About this restaurant

Romantic
Good for special occasions
Great for scenic views

Caruso’s oceanfront restaurant features al fresco seating over the sand alongside a stylish and sparkling interior with unmatched views of the Pacific Ocean. At Caruso’s, Chef Massimo introduces a taste of Southern Italy to coastal Montecito through signature dishes that utilize the highest-quality ingredients sourced from neighboring farmers, fisherman and ranchers.

To enhance the experience for our guests, we kindly ask that all diners adhere to a Business Casual dress code. We therefore suggest collared shirts for gentlemen. We consider hats, shorts, overly provocative clothing, and flip-flops too informal. Thank you for helping us provide an exceptional dining experience.

For parties of 6 or more, a prix fixe menu is required including a minimum spending per person. Please call 805 900 8388 to request more information.

We enjoyed dining here. The tomato and mozzarella salad was great, halibut and filet were also quite good. The cheesecake was great, too. The service was excellent. The food was all very good. We did find the kid’s menu to be overpriced at $25 per entree, without even a drink or dessert included.

Hello Foodies, Thank you very much for visiting Caruso's. I am happy that you enjoyed the experience and disappointed that you found the child menu not being suitable. We priced the children menu about half of our regular menu because we are not differentiate neither in portion or quality. We use exactly the same ingredients and preparation. I will be happy to welcome you back anytime and offer a round of drinks on the Chef's Tab if you allow me. Warm Regards, Chef Massimo

We waited three long months for Caruso's to reopen. It was well worth the wait. I didn't think they could improve, because it was already the best restaurant in Santa Barbara, but our meal Saturday night was the best we've ever had there. From the moment we sat down everything was fabulous. The ambiance (what restaurant can beat being right on the beach?). The service was impeccable. And the food was incredible. But the dessert, which is usually the only negative I've ever given the restaurant was the best course of the meal. When you go, do yourself a favor, and order the shortbread strawberry tart. Indescribably delicious. The strawberries were celestial.

Great location; food was OK but not so awesome you want to come back right away for it; lamb ragu and filet mignon were the best things we tried :)

Our server Danny was exceptional. We have spent four nights at the Miramar and have enjoyed all of them but tonight was the best. The menu presentation of food was worthy of a Michelin star and we cannot wait to return.

Disappointed. Food was very good but not worth the price. Worst was the bleeding through of the ego of "Chef". The long story of "Chef" (yes that's how the staff referred to him) was given to us even though it was clear we weren't interested his entire life's story. We asked for some bread and were told it comes when the menus are taken and that you must order everything you want at the same time. What? For over $100 per person bring the bread when we want it! Ego instead of customer service --not a good thing.

Hello Steve, Thank you very much for dining with us. Please accept my sincere apologies if you perceived the service intrusive. The team is very passionate about the program and at times can be overwhelming. I would love to invite you back if you give us the opportunity. We have an incredible group of individuals that surely will be able to take care of you. Please do not hesitate to contact me thru the Resort E Mail. Warm Regards, Chef Massimo
