Cafe Latte is ideal in winter for a hearty pasta ragu and cosy atmosphere and perfect on a Summers day, bringing seafood and fresh produce to the forefront. Open from morning to late at night you can ensure to be welcomed and exposed to our tasty menu.
Our location on Malvern road makes it easy to get to as trams are right on the doorstep and we have restaurant parking along with street parking.
Just a pleasure to go to. The service and the food were simply stunning. We are happy to recommend and go back again
Food and waiting staff excellent. Very busy with a great atmosphere.
lovely restaurant very Italian nice ambience and great food
All meals were good but one main course did not come until everyone else had finished theirs ? Why
Great lunch with friends. Will definitely go again.
I’ve been a regular for about 15 years and have always enjoyed Luca and his team’s hospitality. Dined here last week with a business colleague and Id have to say best meal I’ve enjoyed here - Red Emperor - fish of the day was absolutely delicious. Service as fabulous as well. Thanks guys!
Delicious long lunch with great service...we will be back!
A lovely meal in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting. Fabulous service and delicious food.
We were met warmly at the door and the warmth continued throughout the night. Great service from Aristotle, great food and a terrific night. Will return soon.
Good food and good service.
Italian wine list but waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in her suggestions.
I found the restaurant to be very noisy. Table next with 3 men who were very unrespectful for other diners. They were talking very loud.
The service was slow and food did not have taste and was not hot.
I asked questions of waiter and he could not understand English and kept speaking Italian words and I didn't know what he was talking about.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I was very disappointed overall.
A lack of soy milk is not only odd but disappointing for a restaurant of this standard.
Delicious food and lovely ambience ..... wine list very pricey. Overall a great night.
Food was Ok to pretty good. No issues with the attentive waiters. No-one seemed to know about the wines, ie the tasting notes or even having tried them which was surprising and disappointing. Management needs to invest more in education of their staff.
Really rude service and overpriced. So disappointing I used to really love it there.
Excellent Pasta, good value Italian wines, great friendly service, relaxed Bistro/cafe atmosphere
Overall it was a good experience and together with our 2 guests ex England we enjoyed the night.
Service was great with good drinks options. Entrées & Mains outstanding but for all 4 of us (who ordered 4 different selections) Desserts were (to put it politely) underwhelming and disappointing. Which spoilt the otherwise high quality evening!
For a 'not cheap' fine dining experience that is how the final assessment for Food was 3/5 ad Overall 4/5 (instead of 5/5).
We had a very enjoyable night with delicious food and great service. We sat for a long time and did not feel we were being rushed out or ignored. Highly recommend.
Café Latte is one of 'locals'. Good for any time of the day and can always be assured of a warm welcome and interesting food.
A local favourite. Consistent good food and ambience.
This is the second time we have visited Cafe Latte & it certainly won’t be the last. The service is impeccable and the wait staff extremely attentive. The wine list is extensive & the cuisine well presented and delicious. I could not recommend more highly.
Disappointing. Did not like the food at all. The wine list being only Italian was a detraction. It was very noisy and difficult to hear conversation on our table of 4.
Always great food and friendly staff. It is always busy and was pretty full when I dined there. It isn't quite but has a good vibe and atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon. I booked through the opentable app which was very easy and straight forward.
Food was ok but nothing special. Bit dissappointed.
Good menu, delicious meals and attentive service. Would go again
Been amazing for over 20 years - very hard to do. A delicious lunch - thankyou.
Always a good vibe at Café Latte.
Great little piece Italy in Melbourne.
This Resteraunt ,has good service and nice easy food .a good wine list and nice atmosphere .
The only thing is that the food can be slightly cold on arrival at table
Great ambiance and staff lovely. We all chose different pasta however rather disappointing. Not much flavour and very small serving of seafood to pasta.
This was an intimate dinner for two - it was her birthday. I neede to ensure that everythign would be right. As always, it was. The dining experience at Cafe Latte was again rewarding. The authenticity of its Pugliese cuisine, the ambience (dimmed lights, serenity and unobtrusive service) and the gorgeous Italian rose (suggested by the waiter) were something to behold. Cafe Latte never disappoints and that's due to its masterful owner, Luca running a tight, yet relaxed restaurant with consistently beautiful food coming out of the kitchen and professional and friendly staff attending to your every need. Do yourself a favour - go!
Always excellent. The staff are wonderful. The food is always great, the wine list is good and the staff know what to recommend.
Great Italian food and fantastic service. Chefs menu with wine highly recommended
We were an early booking , 6.30pm, with the threat of being asked to leave at the internet stipulated 7.30. However, the staff dismissed that as "internet talk" and we were able to enjoy a more relaxed evening than expected.
Had the lunch special again. Excellent food and service as always.
Excellent service. Delicious meal. A very positive experience.
Looked after so well by our waiter from Malaysia.
So helpful, informed and on the ball. Nothing a problem.
Great food although a tad pricey. Very tasty indeed. A great Valentines Day dinner. Loved it!
Over all a rather under velmeing experience made the mistake of ordering the de gustation menu ... portions were very tiny given it was meant for two on Valentine's Day dinner (50 grms of fish for two , 1tiny duck breast cut in half for two etc)taste , presentation, selection of courses and flavour below par, service.... finally got the ice I requested after asking 5 times from2 different waiters at the end of the evening ... we were seated next to the bar .... (no exaggeration)
Paid $238 for 2 people ( included two glassses of house wine）went home and made myself a toasted sandwich ..by the way . I am a very small eater ... clearly not a de gustation type restaurant as it showed the en experience for that type of dineiing
Had such a lovely time and the staff are so friendly and helpful in explaining the specials and matching wines.
Caffelatte never disappoints. The food is wonderfully flavoursome but never lacks subtlety. I haven't yet been to Puglia - but I imagine that this is a very good introduction to the region's culinary style.
