Food was average quality , ambience was average
Great food and lovely service. Would definitely go again.
lovely service, great food! would definitely recommend
A delicious meal and excellent service. What more can one say?
Honestly not good, service was really good cause the people are nice but the food was horrendous
Excellent service and lovely food. My son has numerous food allergies and was so well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again! Impeccable service form the staff despite the solid flow of customers.
Bright, colourful and inviting restaurant, very convenient to stop by after visiting museums. Greeted and served by friendly staff. Great menu selection and food was fresh and delicious.
Really annoyed. Booked for 7.45 table on Sunday. At 4.45 I had a message to say that they would close at * and so could offer a table at 6.30. That was not possible for us at that stage
Excellent meal, well served in Christmassy surroundings.
Waiters were all great and helpful, and we felt safe from a covid point of view. My only negative is that we were asked whether they could bring out our mains when we hadn’t finished our starters, which I declined, and my meal was therefore a bit dried out.
It was just ok. The food was nice, but nothing impressive. The cocktails are not good, very watery and when I ordered an Amaretto sour, I got plain Amaretto on ice. Also one of the items that we ordered wasn't delivered at all. And it was extremely noisy, but it was a busy night. Overall, it's not bad, but I wouldn't go again.
Everything was good except the person at the door wrongly pronouncing my name and being rude about it
As it was the eve of lockdown, it was a memorable dinner. Food and drink were good, our waiter was charming and efficient and the atmosphere was buzzy and we felt as if it was Xmas Eve! A really wonderful dining experience on all counts, thank you and we look forward to coming back when lockdown ends.
Two of us had an excellent seafood pasta, one of the very best we've had at Carluccio's, followed by bitter chocolate and coffee ice cream which was absolutely delicious. Wine and service were great as usual. Dinner was so good we returned the next night for the same again and weren't disappointed. Thank you.
Perfect lunch for me and my 5 year old ahead of going to the museum. Quick service, but unhurried atmosphere, good choice of food, and my meal was so tasty. My son had a generous portion of veg sticks to fill up on before his beige main of choice and a sensible sized scoop of ice cream. Great decor, charming staff, would book again.
Great service! Our children loved the food and it was excellent value.
Easy, cozy and delicious food. We would totally go back. Ambiance could absolutely improve! Service was amazing :)
I ordered the same dish as someone sitting next to me. And mine looked like it was a small portion. No taste at all.
It was my very first time in Carluccios and to be honest I didn't enjoy it enough to be back.
Wonderful service, especially kind to my 4 year old which made the experience very special. She said the pesto spaghetti was the best she’d ever had!
Excellent service, food and definitely going back x
It is my favourite restaurant in London, I love coming here every time
Wonderful staff. All very welcoming. Least resistance. Covid secure. Brilliant food.
Good and service fantastic as always. Great location but lacks ambience of some other restaurants
Not a great menu of choice, quite small with limited vegetarian options.
Again not many dessert options, and none I liked. Super fast with service and the dish was really tasty when it arrived. Nothing to entertain children, no colouring or activity menu.
The food was so bad! How can they get it wrong making great pasta - surely they should have perfected that by now - it’s their signature.
Out of the 4 of us we barely ate anything. Cold, soggy, tasteless.
Carluccio's is always good for a good value meal. The waitress was really sweet and with all the COVID restrictions, they did very well. My seafood linguine was not as good as I remember but I think that's because there were rather too many mussels in it this time. But I would definitely come back and am very sad that Carluccio's is closing down.
Very friendly staff, good menu and great kids menu. A very good visit.
Oh such a shame. We used to take our granddaughter regularly- a visit to one of the museums and then lunch at Carluccios. Since she was 2. Of course when she started school the visits stopped. She had an inset day last week so we went to the NHM and then to Carluccios for lunch. Now we have her little brother aged 3. She ate off the adult menu which was fine but I ordered from the children’s menu for him and it was inedible. Chicken so dry. I also ordered the chicken which was marginally better as the piece was a bit thicker but still very oily and unpleasant. Never use dried herbs in a breadcrumb coating - it tastes old and musty. Basic chef’s error. The kids menu used to include a drink, a lovely colouring pack, a tomato dip for the batons of carrot and cucumber. Both gone. I know times are hard right now but we were very disappointed so will try somewhere else next time we go to South Kensington.
Very good selection on the menu to sort all tastes. The service was friendly and efficient. Plenty of spacing between the tables.
Food was great - very quick to arrive and service was outstanding. The only thing I would question is the level of social distancing. It was so full (we went for an early Sunday lunch) with barely any room to move around between table. Toilets were also not particularly clean.
Very lovely meal, food came out quick and service was excellent
Poor table service- we had to get up from our table twice to get attention from the waiting staff even though there were plenty staff available.
Otherwise the environment and food was good
Nice food and friendly staff. Recommend
We visit Carluccios quite a lot. I like the fact that I know what I am getting and I have my favourites on the menu. The food is of a consistently high standard and the service is excellent.
We felt very safe and reassured when visiting the South Kensington branch in these Covid-times - the tables were spaced well apart, there was plenty of sanitiser at the entrance, all the waiting staff wore face coverings / face shields and the menus were disposed of after use.
Food was delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. Covid safety carefully adhered to
Nicely spaced tables, hand sanitiser and staff with face shields was all very reassuring. The menu was excellent with a good variety of dishes. I had the risotto with a selection of breads with oil and vinegar. My son had a pasta dish with courgette. The portions weren't massive, about right to leave room for dessert and coffee. Excellent service.
A late dinner after a long day's work. Rich, earthy, creamy mushroom soup... beautifully prepared lamb rump on bed of peas, broad beans, artichoke hearts... gelato for dessert. What's not to like?
Gorgeous food. Loved the focaccia and the bruschetta was the highlight of the meal!
Nice vegan Milanese too.
Covid 19 safe. Easy to book. Good food and friendly service.
Very friendly team, the food was beyond amazing
Hygiene level is outstanding
Definitely experience to repeat
