Cedar Craft & Kitchen
Bacon wrapped shrimp, horseradish dip
Caramelized onion tomato gravy, mashed potatoes & vegetable
grilled shrimp, bacon & roasted tomato risotto
Both our meals were really good. We will be back.
Absolutely wonderful experience here, great atmosphere, great service and food is excellent!!! Will return over and over again!!!
We've been quite a few times and it's wonderful every time! The service is top notch. Even our two young boys love it :-)
A very small hidden gem. Definitely make reservations. Eating at the bar is an option.
The way to look at this is a bar that has a few tables that is trying to sell upscale food. It’s a hole in the wall. Waitress was ok but nothing special. She messed up our appetizers. Food was ok. Nothing great but nothing bad either. I would say entree dinner for $18 was good but I would probably not go back. It was just average food that I could get anywhere else.
I’d go back
Stopped on our way home from the airport. What a delightful place! Prompt, friendly service. Large selection of beer on tap and a good choice of wines. Enjoyed chicken Parmesan and lobster ravioli - staff were attentive to food allergies. A nice mix of young families, older couples and friends reconnecting after work. Not too noisy so you can have a conversation . A welcoming atmosphere. Don’t be put off by the residential neighborhood and no frills atmosphere. This place is a real find. We will go back.
The receptionist didn’t even great us. The selection of food was very limited. Not much flavor to anything we ate
One & Done! Won’t go back.
Still not disappointed!!! It was a very busy Saturday night and our food was a little slow coming out. We were hungry, but not the least bit upset or concerned about it. Chef realized we were waiting, apologized numerous times and sent us a drink on top of that. We've been going to CCK since it opened and we LOVE THIS PLACE!!! PS, the new Mocha Coffee Martini is awesome!!!
The wait for food was way too long. The quality of the food was not that great. Beer prices were too high & not put on the menu.
Terrible experience. Server was sweet and clearly embarrassed. Tables that showed up after us were served and got checks even before we received our entrees. Shame. Was excited about dining at this local bar before our show at the Barnstormer.
Everything was awesome from the service to the food!! Loved
This place from our first visit when they first opened and continue to love it to this day! Diane, Kate, Nicole an all the staff are wonderful and the food is impeccable!! My compliments to the chef, for every meal melts in your mouth! THANK YOU!!!
Started by having to wait even with reservation. Not because there wasn't a table, because they didn't know what they were doing at the hostess station. Others came in behind us and another hostess sat them at the empty table while we were standing waiting for the other hostess to come back. Then there was the wait for someone to take our order. The hostess finally brought us water after about 20 minutes, another 20 minutes and the waitress arrived. We ordered an appetizer, 40 minutes or so later it arrived with our dinner (same time) and was served by yet another hostess. Rarely saw the waitress even though tables were emptying out. The dinner was okay. Took 2 hours for a basic dinner. no appetizers or dessert, it shouldn't have but the staff seemed more interested in taking amongst themselves. We didn't bother to order dessert, didn't want to wait even larger. There was a young playing guitar, who was really good, the highlight of the meal.
Wow! Great martini, risotto balls, pizza, mussels! Great atmosphere!
We are return customers and love CCK!! Have never had a bad meal or experience. The food is always exceptional. Love all the waitresses and everyone is attentive and friendly. This place is a hidden gem! Can’t wait to go back!!
We recently started coming to this place as it is close to home! Always something to eat and if you are prepared their specials are quite good but also a little pricey, although you get what you pay for so all in all a good spot.
They have music when we go on Friday which has been very good! My only negative is the beer could be colder.
Cedar is a small neighborhood bar/restaurant.
We had a 5:45 reservation mid week. We were seated right away. It was; however, a bit drafty sitting at a table near the door. We asked to be moved to an open table near the rear of the dining room. We were told there was a large party coming in. No problem. Our waitress greeted us almost immediately and took our drink order. There was a wine special but we chose to pass and just had iced teas. Soups and salads came without delay. We were a party of four and we ordered shrimp, chicken piccata, and crab cakes. All were delicious.
I definitely recommend trying Cedar for yourself. We will be going back soon and we can’t wait.
The muddy waters cocktail was yummy!
We enjoyed dinner here on New Years Eve with friends. Everything was delicious & service was excellent. We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed everything on the menu & the daily specials.
A great neighborhood tavern. Warm, relaxed atmosphere - happy chatter at the bar, but not too loud. Friendly staff. Above average comfort food. Nice variety of entrees. Especially enjoyed the arugula salad, smashed potatoes, and porter on tap. Veggies of the day were cooked to just the right tenderness - attentively prepared. Very mild flavors; I’d like to see the seasoning game raised to match their success with textures.
Could do without the television screens in the dining room, but overall very satisfied!
Always great food and drinks at CCK. A true neighborhood gem!!
We were a group of 5 and 2 had the specials while the other three ordered off the menu. We started with the shrimp scampi and asparagus plus the risotto bites. The shrimp was a little over done but the fried asparagus was excellent. The risotto bites were awesome. Everyone's entree was excellently prepared with big but not excessive portions. We would definitely go back again.
Had another great meal at CCK. My wife thought the mussels in red sauce was the best she ever had.
We listened to the band
“Those Guys” awesome!!
Normally, Cedar Craft is a nice, reliable place for a bit out. This past visit found the two people running the front a bit scattered and the food, OK. The restaurant wasn't crowded but somehow our ticket to the kitchen got lost - two burgers with chips. The waitress comped us two beers, but the burgers came out with cold, homemade chips and pickles although we both said no pickles, please. We had heard that there were some issues, we'll probably give it another go and see how it is.
Food is great! Diane our waitress was the best as usual
Excellence place to have dinner:) Drinks were great and food was delicious. Highly recommend this Glenolden gem. There was a guy singing/ playing guitar on the Saturday night that we were there and he was awesome~ old songs and new. Bartender and waitstaff on top of drinks even before they were empty.
Always great food at CCK!!!
Nice neighborhood find. Loved the chicken parm
Cedar Craft Kitchen is a hidden gem in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The atmosphere is perfect for dinner and drinks with friends or family. The food is out of this world. High quality and delicious food and drink specials.
We really enjoyed our meals. My draft beers just were not as cold as expected. The man at the table next to us complained about warm beer also, the staff started to ice down his glass before filling it, not ideal.
Great food !!! Great Service!!!
. We came last minute. We a large party. So friendly and accommodating Food was awesome and the staff was fantastic!
We've been here three times and we love it. We always have great service and food, and we always have a great time!
Really good food and great service. We go here every few moths.
Food was OK for a neighborhood place. The menu is
This place is the best. It feels like a hidden gem, in the middle of a neighborhood. The food is always good, even their specials are usually worth it. I had their beef medallion special the other night and it cut like butter. I highly recommend it.
While completing our visit in Philadelphia we decided to have dinner at one of the restaurants near our hotel. Using this app I found the reviews to be quite enticing, so we decided on Cedar Craft and Kitchen. It was located in a neighborhood and that night other guests, who probably frequent this establishment regularly, were busy enjoying themselves. We were seated, given a menu and asked the usual questions pertaining to ordering. We received our appetizer and were pleasantly surprised, and impressed with the presentation of the dish and it’s flavor. We knew we’d made an excellent choice. The rest of our dishes were impeccable ! Truly a hidden gem.
I have been here 3 times and every time has been great. Waitress was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable of the dishes. She was so good to my 4 year old daughter. Food is always excellent. We will definitely recommend this place and be back again.
Summer tuna. Scorched corn and jumbo lump crab bruschetta.
Sakura long bone pork chop. Granny Smith apple cider glaze.
We had both and they were excellent, perfectly cooked and delicious!!!
