Service was attentive and a perfect low-key ambience. My only criticism would be perhaps lowering the music a little bit, it was hard to hear our Guests talk.

One of the best restaurants that I've been to here in LA. I came for my birthday this past Tuesday after being recommended by a client.
All of the dishes were delicious from beginning to end. The service was top notch, and it was fun watching the staff cook in front the counter.
The meat was VERY Fatty. It is very expensive and for that price I would go else where!!! I would not go back...
Great atmosphere and service. Awesome meats and sides. We went fish and lamb this time. The fish was great, as were the sides and salad.
Very casual dining but all the food we ordered were amazingly flavorful. The sauces used were so delicious. Desserts were so so. They were too sweet for me. But the short ribs and the roasted duck were worth it. I left the restaurant craving for more. I would definitely come back and bring my friends.

Had to wait a half hour for table, should have told diners at table to move on after two and a half hours!
Casual dining but top notch food. A week later I am still thinking about some of the dishes we had (warm dates!). Simple, but absolutely delicious Nancy cuisine. Loved it. Nice to go with a group as many of the dishes are meant to be shared among 5-6.
Amazing meat! Charcuterie (interesting and delicious), bread and burrata (wonderful), caesar salad (rich, intense and heavy on the dressing), Moorish Lamb (great!), and of course the famous Butterscotch Budino. Waiter (Bobby) was terrific and fun; they mistakenly lost some of the charcuterie we had saved to go, and it was replaced along with a glass of prosecco! Great service!

To be honest, the venue is looking a little dated and tired.
The produce is cleverly cross referenced between the adjoining venues.
Our pork tomahawk took too long and the accompanying sides came out before the pork.
The staff did however make the dessert complimentary.
In all, a great concept which is lacking a little luster.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. We started with the bread, a must, shared the little gem salad, plenty for 4 and very delicious, then a must every time we go, the grilled octopus. We shared bronzino, duck, and broccoli. My taste buds still haven't recovered... one dish was better than the next. Great food and great service, one of my favorite restaurants!
An experience worth repeating. The Cesar salad was the best I have ever had.

I love this restaurant. It's very close to Italian restaurants I've visited in Italy in every way. That being said, there was a bit of a difference between a Thursday visit and a Monday visit. Thursday was OUTSTANDING, one if those magical restaurant nights where everything was delicious, ambiance perfect, service smooth. Monday, however, all of our dishes were too salty, from the focaccia to the asparagus, music was too loud for a room of that size, too many people interacted with us (like 5, it was like, And who are You?) which diminished continuity. I'll still return, but i want my Thursday back.

Every visit to chi SPACCA is a special occasion. This has been my favorite restaurant on earth for years, and remains so. The kitchen staff, front of house, and management are all masters of what they do. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Simplicity of the food was refreshing. All flavors were exactly as they should be. Nothing was trying to compete.
Service was outstanding. The waiter was very knowledgeable and personable too. The chef came over to talk to us about the different kinds of olive oil used in cooking different dishes. The whole experience was very, very special.

We loved our visit. The space is small but cozy, street parking is easy. But most importantly, the food left us speechless. We were very very happy with everything we ordered.
My steak was mostly raw. You can't order your steak the way you want it. They cook it to one temperature I was told. The thermometer must have been broke because it was ridiculously ultra rare.
Originally made a reservation for Chi Spacca, changed it to dine at Osteria Mozza to welcome my parents from England, welcome one of our chefs from Per Se, as well as celebrate my husbands birthday last night. Probably the worse decision. Luckily booked a last minute reservation after we finished at Osteria Mozza to do a redo dinner. We loved Chi Spacca and so did everyone else! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with kind faces and smiles! I did make the mistake of reserving a table for 2 when it was for 5, but there wasn’t even any hesitation of the lady at the front making room for us. As soon as we sat, we were helped and the manager who we’ve seen a couple times there was delightful as always! Made simple straight to the point recommendations of a bottle of red wine, and a glass of rosé. I was able to have a few savory items, as well as we ordered all the desserts in a true celebration! I do believe when things are good it’s even more of a reason to say something! So to the ladies of Chi Spacca, thank you very much for ending our evening on a happy note! We genuinely appreciated everything! We will be back soon!
We have been there many many times and have enjoyed the food and service immensely. This visit was a huge disappointment with the 50 oz porterhouse not cooked enough and simply raw. It was difficult to cut and had no flavor, except being over peppered this time. The lamb sausage was burnt and dry as well and the grilled octopus. Our favorite dish, Focaccia di Recco, was overly oily and Pane Bianco bistecca dripping had pieces of meat that were hard as rocks. The young lady that served us was borderline rude. It was my son's birthday and WAS his favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the owner Nancy cannot be there all the time to oversee her employees. I am saddened by these events. We will return will caution.
Great food, great ambiance, and definitely a must-try place. We sat at the counter and it was a great view of the kitchen and the chefs. Would definitely come back next time with a bigger group to share all the meat main entrees.
Great for service and menu
We returned to get the famous Focaccia Bread and their signature bone-in ribeye. Both were a disappointment. The meat is delivered medium rare with a warm center only. Not possible to get it any other way. The Cesar Salad dressing was too tart and the side order of carrots was completely overcooked to the point of dehydration. Bottom line for the amount of money this was not worth it.
Best Pork Chop ever. Amazing food in general and great service! Get the flatbread.

Every detail was well thought out and the food was absolutely delicious! Grace, our caretaker for the evening, was delightful, informative, and spot on with her recommendations based on our food idiosyncrasies. The price is well worth the experience!
My wife and I are both lifetime restaurant professionals. We wanted something very special for a birthday dinner, and decided to give Chi Spacca a try since we have had good experiences at Osteria Mozza.
Let me tell you, Chi Spacca was the best restaurant experience either of us have had in years. Our server, Bobby, was terrific and fun without being cloying. Every need we had wasn’t met, it was exceeded.
The Prosciutto and Burrata started us out in world class fashion. The Octopus and Pork Tomahawk were both the best examples of those proteins we’ve ever had.
We had far too much food, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
A perfect meal. Thank you, Chi Spacca, for taking such great care with your food and service, and making this night such a special one for my wife and me. We will return.
