Second visit to Christophers. First time had surf & turf, was fantastic. Came for lunch this time, same fantastic service, best burger i've ever had. Highly recommend.
Great experience and lovely lovely place. Waiters are attentive but not too overwhelming. I didn’t put 5 stars because the Place is nice but the food is just fine, I had eggs royal and the muffin was so so, however I also tried the (famous) pancakes and they were good (very light so you need to liked them like that) but the French toast were amazing and worth coming back. So I would say 3-4 stars for the food
Our experience at Christopher’s was wonderful. We were looking for a fun spot to get brunch, and Christopher’s delivered by providing delicious food with fabulous service and wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely come again!
Always a great meal at Christopher’s, have taken a number of friends there and they have all returned with their friends. The staff are also really helpful and friendly
The food was fresh, presented beautifully and tasted great. The tuna starter was outstanding. It would have been 5 stars but sadly the regular chips that came with the steak were distinctly average. No other complaints at all. Good service too.
Lovely setting quiet and tanquil away from the bussle outside I think the set menu should be changed eg we have had cod cakes on there for years
Great in every way but a bit pricey. Great service, quick with orders, food was great.
Unfriendly waitress (blonde hair pony tail on shift Saturday morning 13/7).
Tasteless food. Steak was poorly cooked. Eggs were overdone after asking for them to be overeasy. Sweetcorn fritters were dry and tasteless like they had been microwaved.
Decided against the French toast (one of the main reasons why we visited) as saw other people having them.. They looked overcooked and unappetising.
Worst place for food in London.
Really pleasant evening. Food was lovely. Great place to sit and eat. A little over priced
Prompt and friendly service. Excellent fresh food. Have been a few times and would always go again.
Pre theatre dinner
Great experience- lovely food and great service as always - remains one of my favourite restaurants in London!
Thoroughly enjoyed having brunch at Christopher’s. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and wonderful service. What’s not to love!
Customer service was amazing. Friendly waitress. It was my partner’s birthday and he enjoyed the desert with happy birthday decor. It was an excellent night. Thanks very much
Despite the food being tasty, the service we experienced was not up to standard. One of the mains we ordered was meant to come with chunky chips but they forgot to bring us the chips at first. When we then asked about it, they brought us fries instead of the chips they were meant to come with. After we realised they made a mistake, they said to just leave the fries and gave us the impression that they were going to bring us the chips too. By this time, we were all finished with our food and when we asked for the last time about the chips, they told us that they were not coming because they decided to replace the chips with the fries instead. This was very poorly handled and they did not even apologise for it. Due to the poor service we experienced and the food being quite pricy, we don't feel that it's worth a second visit.
The Food was amazing, especially the Chocolate Brioche French Toast. The staff was very attentive. Loved it. I was glad the dining experience impressed my friends.
Thank you for the email asking for my opinion to write a review about my experience at Christopher’s. I normally do not write review but because of my experience I feel obliged to.
My booking was for Saturday the 6th of June at 11:30. I really had high expectations as there has been a buzz about it online. I had brought my friend whom I hadn’t seen for a long time and this was meant to be a special day hence the choice of restaurant to dine at.
My friend ordered the lobster sandwich which has bacon but because of religious reasons she asked that the bacon be excluded in hers. The order was taken and moments later we were served. Upon receiving the food, my friend asked again for a second time to ensure that bacon was not included in her order and was assured it wasn’t.
It is very disappointing that she was assured that her order did not include bacon while it did. Such mistake should not be happening is such a big establishment as Christopher’s as the price paid for the food and service is on the high end. This incident is very serious as eating bacon is against our religion. Had this been an allergy issue the situation could have been life threatening. For example if the ingredient was an invisible ingredient i.e fish oil, and the dietary requirement is a food allergy this error could have had huge implications.
I am taking time out of my busy schedule to write this up as a constructive criticism to potentially save lives. Please try and identify where there was a lapse in communication and make the necessary improvements are made to avoid such mistakes from ever happening.
A fly sat on my friend’s food which was really annoying but we appreciated the fact that they told us not to pay for that and gave us something else we can order instead
Very nice restaurant with amazing ice cream choices. Only one complaint - when I asked if the pear and almond tart could be heated, I was just told 'no'.
Extraordinary fresh ingredients. Loved the scallops
Food was all right, with some exceptional touches on the Starters, but some disappointments on the mains and sides - the half lobster didn't have much meat, the pamiggiano truffle fries hardly had any parmiggiano or truffle, the onion rings were way too thin and dry (and so were the fries), the garlic butter sauce was just bitter and hardly had any garlic taste to it.
Desserts were EXCEPTIONAL!
The service was good, with some hiccups (they repeatedly forgot to bring us a few extra items we ordered, then we had to wait long until they brought them).
The cocktails from the bar were very good, although a bit thin on the alcohol content. When one buys an alcoholic cocktail, one expects to actually be able to taste and feel the alcohol going into the bloodstream! ;-)
Christophers was recommended by a friend and what an excellent recommendation. We had blackened salmon which was absolutely Devine. After we went to the Martini bar for cocktails- will definitely be back.
Service food and ambience was 10/10
Fabulous food in a great location. We were there for a pre show dinner, and the value for money for the three course special was exceptional. Not just the value, but the quality. Add to that an impeccable level of service and Christopher’s is a sure fire winner
We dined at Christopher’s pre-theatre. It happened to be an unusually hot 93f during the day but thankfully the dining room was air-conditioned.
We decided on a main course and desert, everyone in our party enjoyed their food which was nicely presented and cooked to perfection.
The staff were attentive - without ever being intrusive or over familiar - and this is definitely a restaurant we will return to - recommended.
The staff were very friendly & the food was amazing!
Waitress opened the wine and spilled it on our table, my wife’s arm, dress and hair!
My side of sweet potato mashed was served after o was done with my steak!
Great food and brilliant service, will definitely go again!
Lovely meal, theatre menu, good choice of menu, great location
Everything was very good indeed until it came to the desserts. One of our party was served with half an individual chocolate tart as part of his desert. When asked about why half a tart had been served, our waiter replied that “it was by weight”. It just seemed the oddest thing to me and my companions. Why not use smaller tart cases and serve a whole one?
Best Bloody Mary in London! Small portions for the price. Service was efficient if not warm.
My daughter chose Christophers to take my husband to for Father’s Day. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we sat I. The downstairs bar which was very busy. I was pleased they told us we were upstairs. The service was excellent. The food very good. I chose the fritters which were ok. We all had something different We finished off sharing a pancake which was definitely the best part of the meal! Drinks not cheap but nowhere in London is.
Lovely setting, great service and delicious food. The pancakes were light and fluffy and accompanied beautifully with maple cured bacon. The Parmesan truffle fries were crispy and flavoursome
We were in London to see a show at the Savoy Theatre & booked Christopher’s on Open table & was very pleased with our choice.
The service was slow to begin with. Pancake had egg shells in it. They also forgot to bring out one of my order. Other than that it was okay. The food that they did bring out was nice and pancake was nice until shell incident.
The food was brilliant! Up to a high standard and very filling. However, I felt a bit rushed in eating and relaxing as they warned us that we can only stay for a maximum of one hour and a half because we came five minutes late. I understand it gets quite busy, however, I feel as if though it was not a relaxing environment to sit down and enjoy the food properly.
The room is spacious and nicely fitted out. If lucky you hve a nice view on Waterloo bridge. The staff is friendly and helpfull, and know their thing. The food was first class, that beautiful blending of tastes, achieving something special. The meal was not cheap, but it was more than worth it.
Very good food, as always. Excellent quiet unobtrusive service. Certainly not cheap, but then one would not expect cheap in this type of of establishment.
Great all round restaurant, staff where friendly and always approached us with a beautiful smile.. cant beat that!! Our steaks where cooked to perfection and service was delivered promptly
.perfect as it was a pre theatre dinner :))
Thanks for also making the extra effort being my wife's birthday.. we had a great time ..
As a person who studied tourism and worked in 5-star hotel I can tell you that the service was excellent, all staff including the receptionist were kind and presentable. They made me happy at the end with little surprise for my birthday 🎁 which was on them. Most of the fine-dining restaurants never give you something if you don’t pay even if it a special occasion. Christhopher’s is not one of them. This was the first time I’ve been there but definitely I’ll come back.
