The food was good and will definitely return however they need to work on a few things. We had reservations and half of our party arrived an half hour early but they had nowhere to seat us. They tried seating us outside but the table had no lights (we were told they were going to work in the lights) and and it was so humid outside that the fans they had only made it worse blowing hot air. This is a really small place so I don’t suggest any large parties going here to celebrate because they don’t have the space to accommodate in my opinion. When we finally got seats inside our waitress was great! I hate that I don’t remember her name but she was lovely and made up for the mishaps when we first arrived.
Another very good meal. Food was great. Service was good but could be improved.
Great fusion idea, EVERYTHING was flavorful and great twist to the norm. Going back very soon!!
Casa Sensei was great. It was super casual, the food was delicious and the staff was incredibly nice. We will definitely go back.
Casa Sensei has a diverse and interesting menu to please everyone. We had the best edamame ever, sprinkled with truffle oil and warm and tasty. The Miso marinated Sea Bass was excellent. Service is professional and very pleasant. We had delicious mojitos that are as good as South Beach. This os my favorite restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard.
Wonderful atmosphere, sat at a high top outside on the water. Food was amazing, started with edamame with truffle oil... a delight, moist beans with a flavorful finish..... next came Chino sticky ribs, St. Lewis ribs with Chinese bbq sauce .... tender and meaty ...followed up by charred octopus, tender and light meat, not rubbery. The grande finale was a shogun roll ..... Spicy tuna with scallions, Korean pepper topped with Wagyu beef and kimchi sauce it just melted in your mouth. For dessert I chose a chocolate martini and wasn’t disappointed, especially when it was accompanied by a full dish of a delicious cotton candy. Will definitely repeat.
Amazing time, and our server was great. Well knowledgeable of the menu. Thank you
Vacation and celebrating great vacations
Delicious ! Awesome staff
Food was excellent. Service was absolutely horrible, waited over an hour to get two entrees.
Loved using open table ! We had a seat inside as requested and right on time ! Everyone is lovely and accommodating, the popcorn and cotton candy are the best touches !!
The food was very good but the service was slow and we received one dish that we hadn’t ordered and never received the dish that we had actually ordered. Not sure if that was the fault of the waiter or of the kitchen. We will go back to try something else from the extensive menu - maybe we will sit at the bar so we can see more of what’s going on. They should stop serving candy floss for “dessert”. It’s not good for any person to consume that product.
Food was very good;however, lots and lots of flies for outdoor seating which made it difficult for everyone to eat their meals.
We were just visiting this city for my husband's birthday weekend and we absolutely fell in love with this place. We wanted to lift this restaurant and bring it with us to our home. Popcorn appetizer with interesting tasty sauce over and cotton candy dessert was all complimentary. Who wouldn't want to go back?
I have been here a few times, the food is yummi, good wine list, beautiful seating outdoors
Food was fab, lots of choices. Not overly pricey and loved being able to sit by the water in a quiet atmosphere. Dane was our server did a great job, appreciate his suggestions and service.
This was my 2nd visit to casa Sensei. The meal was hot and fresh and they served a really nice plate of dessert for my twin daughters birthday. We will return again!
Is the second time we come, first time was great. This time was not the best, the food took forever and the service was really slow, there were not packed or anything like the first time there were actually a lot of empty tables.
Everything else was good, is a good place and i will give it one more change another day to see if was just a one bad day.
Went there with my cousin to celebrate her graduation. She enjoyed it to the max. Our waiter was super kind. The ambience really good.
free dessert of cotton candy was great. Sorry I couldn't rave about the food.
Friendly staff and good food .We would definitely return
The pork street tacos and edamame with truffle oil were fantastic. Wonderful blend of flavors and textures.
We had gone out for my birthday, wanting something a little romantic. The restaurant setting
is nice, if you get to sit outside, it's beautifully set next to the canal with boats going by.
We arrived at the restaurant and were promptly seated, however it took forever to get acknowledged
by the server. He did come by to apologize as he was new, we eventually got someone else to
serve us, she was extremely pleasant but it took forever to get our dish and then even more time to
The food is mediocre, not bad, good but not fantastic. Price point was good as well.
Food was good but service was terrible and very disorganized.
Great food and creatively presented.
This place is amazing in terms of fusion cuisine. Trying the Tostones Cubanos Is a must. And wait for the check, a very "sweet" touch.
The location is perfect. The food was ok not impressed by it. The drinks were not bad but not great. Our waiter was a bartender so I had to ask the busboy to call him because we were ready to order. I’m not sure if we have been to the best Japanese restaurants that we have high expectations when it comes to it. Overall it was OK.
First time eating here on one of my many recent trips to Miami. It was a last minute late night reservation. They were very accommodating and had our table outside ready. We only got entrees, chicken wraps and fried rice. The fried rice was surprisingly a highlight. Most fried rice is just a mush of a bunch of ingredients fried together with no distinguishing tastes. This dish was actually really good. It had a fresh taste with all the ingredients being flavorful and seasoned well. I would go back for this simple yet elevated dish. The nice surprise was the house made cotton candy that came at the end of the meal. The seating outside was by a nice small waterway. There were a few small boats docked. It was a nice relaxing vibe.
Best crab Rangoon I have ever had! House fried rice was amazing, so was the sesame chicken! We will definitely be back
We love their food. Unusual dishes with unique presentations. The edaname is the best around. Service is excellent.
Hello! Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Casa Sensei. We are very happy you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. If you have the opportunity to come in on the last Thursday of the month, we have a fabulous Sake Tasting. Hope to see you there!
Our experience was excellent. Parking was easy, noise level was low and overall ambiance was pleasant. Food was served hot and was very good. We also loved the desserts! Coconut donuts with ice cream was awesome. We will be going back soon.
Thank you Lee for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed your meal and experience at Casa Sensei. We hope you visit us again soon.
I enjoyed the ambiance...nice outdoor seating. The food was really good and the waitress provided exceptional service. Will definitely go back!
What a fantastic experience, great location, awesome ambiance, friendly staff and exquisite food - amazing flavors! Our server RoRo was incredible! We highly recommend and will for sure be back soon.. Thanks again RoRo we loved the cotton candy!
Food was good, not great. Pricing was moderate to expensive. It's a long narrow space, but we were seated with a reservation no problem. My drink tasted like there was zero alcohol in it. Our waiter was awful. He also ruined a surprise birthday dessert by placing the dessert plates and spoons on the table long before the surprise was brought out.
We are so sorry to hear about your recent experience at Casa Sensei. Our restaurant goes to great lengths to provide the highest level of service, so please know we take your comments very seriously. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and our apologies that the experience/food was not up to the usual standard. I will pass this on to the team. We hope that you will visit us again in the future.
Great service, but the food was not as great as expected.
Plates came out dirty. Had to take them back. We ordered sushi and the waiter never gave us chop sticks. He also didn’t come back to our table to see if we needed anything. Had he came back he would’ve known we needed chop sticks. Asked for the manager they sent out the lead server instead. When the manager finally came out she discounted our and tried to clean it up by giving us some cotton candy. Nothing wrong with that. However, the cotton candy had a three inch strand of hair attached to it. She was so embarrassed.
Thank you for your feedback on your visit. We take pride in our cleanliness and attention to detail, but clearly we were not up to standard on your recent visit. We offer our apologies and hope that you will visit us again in the future. We are proud of our excellent food, superior service, quality and genuine value. We take your feedback to heart and hope you will give us another chance.
The ONLY positive about this restaurant is the food! Don't go for anything else... not the cocktails, not the crowd, especially NOT the service. The kitchen is on point, that's it!!!
The menu is confusing because I was not sure what type of restaurant it is. They had a variety of food from Spanish to Japanese to Chinese to Tai. They serve popcorn and at the end gave you Cotten candy maki f it feel at though you were at a fair.
Food was Fantastic and came very quickly.
Ambiance fantastic They were very accommodating and our waiter Sebastian, even though this was only his 5th day, did a wonderful job.
