven in the best Italian tradition, and everything is prepared with a great deal of love and attention. Even a simple steak here is something else. Pizzas are great. The Tiramisu is sublime. The service fun and friendly. The winelist well chosen and impressive. Very highly recommended by me.
This was an outstanding lunch, and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. We can't wait to come back.
Had a staff member's birthday lunch celebration in the formal dining room. Great atmosphere and food was extraordinary. Best gnocchi ever!
Apart part it being a little noisy, we had a good meal and good service overall.
A little overpriced in comparison to many other fabulous Melbourne eats. Beautiful building with great outdoors area.
Confusing menus, they brought our salads out with main course?? Had to send main course back. Not really Italian.
50th Birthday with friends and as always a great place to come back to time and again.
Wonderful food, great staff, a real treat to eat at this restaurant. Gets a little noisy, which most probably means that everyone is having a good time.
Food was good but the restaurant was very noisy and didn’t have the intimate feel of the old location.
Good wine list
Service was good and the food was okay but I feel that price for the meal size was a mean!!
Great service from our waiter Mick. Really nice night and the food was lovely
We went for our anniversary, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food is amazing and the building itself has a great vibe.
As usual, Ciao Cielo delivers as the only destination restaurant in Bay Street, Port Melbourne. Professional service, awesome food and a great room to dine in. Never disappoints.
This was my first time to Ciao Cielo. I will definitely be going back again. The restaurant is in a beautiful room, lots of atmosphere. The waitress was great, the wine list is interesting and the food was wonderful. There were 8 of us in a family group celebrating a birthday. The noise level was moderate, so was easy to have a conversation. Everybody had an entree and a main, and all plates were empty when when they went back to the kitchen. The menu had a lot of great choices and my rainbow trout was cooked to perfection.
Excellent food - fresh and tasty fish cooked in a creative way - friendly service - diverse wine list
Love everything about Ciao Cielo, the level of service and exquisite food are always excellent
Great new location, fantastic bar and great new menu. It’s not very intimate, and can be a little noisy with a full restaurant, but great for groups and celebrations. The food is very creative and delicious and the service is friendly and classy.
Amazing! 5 Stars! Book in!
It was lovely food but the vibrating air conditioning was very off putting!
Second time we have dined. Great food, service and ambience.
The food and service was great, however on a 38 degree day the lack of air conditioning and especially on the leather couches was very uncomfortable to say the least.
No one at the table could fault the food. Every mouthful delighted the taste buds. Extensive wine list and exceptional coffee
The food and service were excellent. The overall ambience was enjoyable.
Beautiful space. Rustic, with high ceilings, yet still cosy. Outstanding and attentive service. We tried the T-bone a squid ink linguine. Both cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and most importantly, delicious. The pannacotta was so pretty and yummy. Fair wine list, nice coffee. Would definitely recommend to others and would not hesitate to return!
Great restaurant but was observing the manager who was extremely mean to her staff and some customers from the outside bar. She looked like she was in a really bad mood and spoke extremely impolitely. I felt bad for her team.
Chicken liver parfait entree was very good, however the gnocchi with ragu main was disappointing. The gnocchi had great texture but the sauce had little flavour and the pangrattato just added an odd grittiness. The service was great.
Delicious. Relaxed. Fun. Friendly. Efficient. Professional. Great atmosphere, food and wine.
Possibly the best food in Port Melbourne at the moment.
We had a wonderful dinner! Food was delicious and great services
Good quality Italian food , one of the better Italian Restaurants around Melbourne
All in all we had a great night and will be back
A lovely menu and outstanding service! We recently visited Ciao Cielo for a birthday celebration and although we all enjoyed our meal and were well looked after, it was very noisy and difficult to hold conversation. Despite the noise level, we will definately return and enjoyed the experience.
Ciao is never a let down; always delish experience! x
It was the first time we went and loved it
Fabulous food , fabulous service
Definitely coming back !!!
The gnochi very disappointing - it was soggy & had large chunks of pear which resembled canned pears. The rest of the food was average at best.
I heard about your restaurant on the Postcards TV show.
I was absolutely glad I made a dinner booking and had incredible food with great service.
Will go again for sure.
Poor service, cold and lack lustre wait staff. The experience was in no way inviting. Will not be returning.
Two small servings of spaghetti with crab and one glass of Prosecco – $90 Tasted good, but too pricey. Unlikely to return
