Carluccio's - Leeds Trinity
Make sure you book! We went on a Tuesday the restaurant was very quiet however you still needed a booking! We were turned away the first time so I opened the open table app and booked a table we were then seated within 3 minutes of first being refused.
The food was delicious and the waitresses were lovely.
However I think the management may need to look at their booking policy and discretion when its quiet.
The steak was not cooked as requested. The service was slow and we had to ask for side orders to come as they didn’t come with meals
Great location for eating when shopping. Relaxed dining experience where good Italian food is prepared fresh to your table. Staff are descreet but attentive even when it is lunchtime rush. We will be back.
Food is good value for money but largely unremarkable . Service generally good.
It was very busy but it was a Saturday night in Leeds, but we didn't have to wait for our drinks or food to be delivered. Would definitely recommend.
I got the cod and mussels. There was some sort of spiky stone in on of my mussels. I pointed it out to the waiter who said she would ask the chef what it was, didn’t hear anything back from it. My friends chicken Milanese was flavourless and portion sizes were poor so not good value for money. Took my son to the loo and there was a poor smear on the seat, I’m not joking! Don’t thunk they get checked that often for cleanliness. I was left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed and will not attend again or recommend unfortunately
Had dinner here on a Monday. Was fairly quiet as early evening. Love being able to see the Christmas lights through the window. The food & service was excellent, the staff were really friendly. We enjoyed it so much we had dinner there again on the Thursday.
Food - Bland, Boring, Tasteless
Service - Blunt, Un-friendly.
Value - Not even slightly worth it.
Ordered a steak to be cooked rare, it was still stone cold in the middle. The steak wasn’t seasoned and the mushroom sauce tasted like eating a pot of cream.
The breaded chicken was quite literally that. breaded chicken, three cold tomatoes, and a small portion of salad.
The service was not welcoming at all. We felt like we were in the way from the off. We were never asked if we enjoyed the food, and it took 20 minutes to be able to order drinks.
Fabulous food fabulous service can’t wait to go back again
Really good food and excellent service. Great atmosphere.
Didn’t even get in restaurant. Booked fur 5pm nobody in. All cleaning up abs looking ready to close Could eat on balcony so went somewhere else
The food was really nice and the atmosphere was fitting for a lovely venue, would definitely recommend to others.
Excellent service and staff. The Lasagne as always was superb
Most food options were sold out! We only had a few starters and then left shame really on a saturday night at 7:30 pm peak time
Mixed review as my son and husband both enjoyed their meals. I was not impressed and came out hungry despite having 2 courses. There was several meals not available (my first 2 choices) and we were not told about this as we sat down with the menu, or as we placed our drinks order. We weren't told until we came to order and each item I chose was unavailable. I wasn't happy, I wouldn't have stayed if I had known before we got our drinks. (I can only assume this is why a table of 5 left without ordering as we entered the restaurant). Starter portions were small and I was disappointed with my main meal, partly because I didn't really want a salad but the pasta dishes I eat were unavailable. Should've gone to Bella Pasta 😉
Our servers were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. We weren't rushed at all. A lovely meal.
Delicious food, excellent service. Not much more to ask for really! Great place to go.
Food good service good. No complaints. Would happily come back here when next in Leeds. We had a variety of dishes from salads , pasta and lamb/ chicken main all good.
Wonderful lunch with a very large menu. Good value for money.
Very nice indeed .the staff were very friendly and the food excellent.
Poor service, unorganised, had booked im advsmce but they didn't seem to care and we waited for a table. Given a dirty glass, service slow. Manager recommended a dish with tree nuts despite us clarifying several times a nut allergy. Food was really tasteless, steak the worst I've had, carbonara may as well been from a packet. This is marginally better than wetherspoons. Really has gone downhill in service, food and general clientele standards reflect.
Me and my partner went for a meal for my partners birthday, I was disappointed by the quality of the food my steak was not cooked properly, after nicely asking for the same piece to be re cooked it came back still under cooked (I’d asked for medium-well), I was shocked when we was expected to pay full for this. My partner had got spaghetti carbonara this was not well seasoned and was not presented the same as another tables. However, the staffs service could not be faulted they were very friendly and attentive,
Surprised by the quality of the food, excellent gluten free menu for our daughter. The antipasti starters were excellent and the limoncello tart was great.
Excellent service and good food
Service was exceptional. Polite and personable. It’s a shame the food was terrible. Been a fan of Carluccio’s for years….but I guess we are all just getting back to the way it was after lockdown.
Though the food & service was good, we were only offered expensive white wines as others were not available. We had to settle for a rose, which was still more expensive than we would normally pay, and it did spoil our dining experience.
Minute steak was really well done, prawns and calamari was rubbery and over cooked, very disappointed ☹️
The restaurant wasn't very busy but felt service was a little slow. When booking on line the form asked if the booking was for a special occasion, which it was for my daughters birthday, but there was no mention of this by the staff, so why ask.
Lovely meal, service was good there were only 2 young waitresses working in the evening but they did a brilliant job, I’m guessing due to Covid limited staff. Our waitress was polite and attentive she was a student so very young but a lovely girl. Well done to you all. Would definitely go there again
Staff were lovely so this is no reflection on them but the food was terrible. The lasagna was clearly reheated and tasted rubbery. Was dry and simply shoved in a dish. Quite frankly I’ve had better lasagna at a 2-4-1 pub!
Very, very disappointed. Will not be visiting again despite it being highly recommended to visit when coming to the city.
Food would have been spot on if it was hot. Taken back twice and still no better. Not to mention rude, shocking customer service from barmaid and manageress.
Disappointed initially with the cocktails, which were not made correctly and not as worth the money! They were completely tasteless.
The starters were delicious but mains were a let down. Pasta wasnt cooked properly and was very rubbery, completely inedible.
Overall, not impressed with the experience. Will not be returning.
Overall my table of 4 felt slightly disappointed with our visit to Carluccios at Trinity.
The food we were served was tasty and very nice, but that was after choosing two or three different options as the restaurant had run out of a lot of items, e.g-no carbonara, no mussles (which meant a lot of seafood dishes were not the same)
Drinks felt very expensive for what we ordered as we buy the same gin and tonic for up to £2.50 less in other establishments regulary.
Service was not particularly strong, as although staff were friendly, the drinks order was incorrect and nobody brought our water or bill when asked first time and both came at second time of asking.
Food was good, but as a group we were not particularly impressed at the experience offered to us by Carluccios which came highly recommended.
No menu for older kids at all with Limited menu of what they would like. Arrived at the table burnt (black) garlic bread which should of ended up in the bin. Not sure if the waitress was new or not but had to keep asking for help all the time.
Having already had a meal earlier in the week, I was very disappointed both by the very brusque a friendly waitress but more so by the wait for both my starter and main course arriving. The main did not appear until about 25 minutes after the starter and when I asked the waitress to chase it up she was clearly out out at the request. I have been to this restaurant many times and so was not prepared for this.
I shall put it down to a blip or shortage of staff. I am sure my next visit will restore my faith in the place.
It was a really nice evening however when ordering prosecco we received the glass with no fruit, it should always be served with a strawberry or blueberry but other than that we had a nice evening
Good food and good service in city centre location
Great food and attentive staff will definitely be returning
My breakfast was delicious, the service was outstanding. My father is hard of hearing with a broken hearing aid at the moment and out lovely hostess turned the music down for us so he could hear without an issue. We'll definately be going back for more!
Pleasant lunch time experience , with friends.
good food ,good wine, very enjoyable.
