Fabulous as always!

Difficult time for restaurants especially when they have to operate an outside hospitality policy
candlelight did absolutely everything they could with a nice marquee and a large fire pit to keep us warm.
Food was good
Service excellent
price reasonable.

It was our first lunch outside with family we had not seen for a year and we were fortunate that we had sunshine. Although tbe car park was not made for outside seating (slight slope that made for a little uncomfortable eating), the Inn did well in setting up as best as possible and the service was fantastic!

A fantastic Gastro Pub, I enjoy everything about this Restaurant. The food is outstanding, the service wonderful and the ambiance just perfect. Always the experience I want.

We had lunch outside in the car park, and as usual the food and service was very good, the only thing I would say is that the portion size for my fish and chips was on the small size for the price.

Excellent setting and service and the food was great. Will be going back.

Fabulous Sunday roast even with Covid restrictions

Wow what a great evening. Setting was great, food and service exceptional.

First day open after lockdown. Staff really friendly & helpful. Very clear on their responsibilities. Food, as ever, was really good.

Candlelight Inn staff and owners have done an outstanding job under v difficult circumstances but happily their efforts have been realized in amazing food, service and ambiance everything felt safe covid wise. Love

The Candlelight never fails to deliver, even in the tough times of the pandemic the staff make a visit special. It was my partner’s birthday and The Candlelight has become our favourite place to go for a meal. They are renovating/extending to increase their appeal even further which is fantastic news. Happy Christmas to all at the Candlelight, we will be back soon.

A gem of a pub, a warm welcome, fantastic food and excellent service every time we go there.

Room was a little drafty, if you’re are sat near the door.
The main was a little disappointing in terms of portion size. The rest was fine.
We had the goose for mains, which was delicious.

Very friendly and service minded staff.

Ambience was really good, especially when it was enhanced by the power cut and the place was lit by candles only 😊

Delicious soup and excellent sandwiches. Perfect place for a rest on the long drive home from Cornwall as so close to the a303

We had a lovely roast here, food was excellent and enjoyed sat next to the fire. Was very quiet but cosy - beautiful pub. Service was quite slow when we wanted to pay the bill but it wasn’t an issue as we weren’t in a rush. Would definitely recommend.

It's our local & we like to go there. Would have liked Plat du Jour but not on offer in December although given as Menu on Open Table.

Our first visit to this pub and instantly felt welcome and relaxed. The atmosphere was so lovely with both log burners going and all the Christmas lights. The service along with food was exceptional and I couldn’t recommend it high enough.

We visited the candlelight last Friday evening, we were greeted with a very warm welcome and made fimilar with the covid regs in place. We were buzzing to see the two open fires were lit as it was freezing outside! The service was excellent and the food even better. We will be visiting again in the spring. Outstanding.
