Chifley’s Bar & Grill pays homage to the region’s wineries and boutique food producers with a seasonal, modern menu. Chef Saju Rajappan and his team cater to discerning travellers, diplomats, and businesspeople with classic but inventive dishes that are as delicious as they are gorgeous to look at.

Steaks, seafood, chicken, and other dishes cooked on the grill are a speciality. The menu also features pasta, risotto, a wide range of vegetarian options, dishes designed for sharing, and tempting desserts. A wide range of local and international wines, cocktails, craft beers and ciders are available for your drinking pleasure.

Chifley’s Bar & Grill is named after the 16th Prime Minister of Australia, Ben Chifley, who loved dining here and frequently enjoyed a tipple in the bar. In honour of his favourite drink, the whisky bar has a specially curated menu taking guests on a sensory journey of whiskies around the world.

A lovely space, and interesting menu. Unfortunately it was marred by over loud music which didn’t suit the time & place. Lovely staff, but more training seems to be needed. Food preparation was inconsistent.

We were at Chifley's for our 35th wedding anniversary. The service was outstanding with a nice personal touch and the food was amazing. We would definitely recommend Chifley's for a dining venue.

Pleasant, relaxed and attractive, tables well spaced and staff very friendly and efficient. We were staying at the hotel and just wanted a quiet evening and easy relatively inexpensive meal, and were happy with the ambience and our meals. Options to have a drink and/or your meal in the dining room, covered veranda or outside in the garden courtyard, make this a lovely relaxed venue. We have been before and will return.

Nice, sedate ambience, good service, good food. Recommended for a quiet catch up with old friends as it’s not too noisy

I ordered rare sirloin. After we had just finished entree the waitress asked if we wanted a break before main. We said yes. However about 5 minutes later a cold medium well steak was served to me. We are on holiday so I didn't want a fuss, but it was clear that the steak had been cooked before we were asked if we wanted a break and my steak just sat somewhere. Given the price I was extremely disappointed.

The service was excellent; the staff were prompt and caring about all aspects of our dining experience. My food was lovely, as were the drinks we consumed. The last time we ate here, my husband had a 400g T bone steak meal which he described as delicious. He enjoyed it so much he ordered the same meal again, and was very disappointed. The steak was undersize and quite gristly. The vegetables were not hot and the brandy peppercorn sauce was not as thick and tasty. The manager was very apologetic- as I said, the staff were excellent- and offered a new meal. We didn’t want to create a dilemma so declined, but we did wish to pass on my husband’s disappointment, given the price of the meal.
