My husband and I always enjoy C’est La Vie and Josephine’s and look forward to when we can return. The food and ambiance is wonderful.
As always the cocktails are fantastic and the food was great . We always enjoy our waiter Bernie - most excellent service
A definite dining must in Lancaster! Excellent food and service, great atmosphere .
C'est La Vie is one of my favorite places to dine and for anyone that has tried it, you should!
Loved the ambiance, the food, the service and the quality!!
Great experience! The atmosphere and decor were on point.
C'est la vie is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always awesome, the cocktails are delicious, and the service first rate. It also has a good vibe.
Amazing food, wonderful service, and covid measures being taken.
Great service and a wonderful meal. Would definitely go back. Really a great venue for just about anything ranging from date night to a special occasion dinner.
Had a lovely date night over the weekend. Loved the Lemon Street cocktail, Crab Cake appetizer and Margarita pizza. Robert provided outstanding service. Love the ambiance, especially seated near the windows!
Dining outside in November with good friends, good food, and great service...PRICELESS!!!
Food arrived cold for one of us and had to be reheated even after server said mind the dish its hot - it wasn't.
Nicoise salad was poor - all lettuce and decent tuna but not much else.
When mentioned to the server she said sorry but that was all.
Server needs some personality.
Excellent food and service. We sat outside under the heaters and it was plenty warm.
Bree was an excellent and engaging server. Continue with limited menu but food is good. Small carrott cake dessert for price
Great food and atmosphere! Tuck away in downtown Lancaster. I look forward to coming here again!
Great experience, food was good, restaurant was quiet, service was good.
The food is always spectacular. And the service is very attentive too.
C'est La Vie is a fantastic addition to the downtown Lancaster restaurant scene. They have a great menu, great staff, great location with great parking close by!
It was very enjoyable especially sitting outside. Nice we had the option if we needed it. We all enjoyed our meals and cocktails were great too! Will be returning!
Enjoyed the food. Safety pre
We went for our 28th anniversary and not only was the food delicious, but the service and overall hospitality was impressive. French Onion soup was excellent!!
Some of the food we ordered was simply outstanding - others, not so much. The fillet was a 10, the salmon was an 8, and the pasta with seafood was a 5 - very little salmon was in the seafood pasta and the sauce was incredibly bland and tasteless. It's the kind of dish that after that first taste, you ask the wait staff for salt and pepper please. Nothing is more disappointing that very bland pasta. The Caesar was nice - I'd give it a 7, not higher. The butternut squash soup was simply amazing. The shrimp cocktail was good, but for $19, we expected to get more than 4 shrimp. (They were large, but even so, 4 shrimp for $19?). The environment was very, very nice. The service was a bit slow at times, even my European standards, but our wait staff was very pleasant - and we weren't in a hurry. I would go back again, but I'd be more careful about what I ordered. Our total bill was $211 before tip for 3 people. It was a special occasion so we didn't focus on price - but that was a bit pricey for the overall quality - but all said, I would go back.
Wonderful experience!! Everything from the food to the service, just great.
Wonderful service! Food was delicious.
Everything we had was absolutely exquisite, amazing depth of flavors. Our server was wonderful, pleasant and had a vast knowledge of the menu
We dined outdoors... service and food were great! Lunch menu was a bit confusing but other than that a great dining experience during these difficult covid days!
Food was excellent. Very tasty and innovative. While the service was good and attentive, we did not feel any warmth from the server. Never a smile in the 1-1/2 hours we were there. Did not even give us his name. Quite a contrast from just a week or so ago when our server was one of the most pleasant i have ever experienced!
Fantastic food, & service. It was a wonderful evening dining out.
Outstanding experience. A cool Saturday afternoon, a heater and even a blanket was offered for out outside lunch date. C’est la Vie goes to the max to make everyone welcome and comfortable. The food was excellent as usual!
What a beautiful bistro. Perfect food, perfect ambiance. And of course perfect company. We had a nice late lunch on a fall afternoon. There was a chill in the air but how fun is that! Thank you.
We had a great experience at C'est La Vie. Hunter our waiter was extremely nice and accommodating - flawless service. The French Onion Soup and the Coquille Saint Jacques were great! The seating was spread outside the restaurant with heaters, so very comfortable. Would definitely go back when I am in the Lancaster area.
Our server was attentive and our dinner was quite tasty. Cozy with the outdoor heaters.
Highly recommend C'est la Vie for dining. We ate outside and it was great. A little chilly, but with the portable heaters, it was perfect! The crab cakes were out of this world delicious!
My friends and I thought the drinks and food were delicious, with a variety of good options. We very much enjoyed that each table outside had a heater (what a plus now that it’s getting cold and some people like myself may not want to eat inside during covid.)
Unfortunately we were taken aback by our waiters just flat out rudeness from the moment he came to our table. No “Hello!”, “Welcome!” “My name is...” or anything, just a cold “Drinks?” We ignored the bluntness and we barely saw him during our meal, but at the end as he was cleaning our plates he asked whether we were interested in anything else. I happily asked whether there were any desserts? He responded with, “well the great thing is, you can scan the QR code and look it up on your phone.” After realizing we did not respond back to that and were dumbfounded by his answer, he finally decided to tell us what some of the desserts on the menu were. After leaving us with a bitter taste in our mouth, we said “No” to dessert and quickly left to enjoy some dessert at Barbaret instead.
Bummer when the food is great but the service ends up being so disappointing.
Great food, fab service!!
Was our second time here and we’ll be back again. Food is so good, as are the martinis and service!
Lovely outdoor seating in Alley. Great ambiance. Fun drinks.
Exceeded our expectations! Excellent food and service!! Highly recommend
Delicious food, fun people, great server John.
Great atmosphere, especially with the outdoor dining. Our waitress, Breanna (Sp?) was excellent. Could definitely see her smile despite the mask!
