Cantinetta - Wallingford

We were seated 35 mins late for a reservation that was already pushed by the restaurant from 6:30 to 8 in order to sit outside. So our 35 min wait was on the sidewalk outside in 40 degree weather. Food was great but arguably not worth it by that point.

Wonderful dinner! The gnocchi is perfect.

I wouldn't say their measures were very COVID save and it took us 2.5 hours to get 3 courses. I am sure they are doing their best though.

Enjoyed an al fresco dining experience with great food and service. They have a series of tables outside with gas fire pits next to each one to try to combat the cold. Warm throws to sit on. We opted to eat outside due to coronavirus and dressed warmly (it was 45 degrees). We had a really nice time, the fire pits do help with warmth and give a nice ambiance. Arrived early for our reservation and they graciously allowed us to order a bottle of wine and have a glass while waiting for our table. Ordered creamy polenta, just the right consistency and light flavoring, roasted Brussles sprouts which were nicely cooked, a little too vinegary for my taste but everyone else ate it up. The burrata was THE best I've ever had, yum! For dinner, everyone ordered a pasta, which were all perfectly cooked al dente -cavatelli, not too spicy, I would have liked more of the sauce -wild boar gnocchi and the butternut squash ravioli. Excellent meal and the plates went back empty. Service was friendly and efficient. Look forward to eating here again.

Sat outside beside a fire pit and on sheepskin seats which were a great touch since it was pretty chilly. Went for Seattle restaurant week and had a wonderful, generously portioned 3 course prix fixe meal. Tagliatelle with Cacio e Pepe was amazing👌

Thank you Restaurant Week for helping me rediscover this gem. My first indoor dining experience since last winter! But next time I want to be outside, channeling Switzerland on sheepskin. The tagliatelle cace e pepe was so good that I booked a return reservation as soon as I got home! Ask about the house bottle of wine.

We took advantage of the outdoor seating on a mildly stormy evening, and, with the covers and fires, it worked great.

We had the best experience on Halloween! Everyone was super respectful of social distancing and we had the best service! Wish I caught our servers name because she was so attentive and sweet! The ambiance was more than I could have dreamed of! 10/10 will be back very soon! :)

The food was simply outstanding. Service and pace of the various courses was spot on.

Food was so delicious! This has become one of my favorite Italian spots in Seattle. Flavorful and perfectly cooked homemade pasta. Try the pappardelle bolognese and the truffle pasta dish. Tiramisu was excellent as well.

We got the prix fixe Seatle Restaurant Week 3 course meal, which was delicious! Had the pappardelle & the tagliatelle, casio e pepe, which were great! Outdoor seating was warm with fire pits and socially distanced.

Fantastic food and exceptionally friendly staff. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with candles and outdoor fire tables. We feel safe coming here as there is good ventilation and distancing. we will be back again soon

Easily our favorite Italian food in the Seattle area--we will keep coming back as often as we can.

Cantinetta has done an excellent job of socially distancing the tables and keeping the front door open to allow for air circulation.

More importantly, the ambiance was fantastic, the food was delicious and our server was wonderful. We’ll be back!

Look no further if you want true Northern Italian style dishes. Everything was delicious.

Wonderful food and service! Celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary there. Loved it!!

The service at was excellent so there's not much more to say about it than that! The food however was okay. We had melon + prosciutto (the ham was kinda warm which makes the fat melty and that's just gross. Also, that combo of sweet and salty doesn't work - melon doesn't stand up to the the saltiness of that meat!), the Fig I barely tasted it). Oh, and truffle polenta...anything with truffle should be amazing, amiright? Well, it was creamy, but I barely tasted the truffle and there were 3 big slices on top. What the heck? Truffle is a powerful flavor and it didn't come through. We also had the lemon panna cotta for dessert which was tasty but ordinary.

We sat outside (we had a little puppy and although a small threat of rain the umbrellas made us feel protected.) The food is always excellent, as well as the cocktails. This was the first real trattoria in the neighborhood and I have been coming here for years, with the quality reliable. The chef(s) keep the favorites, and add some seasonal inventions often worth trying. Looking forward to supporting you through these tough times.

Fantastic food and service once you sit down. But be prepared to wait for an outside table even if you have a reservation. Also, if you’re sitting outside during the warmer months, avoid the side next to their parking lot as the smell of the garbage bins can be a deterrent.

We want to love this place more than we do. The food is usually fantastic, definitely a notch above most. However, this time, the Tagliatelle with strawberries fell short. Nice idea, but the strawberries were so diluted in flavor, it didn't really work. We also find this place intolerably loud. They need acoustic treatment, seriously. I could barely talk to my spouse and had lost my voice by the end of dinner. We skipped dessert, mostly because we couldn't deal with the noise anymore. It's a real shame because we would be regulars if the noise level was addressed. Sit outside, and expect some stellar hits on the menu, but also misses. Servers were super friendly and attentive, however meal service is not speedy, so expect to hang out for a while - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I’ve been there twice, and I love it. The food is amazing, and the stuff is pretty cool!

The homemade pasta was delicious and so was the risotto. Will definitely go back.

Loved the food. Loved the wine. Still nervous about covid. But overall a great experience.
