Carmelo's Coat of Arms
Diner with my wife and two sons was great..we all had steak and was cooked perfectly. The appetizers were great as well.
A perfect Valentines Day dinner! Delicious meal, wonderful service and warm atmosphere. Thank you Carmelo!!
Second time there again the food was amazing, we started with the mixed green salad with the balsamic dressing very light and fresh, For the entrees, I had the gnocchi with lobster and my husband had the veal scallopini we were not disappointed. The wine selection is limited but pairs wonderfully with the entrees. This is fast becoming our favorite restaurant especially for special occasions, it is worth the extra cost. Heather is an amazing server.
Loved our pre Valentines meal. Fresh /warm Italian bread and Coat of Arms olive spread dipping was an ideal starter. My flatbread pizza appetizer was well crafted and delicious. My wife's beet salad was also perfectly served and seasoned. The Duck breast was a bit chewy, but absolutely delicious. Accommodations were made by Chef Carmelo to the Gnocchi to remove the lobster (my wife is vegetarian). Service was superb and dining area was very quaint and comfortable. Wine was first class as were after dinner cocktails. My only complaint was that the price of the Gnocchi was not adjusted for absence of lobster. Great job Carmelo and Staff.
Food was outstanding and delicious. Location is great as was the service
Was accommodating with diet restrictions. We called before we came and the person that answered the phone told us there were gluten free options. Not really the case. Food was still delicious.
Carmelo never disappoints. My wife tried the ramen dish that was amazing. Chicken dumpling meatballs in the dish were incredible. I had the veal piccata over polenta and this was also very good. Great combo of flavors...but that’s the norm with Carmelo’s.
I have recommended the restaurant to several friends and fine it to be excellent every time myself. The menu is changed frequently and Carmelo will whip up creative dishes even if you ask for a vegan or alternative option. The flavors are wonderful and pasta is in-house and fresh. It is a real Gem.
Carmellos food is out of this world. His combination of flavors and sauces is unmatched in the area! You really feel like you are dining in the Tuscan valley (I know - I lived for 3 years on the Mediterranean coast)
The staff is knowledgeable and kind and fun to talk to. Would recommend Carmellos to anyone that is looking for a masterful dining experience. Perfect for a family gathering or a romantic date night. A must for locals and visitors alike.
Mark at the bar and our waitress, Alicia, both were wonderful and went above and beyond to make our evening extra special. The food is always different and perfectly prepared! We love Carmelos and will continue to come back.
I've been to Carmelo's twice within the past two weeks, and both times the food was spectacular. I had 3 guests with me both times, and all 4 of us thought that the meatballs were the best we had ever had, that the gnocchi (with Canadian lobster and cauliflower-truffle sauce) was the best we had ever had, and that the veal piccata was as good as any we had ever had. I don't think there's a better restaurant in WNY.
Wonderful experience! Delicious carefully prepared food. Excellent service.
We had the steak for dinner - it was cooked to perfection. It was tender and very flavorful. We had the budino (similar to chocolate mouse) for dessert - it as well was delicious! My son said it was the best filet and chocolate dessert he has probably ever had! Looking forward to our next visit!
Amazing as always. Heather and the rest are great! Highly recommend!
Carmelo never disappoints, his food is always flavorful, unique always great. There is a very diverse menu. Something for everyone. Servers are knowledgeable and very friendly. It is a gem and I’m so glad it’s close to my home.
We have recently moved to Lewiston and found Carmelo's Coat of Arms. It reminds us of one of favorite restaurant from where we moved from but even better. Wine selection is small but incredible. The entrees are on the higher price scale but do not let that deter you from coming here for your special occasion celebration highly recommend for that special anniversary or birthday dinner. The restaurant is cozy with a warm inviting feeling. I started with the acorn squash soup with kale chips a warm creamy soup that takes the chill out of your body. If I could have licked the bowl I would but it is not that kind of restaurant. My entree was the monkfish wrapped in prosciutto with lentils on the side, fish was cooked to perfection and prosciutto was thin and crispy the infusion of tastes on the plate were mouthwatering and portions were just the right size. My husband started with the mixed greens salad with a light dressing so you had the full flavor of the fresh veggies and his entree filet mignon was cooked to the perfect medium well the way he likes it, there was nothing left on his plate for me to sneak a taste. He said it was one of the best pieces of meat that he ever had, he could cut the filet with his fork. We were treated to a special treat from the chef for dessert, a white chocolate risotto topped with chocolate nibs served warm in a small cast iron skillet. We were so full from dinner but this little treat was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. Not only was the food amazing but the service was impeccable the restaurant seemed to be run by only 2 staff members but you never felt you were waiting for anything everything was perfectly timed but you never felt rushed and could really enjoy the food and your company that you were with sharing the meal. It says casual dress but it is a place you would like to dress a little nicer to have that special night feeling.
Carmelo's is always great! Service is efficient and food is excellent.
Carmelo's is one of our favorite restaurants. Food, service and dining experience are always consistent and exceptional. Recently I ordered a sweet potato filet, one of the most amazing meals I have ever had... Good enough that I'd convert to a vegetarian if I could prepare a meal like that everyday!
Absolutely perfect. Menu changes regularly. Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent meal.
Disappointed in the quantity for the price
It was a cute cozy atmosphere however the service was slow and the food was ok.
Great food. Great place. A tad pricy so we can’t do it often but we love the food.
Very enjoyable. Food was good and the service was very good
High quality food with friendly service.
I had high hopes since so many people had recommended this restaurant. And I'd recommend it to a friend with reservations (no pun intended). First the service was great. There is a limited menu, but 3 of us chose the veal and it was ok, not great; not the best flavor and greasy. One of us ordered the pork and tomato pasta ( I can't do the italian!) and although it was very good, the portion was very small. Also...we love small local restaurants, but the heating system was terrible. There was a cold breeze blowing over our feet the entire meal.
Great food, great service!
Food was delicious!! Service was great!! Perfect spot to get together for a moms night out.
This is our all time favorite restaurant. We have been going there for about 20 years and Carmelo never disappoints! We love the atmosphere, the waitresses are always great and the food is phenomenal! If you are a foodie this is the place for you!
Nice! Great food with local selections.
Great tasting food enjoyed by all.
The food was absolutely delicious, however there are a few things that need to be mentioned. We had a reservation yet it took the hostess 15 min to figure out where to sit us. We ended up with a tiny table by the kitchen door. The food took an hour to be made. Very inconvenient for a late reservation when you are already starving. Other than that, the meatballs and the lamb were out of this world. The chocolate mouse desert is a must.
We loved Carmelo’s and the quaint atmosphere it had. The food is a little pricey but the quality of it is great so shelling out extra money didn’t seem so bad. We’ll definitely be going back.
I have never had a bad meal at Carmelo’s. Always a delightful experience.
Absolutely the best chef in the area. Never had a bad meal that was created there. Love the farm to table.
Disappointed. Made reservations only to be seated right near the door/ entry where you check in when people who walked in got better seating. Yes, we got forgotten about when it came to placing our drink and food order which was fine because at least our server was aware and apologized after the fact. The real problem was honestly the food. It just wasn't anything to write home about as they say. For 150 dollars I would at least want to take a picture of the food but it wasn't even that worthy. You get about 1.5 cups of pasta for $20 and you would think it better look and taste good. Nope! Long story short my husband got sick later that night not sure if it was the duck pasta or meatballs but it is safe to say he will never go back there. I used to love this place but there are too many other new places here where we live in lewiston that are way better when it comes to food and service. I have mixed feelings because I feel like we just came on an off night.
I bought a second home in Lewiston to eat at Carmelo's
We thought we would give this restaurant a try, but what a disappointment. I typically don’t ever leave reviews, but our experience is worth leaving one in hopes to save future customers. The food was not necessarily bad but was not worth what we paid. One dish ( 1/2 roasted chicken) comes with no sides and is $38 !!! I would have visited again but the prices are very high end for a casual restaurant, with diner type service.
Always a highlight of our annual trip to Niagara Falls. The service is friendly but professional. They always have blue cheese stuffed olives for martinis. The highlights this year were the succulent lamb rib confit, the Arrowhead Springs Red Blend, and the house made vanilla ice cream. Can’t wait to return!
