This was the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day! Between the direct sunshine and the ample heaters, the outdoor dining setup was perfect to keep us comfortable during our meal. I am from New Jersey and am use to good Italian food and I have to say the chicken parm sandwich was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband had pizza which he said was the closest he’s had to a NY slice in DC. We will definitely be back !!

Incredible outdoor igloos. Cozy with couches, a heater, and blankets for a true at-home feel. Go. Easily best place I’ve been in this year in DC.

We reserved the table at 8:30 pm., but our table be ready at 9:30pm and the kitchen closed at 10pm and restaurant closed at 10:30. So we didn’t have time to order and eat. Most of the food it is not available

Our table was a beautifully decorated tent. There were blankets for our use as it was a very cold night. The food and the services were great.

We requested indoor seating and were sat outdoor in a igloo type covering in 30degree weather we had to wear our coats and hats to stay warm. The bar was closed so we only were able to order mimosas. The menu was pizza or a Sub and The pizza tasted good but was overpriced. They had three igloos set up and the service was poor because it was a bad she likely didn’t want to keep coming outside- or that we could blame her for that. The experience wasn’t good and we will not return.
My friend and I went to the Canopy Central Cafe and Bar for Christmas lunch. The staff, in particular, Miss Deborah, was amazing! She went over and beyond to ensure the gift of hospitality with proactive service and a smile! We ate in the outside “igloos” adorned with white lights and furnished with comfy chairs, couches, warm blankets and a decorative rug. What a cool experience! There is also an old fashion space heater with decorative logs that lights up inside each igloo. And, if that wasn’t enough, we enjoyed the best veggies pizza, hot out of their pizza oven! Thank you Miss Deborah for making Christmas extra special for two women away from their families on Christmas Day!

This was probably one of my worst dining experiences. We arrived for our 2:15 at 2:13 and were taken to our table which was still dirty. We had to wait and stand in the middle of the restaurant for 10 minutes for someone to come wipe it off while we stood. No one came to speak to us take our orders until about 2:40 even though the kitchen “closed” at 3:00. then we started to receive drinks thereafter. The Drinks were good. Our server continued to quickly bring us refills which was nice. However to service from the manager was horrible. 5/6 of us ordered the same thing. My chicken came out pink while everyone else’s was fine. I sent it back and then received another piece that was still pink and even had a bloody spot. At this point I spoke with the manager and he asked if there was anything he could do for me. I told him I really was scared to eat anything else and I was not sure. He said they had wings which were smaller. And I said ok I do need to eat. So if you just change me for the wings I will take that. He agreed He brings the wings and soon after we ask for checks. Once the bills came (all separate), I was still charged the full amount for when I received raw chicken. When I addressed this with the manager, he said “well it’s a pandemic” I said “so you agree You game me raw food” he said yes. I said so it’s acceptable to serve me raw food and expect me to pay for it in a pandemic? He was quiet. Then he said “ok you can pay or you can leave Im not discussing this anymore” and sat the bill down. I proceeded to gather my things and just think of what I wanted to do. and then he threatened to call the police on me if I left - after he suggested that I leave. I am a young black woman and was surprised that this man would rather escalate the situation than accommodate a guest. Ive never been so disrespected or treated like this at any restaurant. I don’t even leave reviews when I get bad service. But this was appalling. I’ll never visit this restaurant again.
The view from the balcony is beautiful, and the heaters kept things cozy!

We visited for brunch and had the $40 bottomless option...and what a great choice it was! Food was amazing the steak tacos and pesto pasta were the best! Service was awesome and Thomas to great care of us :) we will be back!

The cheese plate was very good (more crackers please!) The whiskey pig and Stella were good. Waitress gave us extra Stella pour bc keg had to be tapped. Nice touch. But NYC bar type prices so be ready. $$$

The good: beautiful restaurant, great outdoor seating options
The bad: Customer service was very slow although the restaurant was almost empty. The food was just ok and I had to send my cocktail back because it was poorly made. The cheese tray contained grapes that were turning brown and underwhelming choices of cheese.
Post Covid, I MAY return only for a drink and ambience.
I took my wife out for a birthday brunch. Food was great. Service was horrible. Tables and settings just ok.
Prices for the quality do not match. Drinks are high but the glasses are small.
Really loved the view outside. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was too dry and over fried. I had a hard time biting into it the sandwich and couldn’t enjoy it.

The special occasion as my best friend’s birthday brunch. We arrived for our reservation and was quickly seated by the hostess. We were a group of 8 with two separate reservations and tables due to COVID. That was fine with us. My tables food took over an hour to come. We were told it was taking a while due to the French toast. When my French toast arrived it was COLD !! I requested to speak with the manager. The only thing he offered was to bring me another French toast. Mind the other part of our group received their food 20 minutes before my table. I asked how long would that take because the other table was half way die their meal. He couldn’t give me a solid time. I asked if I had to pay for the French toast if he sent out other one due to the inconvenience and food being cold and he said yes. I was applauded and told him to take everything back. Due to this I was unable to eat with my group. We had friends visiting from out of state with a packed schedule so could not wait for more food. I’m so disappointed. This was not my first time at the restaurant. It was one a my favorites but not anymore.
Shaky customer service. Food just ok.
Atmosphere was really nice. Waiter was likely new. He wasn't very attentive and forgetful of items I requested. Food was good. Will return.

Very limited menu. Food was alright and over priced. If it wasn’t for the patio view, wouldn’t have even bothered going.

of 4 people 2 ordered a salmon dish. The waiter indicated that the salmon did not meet the standard of the restaurant. A substitute was ordered - disappointing but appreciated the decision made. Overall ambiance was excellent and the waiter was thoughtful and responsive..

I was in town visiting over the weekend and was recommended by a friend to go to Canopy Central. Everything looked beautiful at first, but things got ugly very quickly. It got chilly the moment my girlfriend and I were seated, so we asked for a heater or a table with a heater. The waiter told us not to worry that we were going to be moved the moment a table with a heater becomes available. We placed an order for our food and 20 minutes pass, still no table. We asked our waiter and he said not to worry we were next. 30 minutes pass, someone else with the same issue gets moved. Still no table. After waiting 40 minutes, the restaurant manager comes up to us to ask if everything was ok. We expressed our concern and he immediately told us that was not going to happen due to “covid” and if we want to move he has to close us out. We got upset and told him our waiter basically lied to us. So after a few minutes back and forth he finally budged to move us close to the fire pit. Then, food came in for my girlfriend and the manager said enjoy. THEY FORGOT MY FOOD! He runs to the kitchen and brings my food COLD. This was the worst experience I had!
They mistakenly brought out two of one person's appetizer and still charged us for it even though we didn't order it. They also forgot about our entrees but we couldn't ask about them because it was easily a half hour between every time we saw our server. We will not be returning.
Our server Tommy was delightful! He took special care of our family and really made us feel cared for. The ambience was lovely, a perfect outdoor setting during this crazy time in life.
