All three courses were amazing! The staff was kind and knowledgeable! Definitely will make a return trip from VA to NY for the purpose of eating at Chimichurri Grill again!
I have eaten here several times. The space is small, but somehow I never feel cramped. The decor is simple and serene. Lots of white--white paint on the walls, white tablecloths. The service is friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. The food is excellent--there is a focus on meat, often served with various sauces. When I was here recently, one friend had the hangar steak, another had the skirt steak, I had a flattened, very tender, filet. All of us were very happy with our choices. We had grilled calamari to start and they were chewy but not rubbery and very tasty. Lots of choices for sides. Long wine list, organized red/white, and by prices ascending. They also advertise and serve fancy cocktails, which we didn't try. We drank a very reasonable malbec by the glass and were very happy. Because it's a small space, and it's New York, and we ate there pre-theater the noise level was high, but it wasn't out of control. No loud background music. I really like this place.
Cozy and quiet with excellent service. Went on a Saturday previous to Matinee. Enjoyed the gazpacho, beef crepes and hamburgesa.
Muy buena Carne
I'm a New Yorker, a foodie, cook and traveler. I thought the restaurant was fantastic with the exception of the regular salad. Usually bad bread and or bad salad it's downhill from there. Although the regular salad was not great at all the ceviche, fish and hanger steak were fantastic. The french fries were fantastic as well as the veggies.
Great, personable service with outstanding authentic Argentinian food. Excellent wine list. The restaurant was not busy on a Monday late evening at 11 pm and they were very accommodating.
Our go-to place for an authentic Argentine meal.
This place is amazing from the service to the food to wine selection, the place exceeded my expectations. It’s pricey but worth every single cent.
Fair warning it is a bit pricey, but so worth it. Outstanding experience from drinks, appetizers, entrees, to dessert. Fantastic food
Food is decent, but nothing related with the high price!!!
Family get together Nice staff we will be back close to threater
We went before an early theater date. They were very accommodating to our timeline. We found the staff very friendly and chatty. Food was tasty and perfectly prepared. I wanted to return the next night for the ribeye! Prices were quite reasonable for a Manhattan restaurant. Overall, a nice experience.
Second time eating here and have no complaints.
Service was fantastic, food great!
4 of us at dinner:
We had beef and chicken empanadas and meatballs to start - both great.
We all ordered red meat (it's an Argentinian restaurant!!) for our entrees including the flattened filet Mignon and a 24oz ribeye. All steaks ordered were requested at medium rare and came out perfectly.
Chimichurri sauces are so delicious!!!
Also ordered sauted kale and spinach and grilled zucchini as sides.
Food was good, but nothing special and certainly nothing to justify the high prices. I'll try to remember to give this place a miss next time.
Wonderful food and lovely service!
This spot was recommended to me. It's great, and I recommend it to anyone, anytime, but it is perfect for a post show dinner.
Just the BEST!! Fell in love with this place about 6 years ago on a whim. We never go anyplace else when we are in the city! Cozy. Intimate. Great wine. Superb food. Excellent service! Exceptional on every way!!
Nice way to spend my birthday with my family. Very nice experience! Staff made sure everything was taken care of accordingly. Thank you guys!
Had a wonderful graduation celebration. Food was excellent and we were very well cared for. Gracious and warm ambiance.
Most disgusting food ever! The grilled octopus was barely grilled and covered with a slimey film and the most disgusting octopus I’ve ever had anywhere! The skirt steak covered with a fatty film and the filet mignon wasn’t any better they definitely buy the cheapest meat they can find DO NOT Eat here! I literally threw away $140 STAY AWAY you’ve been warned
Excellent food as usual.Pleasant and clean interior
Server friendly but totally over his head.
Clients had to help him get organized !!
We will come back
As always, food was excellent - *. The reasons for the overall lower rating: (1). The service was incredibly slow. We waited at least 30 minutes for appetizers & 1 hour for our entrees. (2) We reserved a table after the theatre crowd was gone to reduce the noise level, but there was a table of 6 or so clearly drunk patrons that were literally yelling - not talking- and the staff did nothing to quiet them down. It made any conversation impossible for us & the whole evening very unpleasant. Chimmichurri has been one of our favorites but this experience has soured us on returning.
The staff was very attentive to my daughter’s birthday, and even surprised her with a candle in a dessert plus serenade! The food was wonderful as always, and we had a delightful evening. Muchísimas gracias a todos.
a little on the small side, and on the noisy side--not the ideal combination. Service was hard to nail down--had to assert myself quite a bit as waitstaff seemed to be interested in hanging out than serving. Nonetheless, food was excellent and creative and cocktails were good
Great food and great service. A friendly and delicious option in the Theater district.
Delicious... grilled romaine, steak done perfectly... wine good value. Highly recommend.
Outstanding food with a glass of a delightful Malbec! Service was professional and courteous
Nice cosy restaurant. Meat was lovely and compared to others reasonably priced. Ambience was ok, but when a group turn up the noise level did get a little distracting. Before that was nice
The waitress was an absolute pleasure and the food was really good. We tried the steak and it was cooked to perfection!
The only downside to our experience was the way the chef came out the kitchen to yell/curse at the delivery guy. Other than that phenomenal place
Best place in Theatre District
Great food and service
The restaurant is very tiny, but super super cute and romantic. Came here on date night right before seeing a broadway show (reservations were for 6:15 and we were out by 7:30). The service is a little on the slower end strictly because they are very busy with only 2/3 waiters. The food was delicious, cannot recommend the empanadas enough. I will be honest, I was a bit disappointed in the ribeye (the special for the night). As a steak-lover, Argentinian beef is supposed to be a big deal and honestly, it was a little dry and tough. Overall, probably would not recommend getting the $68 ribeye as other steakhouses will give you a tastier and more tender ribeye. But would definitely recommend coming here in general as my boyfriend loved their chilean sea bass (another special) and the other foods around the restaurant spelled heavenly.
EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE! THIS IS A VERY SMALL RESTAURANT SO RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST! WE HAD THE GRILLED ROMAINE SALAD , WHICH WAS EXCELLENT. MY WIFE AND I EACH HAD SKIRT STEAKS, SERVED WITH THE BEST CHIMICHURRI SAUCE ON THE PLANET. THE GARLIC FRENCH FRIES WERE ALSO EXCELLENT: MY WIFE CANNOT STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM. THE GRILLED CAULIFLOWER WAS AN EXCELLENT SIDE DISH.
WE INFORMED OUR WAITER OF A TIME CONSTRAINT, AS WE HAD THEATRE TICKETS. HE MADE SURE THAT THE ORDERS WERE DELIVERED TO US ON TIME , IN A WAY THAT WE NEVER FELT RUSHED. WE HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME SITUATION ELSEWHERE , AND FOUND THAT USING THE WORD "RUSH" MEANT FOR THE STAFF TO BRING EVERYTHING AT ONCE ( SUCH AS, APPETIZERS WITH THE MAINS). OUR WAITER AT CHIMICHURRI GRILL TIMED EVERYTHING PERFECTLY!
WE HAVE BEEN TO THIS RESTAURANT MANY TIMES, AS IT IS VERY CONVENIENT TO THE BROADWAY THEATRE DISTRICT. YOU WILL ALSO FIND THAT THEATRE DISTRICT PARKING LOTS ARE A LITTLE LESS EXPENSIVE ON THE WEST SIDE . (GET THE "SPOT HERO"APP. )
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Very happy with the great food and service. Small and intimate dining room. Pleased to have found this gem close to theatre district.
Food and service were amazing!! I only eat grass-fed meat and was so glad to be able to have that there.
Small hidden Gem. Our waiter was very dedicated and attentive. Food was great and we would definitely return!!
Good steak offerings and variety of menu offerings. A little confusing at first arrival with staff not quite
"together" but once organized, all was good service and good food. A small venue so if you want to spread out or have a group, this might not be the best choice. Lovely for "a deux"
One of the best steaks I have eaten. The service was fantastic
Arrived 1/2 hour early and was able to be promptly seated. Waiter was friendly and courteous. Wine and dessert were delish.
It is a very intimate place. We had a 5:15 reservation, which gave us plenty of time to relax and get to out 8 pm show. Terrific menu with great variety.
