We enjoyed the food, service, ambience of an old favourite Chez Olivier. Three of our group of four would like to see Risotto on the menu again.

A gorgeous French onion soup and a very fine beef bourguignon - what’s not to like?? The champagnes by the glass could be more varied n range, but that’s a pretty 21st century problem isn’t it? What shaded the otherwise impeccable service was the wait time for food. Not that it wasn’t well worth the wait:) Our server, Leeza, knew her stuff and was a native French speaker - bonus! At its peak the noise became a little troubling but overall it was tolerable. For authentic French food in South Yarra, Chez Olivier is tough to beat.

An excellent lunch with great food and service, the BYO opportunity was enjoyed and very good glassware provided. It was a bit quiet but that did not detract from a most enjoyable experience
