Went to Chima’s for a special day. We had a reservation and got there on time for our reservation but had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We got the table closer to the entrance. My wife asked to move when we saw a table get up but the host who seated us said he wasn’t sure when they will clean the table so we couldn’t get it.
Other than that, the food was good. The chicken was really dry (I only eat chicken and seafood). My wife enjoyed the steaks and lamb. The service Jojo provided was impeccable. His service turned everything around for us.

We always go to Fogo de Chão, our favorite place for celebrations, but yesterday we went to lunch and at the end of the night we started to feel very sick. We didn't eat anything other than lunch and I believe something wasn't right, because everyone at home was sick
The service and food was exceptional. We were a very large party and they handled our group very efficiently. We'll definitely return!
On Saturday, 23 Oct, my party opted for the full rodizio menu, about $60 per person. The server said she would leave the tablet that showed all menu items on our table for the rest of our dinner. During the dinner, we were given a variety of meats and several repeats of regular picanha. But by the time we were very full, I noticed we hadn’t been offered all items on the full rodizio menu and that the tablet had disappeared when we went to the salad bar at the beginning of our meal. I checked online reviews and found we were never offered two types of filet mignon, a picanha with chimichurri & jalapeño, New York steak, leg of lamb, and a veggies skewer. I let the server know and she said “well sometimes the gauchos miss a table.” I can understand that happening but they didn’t forget to charge full price for a full rodizio dinner that included only the less expensive cuts of meat, seafood, and pineapple instead of the full menu we were promised. I can see why the tablet disappeared. She offered to send the filet mignon but I told her several times that we were too full at that point and could not eat anymore but we would gladly accept a lesser charge. She sent two guachos anyway. One I apologized to and let him know we asked her to not send any more meat so I don’t know why she sent him over. Another, the main guacho, came and offered more food and I declined several times. He walked over to my father, who had already let us know that he was too full. The guacho kept pressing him and would not accept no and my father reluctantly accepted. He could not finish eating these cuts. Why are you so aggressively insistent with your customers? The server strategically did this in an attempt to convince us we were served the whole menu. We still were not offered the full menu while we were still hungry. The server claimed she would “take care of” us and that you were better than fogo. We wanted to believe her but this was not our experience in these respects.

Meat service has slipped compared to previous visits. We had to ask for Salmon and Filet, as servers didn't bring all options to our table

A family favorite! Went to celebrate a birthday, and found the restaurant quite busy, so glad we made reservations. The wine list is extensive, but the house cabernet is great, so you don't have to spend a fortune on wine. The salad bar is great, as are the sides, like black beans and rice. Our favorite meat is easily the lamb chops, which are so good they amaze. Top sirloin and filet are also delicious, as is the roasted pineapple--a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back.
First time there. Service was extremely slow on meats and drinks. Seated well after the reservation time.

Everything was going great, then it was like our table just got forgotten about.
They stopped coming to our area completely with meat. We were almost done with our meal before getting and Salmon and we asked our waiter multiple time to have some come to our table with Salmon. Seems they were catering to some specific table
Our waiter gave me a tablet to order dessert and then I had to go to the front reception area to have them get our waiter so we could order dessert (it was after 15-20 min after getting the tablet I went up to the reception area). Also watched our waiter give the table in front of us a tablet for them to pick desserts and take their dessert order right away.
You would figure paying $750 for a meal the service would be better.

Great food and drinks. Exactly as I remember it pre-covid. I prefer this Brazilian steakhouse to the others because the salad bar is more extensive. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and the meat offerings were plentiful and frequent. The restaurant was full, but not crowded. However, many patrons did not wear masks when they weren't at their tables. The only downside to the night.
Always love eating at Chima's - first-class experience.
Unfortunately this Chima has changed since our last visit. We felt like we were at a buffet vs fine dining. No ambient lightening. Staff was overwhelmed. Chicken was bloody. We waited for each rotation of beef and received the last few cuts so no end pieces and waited a long time for each rotation. I do not write reviews but this was overly disappointing. Especially for $68 a plate.
Never come back again .

Great spot for hanging out with a friend. Our server, Erick and Jo Jo, were awesome. Service was great. All the staff that served and assisted had great personalities and were helpful. The food was maxing. A wonderful way to spend a Friday evening!
I try to come once every 2 weeks... and every time I'm NEVER disappointed.
Whenever I think of quality grill meats, I'd go to Chima before I go to any steakhouses in the area - and there are a number of great steakhouses around Tyson/Reston/Vienna - but nothing beats Chima's meats and service.
My relationship with the staff, from managers to servers, have been professional but also very informal and friendly.
I've taken friends from out of town to Chima and they all complemented on the quality, service, and ambience... and they're from Los Angeles, Ca (where I'm also from), so that's saying a lot.
Best Brazilian Steakhouse in the DMV. Beats Texas de Brazil in every way, and equals (if not surpasses) Fogo de Chão's food & beats their service.

Our server was awesome!!! He explained everything in great detail ..I hope he gets a raise. Front desk receptionist needs to smile more under that face mask you can tell if someone has a smile or even body language l. Her tone of speaking was bad too.

Service is extremely slow. The meat was not tasty. The only good thing was the salmon and the shrimp with the passion fruit sauce. That’s what make them different from the other steakhouses. It’s my third time visiting Chima hoping I would have a better experience but it doesn’t seem to happen. The staff was friendly though, but slow….

I've been to several different Brazilian steak houses in different states, and I would not recommend Chima Steakhouse. The service here was terrible, meat selections at dinner was minimal, and the staff wasn't very attentive. The setting was dirty, there was food on our chairs from the previous guest. I will not be eating there again.
Chima is always busy and there's a reason why. It's a great place to eat! The food was awesome and service was the best I've had there. We had a continuous selection of meats offered to us that were cooked the way we like it. If we needed anything, the waiter was checking in with us exactly when we needed it. Highly recommended for an wonderful eating experience. Go hungry!
