candela restaurant - wine bar - tapas
Always an amazing experience! Every visit to Wilton manners includes a trip to candela… From the moment you walk in the front door, you’re greeted with incredible hospitality and outstanding service… The food is beyond exceptional and the wine selection is amazing.
The restaurant was in a strip mall and at first we weren’t overwhelmed with the location and appearance. However, I’m glad we gave it a try. It was worth it! Food was fantastic, service was great. We will be back.
Great find. Great variety and near authentic experience. It was also good to see most patrons actually having conversation while enjoying their tapas instead of staring in silence at their iPhone. As simple as it is the warm bread and cheese board are a great way to kick off you meal.
Costumer service is very rude and unprofessional. This need to improve. Also there is not octupus. How is a Spanish restaurant doesn't have octupus....
Excellent food! Will be going back!
We love this place! And the owner is the nicest gentleman and really cares about the guests. The male server and the busser/food runner don’t know if they were having a bad night or woke up on the wrong side of the bed but they were so rude that it left a very sour taste in our mouths. I will rethink about coming back here.
Yummy food and wine. Fun and helpful server
Wonderful food and service. Live music was nice but took a little getting used to the volume. Great place for a date or a nice evening out.
We eat there about once a week
As always Candela exceeded my expectations. Took my out of town Dad her for an amazing dinner. The papas bravos are amazing! This is one of our go to places in town.
Very good place for a typical spanish food. Fair price
Great food, wine, service and ambiance. Food is authentic and tastes homemade. Only negative is that you cannot order rice as a side dish. Meal would definitely increase in enjoyment if rice would be offered as a side dish.
Noise from guitarist and guests made us eat and leave. We did not linger for coffee or desert. The food was over cooked and portion of Iberico ham and manchego cheese were modest for a high price. The food was over cooked. The paella was dry. It was not an enjoyable evening out.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We will be back. The food is delicious!!
The food was excellent! It is a great little neighborhood place in a strip mall. I highly recommend Candela for great food and wine.
Thank you we will be back!
everything was delicious we'll be back very soon
Server very helpful and attentive. Garlic shrimp and pepper stuffed with goat cheese, spinach, raisins fantastic! A neighborhood gem!!!!
Great as ever
Armando is delightful
First choice for fun group dinner
Great owners and food, as always excellent! Will be back
We always enjoy Candela. Excellent service and outstanding food preparation. A highly skilled chef in the kitchen.
Our favorites are the seafood paella and the croquetas. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks and smells wonderful.
Interesting wine list too.
Service was horrible.....the waiter said to us I have a special there and keep walking. Was like he was working for days and the rest opened at 5 PM. Appetizers were ok but the paella was so salty and burned.... not ambiente music....
Lovely place and amazing food, menu quite short and for place that name itself “tapas” bar is just not enough to choose from, but even though I recommend it highly because the food that I ordered taste like heaven.
Candela is awesome! Great food for a special occasion. Staff is delightful and accommodating. Highly recommend all the food choices and, yes, we have tried just about all of them!
nice place for traditional spanish food. would love to have more variety on the appetizer list kind of like a tapas menu.
It had been over a year since our last visit and we were impressed with the improvement in the menu. We started off with the cheese and meat board. It was filled with delicious meats of top quality but only had one cheese and seven olives. I had one of their paella dishes and it was very good. My friend had a chicken dish with a creamy mustard sauce that was out of this world. we will definitely go back and not wait a year this time.
Very authentic food and excellent execution. Service was very professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back.
We ate only tapas and it was very good, particularly the desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed the guitarist. The owner was very friendly and couldn’t have been nicer. It was a lovely evening.
very flavorful food, and prices are reasonable, including wines. service could be a bit more polished.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The food, tapas, was wonderful and the gypsy guitar made a great experience perfect.all four of us can’t wait to return.
This visit was our fourth time to the restaurant, and we found everything from the charcuterie appetizer to the stews and the lamb shank to be excellent.
The food is outstanding! The freshest cheese and bread. Melt in your mouth octopus. The best fideua I’ve ever had. Great service, good wine menu. I could eat here every day and be happy.
As always, a delightful dinner. Five of us shared three starters, including a delicious beet salad. We then ordered four mains including a calamari dish, a pork meal, chicken and a chickpeas and sausage casserole. Each dish had its own distinctive flavor. Each dish was tasty, and went well with a Tempranillo wine, reasonably priced and robust.
Service was excellent and because we were very early in the evening, the restaurant was quiet when we arrived. However, by the time we finished our meals, there was a nice ambiance in the space, including live guitar music.
Overall, it was another great evening meal at Candela.
We were excited to have a nice Spanish dinner
First off appetizers and one of our favorites we were told they ran out of , if they were busy I could understand but the place was 3/4 empty, ok we move on drinks very much limited selection but we made do with water , no juices, only soda or alcohol
Ordered seafood paella for TWO, after a long wait finally the food arrive I stared at the skimpy plate and politely asked the waitress where the rest of it was . She looked at me like a deer in the headlights and proceeded to tell me that it was ONE serving for both of us
Obviously the server didn’t enter in the order correctly to the kitchen and then blamed us for not specify we wanted 2 individual servings although the only menu clearly states there is a 60 dollar paella for TWO
LEFT THERE STILL HUNGRY and less than satisfied
Probably won’t return
Our favorite for tapas, wine and fun! This is an amazing place with over the top food and service.
Very very good food, service and great live Spanish guitar!
The best fidua and paella outside of Spain!
What an amazing restaurant, food, environment and services!!! Definitely a 5 Star place!!! Food was absolutely delicious and the serves were on top of every single detail. There was live music-a guitarist and a violinist- who played beautifully!! We’ll come back!!!
Overall a fabulous experience. Between the wine, guitar, delicious food, and wonderful service, it was a perfect evening. Will be back!
Amazing food. Great restaurant with amazing wines. The staff knows there stuff and the chef/owner puts out unbelievable food.
