About CHISWICK - Woollahra
Located in the picturesque Chiswick Gardens, Matt Moran's Chiswick Restaurant has a menu that has been designed for sharing - showcasing the simplicity of fresh produce with the food reflecting the changing seasons. The heart of Chiswick is it’s kitchen garden where much of the produce for the menu is grown. The emphasis is on where the food comes from; the produce picked in the morning just in time to be on the plate by lunchtime.

CHISWICK - Woollahra Ratings and Reviews
Great venue. Great service. Great cocktails. Tasty appetizers: beetroot salad, zucchini flower. The focaccia bread was a little too oily still tasty. Steak was a little fatty. Grilled prawns were good. I was disappointed by the duck dish: too cooked and a little too greasy. Also disappointed to have greens cooked in oil and w a lot of pepper. Lastly I had a tea which was supposed to come with petits fours and instead it came with chocolates.
We went to Chiswick Restaurant on the recommendation from the Lonely Planet travel book. As such, I was expecting it to be good but not necessarily outstanding. Every item we ordered was thought prepared, beautifully presented and, simply put, delicious. Our wait was very knowledgeable and have us wonderful suggestions. If I lived in Sydney, this would probably be my favorite restaurant to go to!
This place has changed my perspective on food. I’m now more keen to go to a nicer place with great food quality and service due to our experience last night. We’ll be back thanks to the incredible meal we had and kind service team. Thank you for a great date night!
We would like to see more variety with desserts. Chocolate Fondant (Anything chocolatey is always a winner).
Would love to see roast potatoes as a side dish
it would go so well with your share menu.
Your style chips I/We simply do not like.
On the two occasions that we have visited Staff have been absolutely fantastic. Only downfall we seen to always get placed next to a group table it ruins the dining experience.:(even though we have asked not to be place close to group tables.
Fabulous embience . 5 star treatment by all the staff and special mention to Fleur and our waiter Terry . Amazing team !
The food is so fresh, beautiful flavours and presentation. I love how the menu changes with the seasons
Our daughters 13th birthday so a dessert with happy birthday and special treatment.
Chiswick is our birthday restaurant and we rave about it to our friends
Extremely disappointing. I will never visit this restaurant again. I went when it first opened some years ago and was very hopeful it would be as good. Wrong! It was extraordinarily expensive with $48 for two martinis, the side plate of chips were tasteless and burnt, my husband’s main course of linguini with pippis was lacking in flavour, my son’s steak was thrown on the plate and covered with some sort of lettuce. The bill was exorbitant for the quality of food. The service was only adequate. When we first arrived a waiter introduced himself and said he would return to talk us through the menu... that was the last we saw of him! The tables were shoved together and the noise was overwhelming. Never again and I will not recommend it to anyone I know. What a shame for a restaurant that started so promisingly.
The moment we entered CHISWICK we were greeted with such a genuine welcome. We were seated at the window, the decor is relaxed but stylish. We received such friendly service. The food was sumptuous and the timing between courses was perfect. The entire evening felt special and I believe that they achieve this for every table. It was a lovely experience.
We dined at Catalinas for lunch but we looked forward to Chiswick more. And I must say comparing the two establishments there was no comparison. Everything at Catalinas was superlative - ambience, food, service. Maybe it was a busy night (30 Dec). The location was beautiful but the food lacked any wow factor. The staff looked withered and tiredly groomed, the kitchen staff looked exhausted and everyone was running around. We were very disappointed with our meal including the desserts.
It was our 44years wedding anniversary celebration,it was a very special night the staff made us feel very welcome and served us a small celebration sweet. This restaurant was called Pruniers when we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversay in 1975. Food was excellent.
I highly recommend this restaurant to other diners, I had a client meeting there which was convenient, great food, we were able to talk business and have an exceptional meal that everyone enjoyed. My clients had not been there before and were extremely impressed by my choice (BEING FROM Melbourne)by the food, the atmosphere, the location and the price!
