About
A birthday present - lovely food, wine, company and staff - thank you.
I was disappointed with the food. The location, ambience and wine list were excellent.
I have attended a corporate event for dinner and the food was much better.
Fabulous staff and food - great venue for all ages.
Always great, service attentive but unobtrusive, view is amazing
Lunched with a friend, catching up after a long time overseas. Food and service were lovely, especially their own grown salads, falling off the bone lamb & tasty winter veg. Caught a fine exhibition afterwards.
Just good food. All so tasty. Bit noisy but once the food arrives you hardly notice.
Desserts so delicious too
This place is an absolute gem. The food is seasonal and delicious. Love it.
Food could have been excellent. Poor attitude of waitress and disinclination to accommodate preferences let it down.
Really excellent food and everything else was fine.
Great atmosphere and the food was very nice. I highly recommend to give their lamb shoulder a try; it is very delicious.
Love the food and ambience here. It is always busy and as along as you can look at the view (which most tables can) you don’t notice the rush behind you. Lovely lunch
GREAT SERVICES, FOOD IS ALSO AMAZING. WE HAVE BEEN THERE MANY TIMES, NEVER DISAPPOINTED US.
Excellent selection of interesting options. Offering small plates is especially good at lunch time and gives an opportunity to try a range of flavors without eating too much. Lovely vegetables and herbs used across dishes. As a person who mostly eats vegetables and fish the menu choices were excellent for me with many dishes i could have selected. Service prompt efficient and pleasant.
Good food and ambience with lovely views of the park
Enjoyed lunch there so much this week I’m going there again next week.
The food was great, but hard for a work lunch with the set menu as the food took a while to come out, over an hour for the mains so I had to scoff the mains down and leave before dessert.
Great food and service. Definitely will come back.
We enjoyed lunch after seeing an exhibition. We were celebrating my Mum's 75th birthday. Exhibition at the gallery followed by such at the Chiswick was a great day out.
Thanks
Love the ambience and vibe of this restaurant which is inside the NSW Art Gallery itself.
Lots of light and glass along with a great outlook over Woolloomooloo.
Food and service excellent. I think it is a fantastic weekend lunch venue.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful space to overlook Sydney Harbour. Highly recommend it.
Amazing food and space, our waiter was a little slow with drinks which was a shame I had to chase up (food arrived before bottle of wine did :|), but everything was delightful
Nice lunch, very poor service from some of the waitstaff.
Great views, ambience and service. Before or after, you get see outstanding art.
Fantastic food, great ambience, terrific service. Wonderful attention to detail.
Fantastic and unique food. Great wine too.
I was disappointed in the food. I had snapper. OK Fresh but vegetables did not enhance but detracted from fish. Chargrilled veg was too heavy. And did not taste good. Overall dish was boring and worse.
My husband had battered flathead. This is a delicate flavoured fish done in a heavy overcooked batter with overcooked chips.
Petit fours consisted of a piece of strong gelatine flavoured marshmallow. Not good and so little.
I had eaten there before having focaccia and a beetroot salad. All OK
We had an enjoyable lunch.
This is written through the filter of this being quite highly priced - $300 for 2. It wasn't good enough for that number. Not that it mattered to the well-heeled crowd eating there. Basically what you get is hotel food - and not a great hotel. The staff were fine but having to work too hard to be really onnit.
i ordered snapper which was watery and very disappointing particularly because this is a pricey restaurant. I assume the fish had been frozen. The sides were ok.
Perfect balance of flavours & textures on the plate. The service was spot-on as always.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was extremely tasty and well prepared. I loved the experience of the Restaurant. Staff were friendly and informed.
This is the second time I’ve done the set lunch menu with exhibition tickets
A lager. It’s great value for money and the food is fabulous. Found the service rather slow on this occasion but they were busy, even so, towards the end when trying to get my bill and pay, it had quietened down considerably but still took longer than necessary
Octopus dish smelt and tasted burnt...not chargrilled! Snapper dish was overcooked. Linguine pippies and burratto salad were stand outs.
the perfect afternoon stop while at the museum. They have fantastic service and food and a great wine list.
It was a little disappointing
A pre-Christmas get together with friends. A lovely location, with a different aspect of Sydney. The food was varied and tasty. The service friendly but not too casual. Its a bit noisy but what are you going to do?
I was looking forward to taking an English visitor to lunch and the art exhibition but we were both horrified by how noisy it was - we could barely hear each other through the meal and could not wait to leave. The staff were lovely and food adequate although over priced.
The food was delicious and the setting and view is lovely, however the service was fairly average. The restaurant was not booked out but the service was slow (had to ask twice for our coffees as they did not come after we ordered them, had to chase someone down in order to pay our bill). Also they seemed to have a very strange champagne shortage - two of the bottles listed on the menu were not available and a third was available but not cold so we had to wait for it to be chilled. It was the week before Christmas so understandably they've probably been busy lately, but this seemed very odd for a fine dining restaurant!
Great service and food!
We chose Chiswick at the Gallery for our work Christmas lunch. Service was quick and efficient and we couldn't fault the dishes. Overall it was a delightful experience - a little loud due to the big Christmas function going on at the other end of the room - but nice and buzzy. Our only gripe was the long roundabout trip to the bathroom on another floor. It would be good to have conveniences located closer to the restaurant, especially for older or less mobile people.
