Thanks Buddha Management
food was enjoyable and waitress was fun. A bit overpriced for the ramen but we all enjoyed what we had.
Great food, amazing service. The staff were helpful and friendly.
I’m a regular😊love the food and cocktails. Bring back the burger 🍔
We enjoyed the new version of CB. It is more relaxed and has a friendlier and inclusive environment.
The raw fish was so delicious!!!!!
Loved the monorail too!
Suggested improvements could be made to:
• the staff’s response when requesting for attention from on-screen tablet. There were times our request was not met.
• handling of beverage (ie. sake) knowledge. We were given wrong information when requesting for a particular sake. It would have been more helpful if the staff attending to us (who didn’t know much about sake) directed our query to a more informed staff member rather than dismissing our query with a “we don’t serve that sake” response.
This is one of my favourite Melbourne restaurants. Food is consistently high quality and tasty and I’m always so well looked after by staff. Location is great for tourists, but equally lovely for locals who’d like to dine in the centre of the city. A good cocktail list too.
Lucas was the most amazing host. His humour and energy were contagious the lovely lady serving our table was also charming. The staff made this an amazing experience.
The staff were lovely and very entertaining! They had good knowledge of the dishes so that we could cater for specific dietary requirements and likes/dislikes. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The food is exquisite. The service is quicker than expected. The Japanese staff member who looked after us was such a lovely woman. Joy all-around.
The food was fresh and an interesting mix of tastes. Service, as always, was friendly and helpful. I love everything about Chocolate Buddha.
Always a good venue. Great variety of excellent food.
Great food, great staff and great location. Will go again ... and again.
Great food, staff were knowledgeable of food and very friendly!
Will go back for sure!
Always a favourite when in the city centre. The food here is beautiful, and the service is always great. And of course the location is fabulously convenient. Booking is recommended - absolutely necessary around any meal times.
Great food. Great service. God value. Will definitely recommend to friends and family
Chocolate Buddha is our go to place after Silent Disco in the city for a meal that is always of the highest quality, exemplary service and a convenient location. The option of outside seating with heaters is perfect for a group of friends who all want to converse without background noise.
Yes. I love it, even tho' we were sitting in a very noisy area this visit.
Great fresh food, excellent location for a quick bite before a show, friendly staff
Food was good. Timing of main course delivered so long after finishing entree was below average and put pressure on us rushing to finish before going to the MSO. The renovated layout since we went previously was much more intimate for those not wanting to adhere communal eating style. Nice one.
Ready enjoy my lunch with friends, the new decor is quieter and we were able to chat easily. The food was delicious and reasonable price. Only issues was the confusion between still or sparkling water.
Amazing restaurant! We travel to Melbourne from nsw a couple of times a year, and Chocolate Buddha is always at the top of our "to do" list!
The food is always first class, the restaurant is stunning, and the service is exceptional!
Chocolate buddha is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in the city. I recommend it to anybody who will listen. The food, service and location are all amazing.
I love Chocolate Buddah, it is one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne that I have been frequenting for years. The food is incredible and the staff are fabulous. Thanks guys and cannot recommend highly enough :)
Really good, authentic Japanese cuisine. Had the pork belly rolls, edamame, nori chicken, sweet potato fritters and okonomiyaki and they were all delicious. The yuzu drinks were very nice too. Make sure you book as it fills up quickly
Chocolate Buddah never disapoints. I have taken several groups of out of town friends here and they have loved it. I've also gone for dinner prior to a show at the Arts Centre on several occasions and had a light meal and cocktail and the staff made sure I got my meal in plenty of time to get across to the Arts Centre for my show. It is the perfect place for a lovely snack or a full dining experince and did I mentioned the cocktails and the sake!!!??. On this last occassion my friends and I shared some starters and mains and the staff were so accommodating and made recommendations and brought us extra bowls and side plates without us even having to ask. In my eyes they can do no wrong. I love that the staff are a diverse group of people and cultures with energetic and engaging personalities. Some people who are highly sensitive to noise might find it a little noisy but I love the vibe and somehow the acoustics seem to work even when the entire restuarant is filled to the brim so I've never found it an issue. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I'll keep going back for more of their scrumptuous, fresh cuisine and great service.
A little pricey for what you get. Nice ambience
Food is good and my friends and i had fun. We’ll be back.
We made a last minute late-night Valentines booking at Chocolate Buddha as we had been at the NGV where the wait for food was incredibly long and we would much prefer to have a sit down meal at a table where we could chat and enjoy ourselves. Chocolate Buddha delivered! I knew they had a sushi train but we were sat at a table for 2 which was lovely even though the table behind us was incredibly loud. Thankfully they left soon after we arrived. A couple of the dishes my partner wanted were unavailable due to being popular and selling out so he was disappointed but everything we did get - 5 dishes to share - was great. We went for a mix; salty edamame, tempura pumpkin roll, salmon maki roll, Korean fried chicken and nasu dengaku all washed down with a Sake flight. Staff were incredibly friendly, understanding and knowledgeable. Keep up the great work!
Came here for some delicious and safe coeliac food. We left completely delighted.
Great and tasty gluten free menu for coeliacs. Friendly, speedy service, really good for casual dining with a really accessible location.
We keep coming back for the obvious reasons, a good value, nice food, friendly staff. A lovely experience, thank you.
Great restaurant- excellent service, very tasty food & good ambience! Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friends visiting from overseas.
The four of us absolutely loved the food and the first rate service. We particularly enjoyed the eggplant as well as the fried lotus root. Although we did find it a little noisy it was not a turnoff and we will definitely be back to try other dishes which looked particularly appealing. Will definitely be recommending the restaurant to friends
Chocolate Buddha is even better after the reno of last year!
The atmosphere, feeling of space and views outside over the city all make for an ideal city dining location. The food has also become more sassy in the new version of this Restaurant. Hiro and Lucas lead a team of waiters who are all very friendly and attentive in the service you enjoy:)
We always love Chocolate Buddha. Great service, delicious food and just a fun night out.
Always leave the place with a smile on my face and a full belly
I love love loved Chocolate Buddha. Food was lovely and service excellent. We were running late for the theatre and the manager brought the food out quickly for us. Excellent
Even when we were late we were given a complimentary phone call and treated so well when we eventually got there. The service of just lovely and the food was delicious. The Elderflower Martini was sublime.
Delightful atmosphere, wonderful waiting staff and delicious food!
All of the food was wonderful and thanks to Hiro for looking after us!
Chocolate Buddha Is always consistent in terms of food quality and service. A no -fuss kind if experience. A good place to catch up with friends or family especially for lunch.
