Great evening! Service, drinks and food were top notch!
Brunch is always fantastic. Service and staff are friendly and efficient. Stayed at the bar for a bit post brunch and had fantastic cocktails served with a smile. If you're considering a brunch spot in the southtowns, look no further!
Great brunch sorry I don’t remember waiters name he was very patience with us!!! Many questions answered all! Loved his recommendations!! Loved it all. I beleive it was owner walking around checking everything stopped by every table. Noise level downstairs a bit loud but that means everyone having fun!!!
Great place! Atmosphere was wonderful, staff attentive, and food was outstanding.
Impromptu date night Last night and we decided to make reservations at Carte Blanche. The ambiance of this restaurant is very warm yet trendy and modern. We ordered mushroom toast as our appetizer and my husbands exact words were get this off the table or I won’t have room for my dinner. It was Excellent! Next our main course, I had the filet served with garlic butter roasted red potatoes and asparagus. My filet melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the 22oz ribeye special. He is one of the pickiest steak people I know when we go to dinner and he was blown away. He said it was one of the best steaks and was very complimentary of the kitchen staff who managed to cook a large steak to perfection. The staff was attentive and pleasant and because of all of the above we had a great night out. We will be back!
Carte Blanche is our current go-to for date night. The specials are excellent, you can't beat their popovers and the wine list is great (even by-the-glass!). Pair that with an exciting atmosphere and attentive waitstaff, and you've got a winner. Can't recommend this place enough.
Outstanding service. Great food.
It was a great way to ring out the old & ring in the new! Excellent time!
Waited 45 minutes for a reserved table
The experience was horrible.
Terrible seating, ran out appetizer and entree that I requested and it took an hour for the entree to arrive.
OMG! The quality of the food was unbelievable! Some dishes were a bit pricey but the quality and portion size made them a better value. Also, it was a bit loud but I think given the size of the rooms for the number of people, and it was New Years Eve, it was not bad. Will definitely go back!
We unfortunately had a bad experience the other evening. A restaurant that has been around for a while should be aware of trends during the holiday season. I made a reservation about three weeks in advance and when we got to the restaurant, we waited an hour for our table. This wouldn't be a big deal most nights, but on New Years Eve... not ideal.
We were crammed into a small corner, a table for four... for a six person reservation!
Our hostess was very apologetic but in this case you would think the owner/manager would come over an apologize and offer something for the inconvenience. This never happened.
Additionally, the food was underwhelming (especially for $30 Mac & Cheese), not to mention one of the entrees was missing shrimp... the main element of the dish.
With years of experience in the service/food industry... I'd say this experience was far from ideal. You never know who your guest is going to be so I'd recommend some customer service lessons.
Was looking forward to going to this place as its a bit out of my way being from the Northtowns. The greeter was nice, they took my coat which not many places always offer strangely. The ambiance is nice, kind of rustic, kind of funky and new vibe.
Our waiter was nice though he seemed nervous. We ordered a bottle of white which they couldn't seem to find and then they chilled it but it was barely chilled since they were rushing. I wish we were give the opportunity to order something else.
We had the cheese board which was delicious. I had the chicken Milanese- lemony and tasty but needed salt and pepper. I wish they had some on the table.
My friend had the shrimp risotto. We love risotto and this was one of the best in the city for sure. And I definitely don't say that often. The shrimp were big and juicy too.
Will go back to try some other things. Specifically the oysters!
Amazing food and service! One of my favorite places in Hamburg!
I ordered eggs on the side and when they brought them they said they accidentally added cheese and I said that fine. When I got my order they charged me $1.00 for the cheese on my egg. It’s not the dollar, I can’t believe they would have the nerve to charge me for their mistake. Had I said. I I don’t want the cheese they would give have thrown the whole thing out. Even thought the food was pretty good, when people asked me how it was, I told them about the extra charge, so for that extra $1.00 that they got, they lost a customer and I will tell everyone about it.
Excellent quality food
Very cute inside and decorated for the holiday. Love getting individual coffee french presses. Mushroom toast was beyond amazing!
It was a good evening, food was good not great, service was good
Small table next to a window. It was freezing and dark. Slow service to start. Asked for extra plate as we were sharing. Given a small sAlad plate. Salad was good. Steak had way too much sauce.
Delicious food. Quaint but small ambiance
Service was rather slow. We didn’t see our waiter often. Food was average. We had been there before and had a much better experience.
My favorite restaurant by far! We dine there often! Great waiters! Kevin is so awesome! Makes our dining experience great every time!!
Family holiday dining. Our 3rd time having brunch here and it was great. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our water glasses were never empty. Our meals were delicious and so were the Bloody Mary’s. We are going back for dinner soon. Can’t beat Carte Blanche.
Birthday . Restarant was beautiful . Great food & drinks. Friendly staff . Very clean . So pretty . Nice village location
Watch Hamburg parade with Family
The food was fabulous and the service was great.
Best brunch in the southtowns!! Everything was delicious!
Date night with my husband!
We returned to CB and once again were very satisfied to all you have to offer. We first were seated near bar but asked for second floor seating - needed quiet for personal conversation. Our request was met with quick service and we were seated per our request. Keep up the good work!
Excellent service in warm and inviting atmosphere. We were seated in a private corner of the lower level. Waitress very knowledgable on wine and menu. Generous portions and delicious meal. The warm bread roll was a nice touch. Light and airy. Will return to try brunch and upper level seating.
Had a very nice dinner and then allowed us to sit at the table for an extended period of time enjoying a couple of glasses of wine.
This restaurant is awesome. I prefer to eat upstairs, but due to a private party, we had to eat downstairs where the bar area is. Some dope kept getting calls on his cellphone and didn’t have the courtesy to put it on vibrate. Other than small annoyances such as that and a bit more noise than I like, dinner was great.
Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch experience: the restaurant was quiet, the service was impeccable, the food and drinks were excellent!
Delicious food. Great service. Very impressed. Good sized dinner and desert portions.
Gluten free options and great atmosphere
Our experience was fantastic. The server was excellent. The food was overwhelming good and the bottle of wine was delightful.
Food quality was not at the standard that I have had previously, service was below par for a restaurant of this quality
Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Food was delicious! A great experience.
Had the mushroom gnocchi was fantastic. Did the BOGO pasta on Wednesday great way to try new things.
Its always a fabulous meal at Carte blanche. And service is excellent!
