Carmelo's Coat of Arms
Love it there! Diane is great!!! The food is always amazing!
Went out for a diner at this fine restaurant and enjoyed every moment. Heather was a fantastic server and made everyone feel special. We changed the reservation from 6:45 to 5pm and they were willing and eager to serve us. The food from the bread and tapenade was great. Good extra virgin olive oil. Nice balsamic as well. The sauces was excellent on the pizza, the spaghetti and bucatini. The rigatoni was excellent as well without using a tomato sauce. Dessert was special as they served me the ricotta cheesecake and it was amazing. We also had the tiramisu which was amazing. I highly recommend the restaurant and our server Heather. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Food, as always, was delicious.
During dinner, it started to pour rain!
One of our servers, Diane, went to her car to get an umbrella for us to use to get to our car!
The food is superb. Carmelo's never disappoints and is always a place I look forward to spending time at. Carmelo and his staff hit the ball out of the park every single time. Thank you so much for an amazing anniversary meal!
My halibut was dry. Really have not had a great meal here in years. But I don’t give up...
Had the pizza of the day and the Kale salad as an appetizer. Absolutely delicious. The grilled zucchini with poached egg on top for my main entree hit the spot. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon with risotto. Atmosphere is relaxed. Nice for our anniversary dinner. Server was always right on point. Enjoyed everything about our meal. Highly recommend.
Great! Good place to be with friends!!!
We would absolutely recommend. Haven't had a dining experience like this in many, many years.
I took my wife this weekend for her birthday and I must say it was an exquisite experience! Thank you for a great night filled with great food and better service! God bless!
Dinner was wonderful and the service was top notch! The filet served with a lemon risotto was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
My favorite restaurant in the Village of Lewiston. And the owner's are just the top people. Carmelo loves his food and it shows. Can't miss.
We had the meatball appetizer was very good the lamb appetizer was outstanding my wife had the Bolognese entree it was outstanding and I had to Krispy Chicken and it was outstanding I would recommend eating there anytime
NICE PLACE TO EAT IF YOU WANT TO SPEND A BIG WAD OF CASH AND GO HOME HUNGRY. WIFE HAD THE CHICKEN DISH, PAID $24.OO FOR 1 PIECE OF CHICKEN. PASTA DISHES WERE SMALL, ONE HAD SHRIMP THE OTHER ANCHOVIES. PAID ALMOST $24.00 EACH. BEER IS SERVED IN A SMALL GLASS, BEST PART OF THE MEAL WAS THE BREAD. I AM AN ACCOMPLISHED ITALIAN COOK, 2 SMALL DESSERT ONE ROUND OF 4 BEERS, THE BILL WAS OVER $200.00. i COULD DUPLICATE THE ENTIRE MEAL, LESS THE BEER, FOR UNDER TWENTY BUCKS. ALL SERVED ALA CARTE, A NICE WAY TO PAD THE BILL, EVERYTHING IS EXTRA. AT LEAST THE BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTING. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. MUCH TO DO ABOUT
Food was ok, pan seared halibut a bit over cooked. Had to remind waitress a few times for our order. I’ve had other meals and service here that was outstanding.
The food is always high quality, cooked to perfection. I love the changing menu every time I go. Beef, fish, pasta never a bad choice. Service very attentive.
Outstanding food and service. Would recommend for a simple dinner to special occasion celebration. 10++
The food was exquisite, the cocktails were just right, and our server was excellent - very intuitive about pacing our meal as we wanted to linger and enjoy each course. A perfect evening!
Top notch venue in Center Street in Lewiston! Waitress was skilled and warm. Meal was delicious! Good wine selection.
Great food and wonderful staff
Carmelo's is a consistently excellent restaurant. Food is top notch and service always excellent. We eat here several times per month and are never disappointed.
Phenomenal as always. Perfect serving size. Enough to enjoy but not enough to regret because it was so good.
I tried to get a seat by the window. they said they couldn't do that for us..... but no one sat there until we were leaving. if they would have said "we can accommodate you but we have another reservation at 8:15"... we would have made sure we were done eating by then.
Also - my husband ordered another glass of wine and the waitress almost took the other glass that he wasn't completely done with out of his hand. he set it down for a second. she picked it up and poured the left over few sips into the new glass of wine... i just dont feel that should happen especially at a nice place like this.
Overall i loved it... and will come back again . Next time i will reserve a table by the window way in advance!
Fantastic service and great food. Would love to go back-it was worth the ride. My rigatoni with roasted eggplant and a few sardines was fantastic and was my husband's bolognese. Our budino for dessert was excellent!
Amazing service - Excellent food - Phenomenal Atmosphere
Best Resturant around
Food and service was great. Sound level in loud in side dining room.
I consider myself, a fairly good "home cook". As a result, I walk out of many restaurants very disappointed with an average meal and the price paid for such. This never happens at Carmelo's. Our recent meal was delicious. The halibut with lentils was fabulous. The three other diners at my table chose the bucatini, which they raved about. We finished with a wonderful ricotta cheesecake. The only thing that would make Carmelo's better would be some increased space between tables...noise and privacy of conversation can be a problem some evenings. Nevertheless, it definitely remains our favorite restaurant.
Having just returned from a couple of weeks in Italy, we chose Carmelo's as a way to help us adjust to being back in the states......And it did the trick. We had great wine, excellent food, a wonderful waitress (April), and a grand time with friends (who had just returned from a Croatian holiday). Not just one of the best restaurants in Niagara County, but I think in all of Western New York.
The staff at Carmelo’s is awesome! We had popped in on a busy night to try to get a table, and the hostess said it would be 30-45 minutes. With a concert starting in just over an hour and a half, we decided to try elsewhere. I checked on Open Table and saw that a reservation for Carmelo’s had appeared for 15 minutes later, and I snagged it. When we walked back into the restaurant, the hostess greeted us with a huge smile and waved us through the mass of people trying to get a table. She said someone had cancelled their reservation a minute after we walked out, and that she was so glad when she saw us grab it through Open Table. Timing could not have been better, and the food was fantastic, so we totally lucked out!!
Food was superb. I had the halibut and I licked my plate clean. We always have a great experience here. There was a very loud 4some which made it loud this evening. It was a little overwhelming some guy bragging about his life. The restaurant can’t do anything about obnoxious patrons.
Simple elegance, delectable dishes. This place never disappoints!
Delicious food skillfully prepared and expertly served. A restaurant you can return to frequently since the menu changes per local food availability. Always a pleasure to dine here!
I’ve wanted to have dinner at Carmelo’s for quite some time, but was a little worried that it might not live up to my expectations. My concern was needless, however. Both of our entries (hanger steak and halibut) were outstanding, as was our entire evening. There is not, in my opinion, a finer dining experience in Western New York.
Been here several times. We like it. Did notice that portions were on the small side, making it relatively expensive. No one had leftovers. Appetizers were too small to share. Fish entrees were embarrassingly small. Given how its menu is fresh and local, choices are limited and never the same from one night to the next. They ran out of one pasta, but did accommodate a substitute. Nice service and ambience.
Excellent homemade pasta. Superb dining experience.
We haven't been to Carmelo's in a while but were pleased with the food and the service. Our friends were very pleased also.
Classic Italian Restaurant in a fine little town. Wait staff excellent, attentive without being obtrusive, helpful with choices.
We absolutely loved every part of the evening, the calamari salad was incredible and the shrimp pasta did was wonderful our server Diane was a pleasure, we cannot wait to go back!
Delicious food, great drinks, and much improved environment since our last visit.
The food was well presented and very tasty. We split a few orders and they put the items on separate plates, which was appreciated. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. We had the lamb and calamari appatizers, both very well prepared. The main dishes were also excellent as were the deserts. The choices of wine was good. The wait-staff, while friendly, was not that attentive and we did have to request a few items 2-3 times. But, we will go back because the food was excellent
