About CHISWICK - Woollahra
Located in the picturesque Chiswick Gardens, CHISWICK Restaurant has a menu that has been designed for sharing - showcasing the simplicity of fresh produce with the food reflecting the changing seasons. The heart of CHISWICK is it’s kitchen garden where much of the produce for the menu is grown. CHISWICK - Woollahra Ratings and Reviews
Wife and I were celebrating our one year anniversary. Funny it was where we celebrated when we got engaged. Love the menu. Always changing, using beautiful seasonal ingredients. A little pricey but well worth it. Not somewhere where i would go all the time. But everytime the foods is wonderful. Had the pork neck, never has that cut tasted so good. Wife had the crab pasta which was just as good maybe even better.
Keep up the goood work guys! Happy dining
I had planned a date night out and we sat outside with the heaters on looking at the water feature. We started with the tuna sashimi, which was really fresh and delicious. Ordered the lamb to share and vegetables to go with it. Food was outstanding, served in good time. Wine list was well chosen to complement the food. Desert menu was short and sweet, but just what you need. We ordered the chocolate hazelnut torte and the sorbet and were very happy with the choices. All in all a very pleasant night. Staff answered all the questions we had. Lovely night
The three of us arrived on time for our booking but we still had to wait for our table.
Reasonable service but entrees arrived before the wine we ordered. My grilled octopus entree was over cooked and tough. Otherwise food was ok but not fine dining. Good for a casual meal.
a Flexitarian and a Carnivore dining out for a special occasion..... and Chiswick ticked all the boxes. Fantabulous food [every dish on the menu appealed]; one of Sydney's top waitpersons [female, by the way; spacious, comfortable and cozy on a freezing night; two seatings booked out on a weeknight yet there was no hint that we should move on after our timeframe had enjoyably exhausted itself. A great room, attentive and knowledgeable staff, unbelivably great tucker... indeed a special occasion!
Loved everything about the restaurant and service. Food was great. Just wasn't happy with the fact that I was charged$30 for still water. Its not about the money but I was only given options of still and sparkling. I should have been given 3 options. I spent $400 so $30 was not an issue don't appreciate tricks like that.
Matt Moran has contributed a true asset to the community and Sydney at large here with reasonably priced, beautifully presented offerings that are most importantly responsibly sourced (mostly from his family farm and the garden on the restaurant premises).
It's a shining example of what will prove to be timeless and successful I believe.
I thought everything was pretty basic. Even the lamb shoulder which I had been recommended wasn't presented well, there was no place for the bones, and the eggplant searched with it was very oily.
We also asked twice for water and struggled to get attention to receive our bill.
It seemed like the staff had too many tables and were unable to keep up.
A lovely long lunch. Great food. We had the set menu and it just kept coming. Not rushed. They waited tilll we finished a course and the next arrived with a suitable break. Great friendly service. Absolutely recommend it for the space inside, lovely outlook and fab food.
Fantastic food, service & beautiful setting in Chiswick Gardens. It was lovely to find a fine dining experience that caters for kids. I have never seen my fussy 2 year old eat so quickly - he had the tomato pasta from the kid's menu, which they promptly served during entree (so no waiting for impatient kids). They seated us away from the tables with adults. The staff was friendly & made my husband's birthday special with a treat for dessert. Thanks Chiswick!
The waitress was lovely, great atmosphere and most of the food was very good except the lamb. Their "signature dish" was very dry, maybe from the lunch service. We advised the waitress and the lady at the front but they didn't seem to care. We were told the chef was too busy. For those prices we expected better.
Outstanding food, served calmly and efficiently by friendly staff. We were fortunate to have a window table with a view over the garden, which added to the atmosphere.
For this birthday lunch, taking the "easy way out" and ordering the collective menu was probably the best decision we made, because there was so much and it was so good ...
there were 6 of us for lunch , I had rung earlier and asked for a table on the side near the window , on arrival we were shown to a table that was in the middle , behind us was a large table of people with a couple of tiny children , the children were very board and a bit noisy. I noticed that there were a number of tabled on the side by the window that remained EMPTY for the duration of our visit.
Service was a bit slow we had to ask for another bottle of champagne 3 times before it arrived .
